Definitions

  • the invention relates to an internal combustion engine, in particular one Boxer engine, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • crankcase for an internal combustion engine known in which one half of the bearing bridge is part of the housing and the other Half of the bearing bracket is fixed using fastening screws.
  • the housing halves are connected to one another by means of continuous cylinder head screws connected.
  • a crankcase is known from US-PS 29 69 781, which is connected to the bearing bracket via common screws.
  • US-A-3 568 649 shows a crankcase with both halves of the bearing bridge are each part of the two housing halves. Both housing halves are connected to each other and to cylinder heads located on both sides by cylinder head bolts passing through the bearing bridge.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an internal combustion engine, in particular a To create boxer engine that has a simple assembly structure, one Construction with different material enables and optimal Oil supply to both crankshaft bearings guaranteed.
  • the bearing bridge made of a different material than the cylinder crankcase can exist and an assembly detached from Crankcase is done. This is made possible by specifying the bearing bridge in the crankcase via separately arranged from the bearing bracket screws Cylinder head bolts.
  • crankcase On the crankcase are receptacles for units like for a starter etc. with cast on. Cooling channels are also integrated in the housing. Furthermore, the two housing halves have walls to form one Oil room in which an Oiiang worn with openings to the oil pan are arranged on the housing halves.
  • Cylinder crankcase In the connecting surfaces of the bearing bridge Cylinder crankcase are embedded oil passages from the plane Connection surface of the bearing bridge are covered.
  • the oil circuit runs over the oil channels in the cylinder crankcase, through cross holes and Oblique holes in the bearing bridge to the crankshaft bearings. over Some holes in the cylinder head screws are filled with oil the cylinder head, which has corresponding oblique channels.
  • the parting plane of the cylinder crankcase is in the same parting plane as the bearing bridge and runs through the center of the crankshaft bearing. This results in a symmetrical crankcase with the respective Cylinder heads.
  • An internal combustion engine in particular a boxer engine, essentially comprises a crankcase 1 in which a bearing bracket 2 is held. With the Crankcase 1, the respective cylinder heads 3 and 4 are connected.
  • the crankcase consists of an aluminum material and the The bearing bridge consists, for example, of a cast iron.
  • the cylinder crankcase 1 consists of housing halves 5 and 6, one Have parting plane a-a, which with the parting plane b-b of the bearing bracket 2 matches.
  • the two halves 2a, 2b of the bearing bridge 2 are arranged in the same direction Bearing bracket screws 7, 8 connected to each other.
  • Each housing half 5, 6 of the crankcase 1 is over cylinder head screws 9, 10; 9a, 10a clamped to the bearing bridge 2, the screws 9, 10 and 9a, 10a also fix the cylinder head 3, 4 to the housing 1.
  • the Cylinder head screws 9, 10 are opposite to the others Cylinder head screws 9a, 10a are arranged and each end is based on one Location hole of the bearing bracket 2.
  • each crankcase half 6 and 5 the level Areas 13 and 14 of the bearing bridge halves 2a and 2b face each other Oil channels 15, 16 and 17 inserted. These are from the opposite flat contact surfaces 13 and 14 covered, so that each closed Oil channels result.
  • the oil channels 15 and 16 are mutually via a first housing-side Channel 18 and the oil channel 15 of one housing half 6 is connected to the oil channel 17 further housing half 5 via at least two transverse channels 19 and 20 in the Bearing bridge 2 connected. Branch from these channels 19, 20 and from channel 17 Inclined channels 21 in the bearing bridge 2, the 22 to the storage locations Guide the crankshaft.
  • the inlet opening 22 of the oblique channels 21 are closer in FIG. 5 shown.
  • the inclined channels 21 can with the two transverse channels 14, 20th preferably have the same oil inlet opening 19a.
  • the inlet openings of channels 19 and 21 or 20 and 21 are separated.
  • the oil channel 16 has an inflow at 23, which is connected to an oil pump 24 is.
  • the oil flows through the through an intermediate oil filter 25 in the channel 16 Channel 18 on the housing side to the oil channel 15. Before entering this channel 15 the oil flows through an oil / water heat exchanger 26.
  • the cylinder head screws 9, 10 and 9a, 10a are in bores 30 of the housing 1 and the heads 4 and 5 arranged, which simultaneously oil bushings form. For this purpose, they have a larger diameter than the screws. From these bores branch off connecting channels 31 into the oil channel 15. Likewise are 6 connecting channels 32 of the holes in the second housing half Bolts 9, 10 are provided in the oil channel 17. As a result, the oil from the Oil channels 15 and 17 to each head side 4, 5 through the holes in the Cylinder head screws 9, 9a and 10, 10a flow, including the holes an inclined channel 33 arranged in the head branches off.
  • Oil channels 15, 16 and 17 almost over the entire length of the crankcase 1, wherein in the housing halves 5 on both long sides, the oil channels 15, 16 and the housing half 6 is arranged only on one long side of the oil channel 17.
  • Each half 5,6 of the cylinder crankcase 1 has at least one opposite cast-on cooling channels 35, 36. Between Cooling channels 35 of a housing side, a starter receptacle 37 is provided is assigned to the housing half 6 and ends with the parting plane a-a.
