  • a double-function tool of this kind according to the example which has just been described, has the following advantage: while the steam treats the lock of hair after being distributed according to the arrows 91 in Figure 18, the excess is taken up by suction according to the arrows 92 of this same figure 18; this gives some security to the treatment by avoiding burns of the scalp by excess of vapor, and can possibly absorb odors which could be released during the treatment of the lock of hair.
  • the dual-function tool may include a body 60 divided into two cells 93.94 separated by a partition 97 which, as shown in Figure 20, is arranged to ninety degrees relative to the partition 79 of the double-function tool of Figures 16 to 19; the sleeve 61 "steam" opens into the cell 93 and the sleeve 76 "air” in the cell 94; according to this variant, the distribution grid 86 includes rows of holes 95, 96 not alternating, the holes 95 being intended for the distribution of the vapor and the holes 96 at the air intake; such a tool is moved along the lock of hair, from root to tip, so that the hair is first subjected to steam and then treated with aspirated air, which allows in particular their cooling.

  • the tool carries teeth "vapor” 110 and protective teeth 111, solid, without orifice, longer than teeth 110 and adapted to cooperate with leather haired 112; the suction ports 113 open out between the teeth near their roots.
  • the safety mentioned above can be obtained from the as illustrated in FIG. 26: the "steam” orifices 104 and “suction” 105 open radially at equal distance from the tips of the teeth; this provision limits the elevation of temperature of the scalp and allows immediate suction of the residual steam; according to this figure 26, each tooth has two orifices, which are arranged radially in opposite directions and on the other side of each tooth.
  • these can have one or more orifices arranged in any manner, or aligned longitudinally; in in this case, a row of holes can be replaced by a slot longitudinal of small width.
  • tool 20 is consisting of a metallic body 120, for example made of aluminum, defining a cell 121 in which the sleeve 61 extends intended to receive the "vapor" channel 54 of the tool holder 30; the cell 121 is in communication with the outside via orifices 122 provided in the vicinity of the end of teeth 123; the body 120 also has a very thermally conductive mass constituted for example by a copper bar 124 held in the body 120 by overmolding; the end 125 of the bar 124 protrudes outside the body 120 and is frustoconical; the tool holder 30 is provided with a heated heating element 126 electrically by an electrical resistor 127 and comprising a housing 128, also of frustoconical shape, intended to receive the end 125 of the bar 124; so when such a tool 20 is mounted on such

  • Each of the elements 200, 201 has a section of general shape triangular and are arranged so that in the rest position towards which they are stressed by elastic means not shown, the working faces 202, 203 are in contact with one of the other, their longitudinal end edges, respectively 210 and 211, then also being in intimate contact with one another.
  • each of the elements 200, 201 carries an operating lever, respectively 204 and 205, extending parallel to the grip handle 36 of the tool holder 3; by exerting an effort to bring the two levers 204 together and 205, as illustrated by arrows 206 and 207, the faces of work 202 and 203 deviate from each other, as illustrated by arrows 208, 209, thus making it possible to introduce between them a lock of hair to be treated; by releasing the effort on the levers 204 and 205, the lock of hair is pinched between the working faces 202 and 203: it is then enough to move the tool along the drill bit hair from root to tip while steam is distributed through the working face 202 and the lock of hair, said vapor being taken up by the working face 203 connected to the channel "aspiration" 76: it should be noted that such a provision makes it possible to get closer to the scalp safely, steam being taken up immediately by the "suction" channel 76 after that she crossed the lock of hair.
  • the articulation axis of the two elements 200, 201 bearing the working faces 202, 203 of the tool 2 in FIG. 29 is axial, that is to say in the extension of the axis of the handle 36 of the tool holder 3; such an axis of articulation can be transverse, that is to say in a direction practically perpendicular to the axis of the tool holder handle; such a tool 20 is shown in FIG. 30 and comprises a body 300 extended according to a fixed jaw 301 hollow bearing the flat working face 302 with holes 303 in communication with the "steam" sleeve 304.

  • the working faces of the tools described so far have a flat shape; it is possible to give to the faces of work any desirable form depending on the operation of treatment of the hair that one wishes to perform; for example, as shown in figure 31, the treatment area of the face of work may have undulations 313 arranged axially by relative to the tool, i.e. transversely to the drill bit hair to be treated; of course, the movable jaw carries also undulations, of a shape complementary to that of undulations 313 of the fixed jaw, undulations of a jaw fitting into the undulations of the other jaw.
  • a clamp such as the tool 20 of FIG. 30 can be used in the following sequential manner: after being pinched between the wavy jaws, the lock of hair is subjected to a vapor current and an air suction current, simultaneously, for a few seconds; then, the current of steam is stopped and the wick is only subjected to the draft of sucked air which cools it; the air flow is stopped, the clamp open and the lock of hair released.
  • the treatment area of the working faces of the tools has dimensions, and in particular a length, determined by construction so that it can treat a large sheet of hair; however, it is not always possible to cover said zone over its entire length, taking into account the various widths of the layers of hair to be treated; so that the distribution of the treatment fluids is as homogeneous as possible, that the treatment zone is entirely or partially covered with hair, the invention provides for adapting the pressure drop, through the distribution holes, to the fluid which crosses and in particular at its pressure; thus, and this is visible in the figures, the steam being distributed under high pressure, having regard to the other fluids distributed, such as blown or sucked air, the "steam" holes are smaller than the "suction"holes; good results have been obtained, with regard to the homogeneity of the distribution of the vapor, when the pressure drop across the "steam" working face was greater than 0.05. 10 -3 bar, for example equal to 0.1.10 -3 bar.
  • the diversity of tools combined with the various possibilities of the generator can lead to using the same channel for fluids different ; it is also possible to use the same channel in one way or the other, for example by pushing steam in it under high pressure in one direction, or by sucking air into it the other direction; the invention provides, in such a case, to provide such a different pressure drop channel depending on whether it is used in a one way or the other.
  • FIG. 33 An exemplary embodiment is shown on the Figure 33; the channel 400 shown in section in this figure shows a cylindrical wall 406 traversed by radial orifices 401 distributed circumferentially; two semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 lining the cylindrical wall 406 internally, covering the orifices 401; the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 are in relatively elastic material and are attached to the cylindrical wall in the middle, along a generator, as shown in 404, 405; the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 are crossed by holes 407 with a diameter smaller than that of the orifices 401.
  • the assembly according to the invention may also include a device for filtering conveyed fluids to absorb odors, excess products used in working the hair, reaction byproducts, or to condense certain vapors thus avoiding their condensation in the place where the hair is worked, especially on window panes.
  • the same distribution channel can also be borrowed in the same direction by two different fluids: by example, hot air and steam being rarely used simultaneously for the same tool, the assembly can be arranged in so that steam and air can pass through the same channel distribution when one of the hot air or steam fluids is used.
  • hair work could be done in certain sequences that could be manually selected from pushers carried by the housing certain sequences being specific to certain processing tools particular it is possible, when these tools are mounted so removable on the tool holder, provide contact means on the tool holder and on the tool which, when the tool is in place, designate automatically to the microprocessor for managing the assembly according to the invention the sequence to be ensured for working with hair using this particular tool.
