  • a double-function tool of this kind according to the example which has just been described, has the following advantage: while the steam treats the lock of hair after being distributed according to the arrows 91 in Figure 18, the excess is taken up by suction according to the arrows 92 of this same figure 18; this gives some security to the treatment by avoiding burns of the scalp by excess of vapor, and can possibly absorb odors which could be released during the treatment of the lock of hair.
  • the dual-function tool may include a body 60 divided into two cells 93.94 separated by a partition 97 which, as shown in Figure 20, is arranged to ninety degrees relative to the partition 79 of the double-function tool of Figures 16 to 19; the sleeve 61 "steam" opens into the cell 93 and the sleeve 76 "air” in the cell 94; according to this variant, the distribution grid 86 includes rows of holes 95, 96 not alternating, the holes 95 being intended for the distribution of the vapor and the holes 96 at the air intake; such a tool is moved along the lock of hair, from root to tip, so that the hair is first subjected to steam and then treated with aspirated air, which allows in particular their cooling.

  • the tool carries teeth "vapor” 110 and protective teeth 111, solid, without orifice, longer than teeth 110 and adapted to cooperate with leather haired 112; the suction ports 113 open out between the teeth near their roots.
  • the safety mentioned above can be obtained from the as illustrated in FIG. 26: the "steam” orifices 104 and “suction” 105 open radially at equal distance from the tips of the teeth; this provision limits the elevation of temperature of the scalp and allows immediate suction of the residual steam; according to this figure 26, each tooth has two orifices, which are arranged radially in opposite directions and on the other side of each tooth.
  • these can have one or more orifices arranged in any manner, or aligned longitudinally; in in this case, a row of holes can be replaced by a slot longitudinal of small width.
  • tool 20 is consisting of a metallic body 120, for example made of aluminum, defining a cell 121 in which the sleeve 61 extends intended to receive the "vapor" channel 54 of the tool holder 30; the cell 121 is in communication with the outside via orifices 122 provided in the vicinity of the end of teeth 123; the body 120 also has a very thermally conductive mass constituted for example by a copper bar 124 held in the body 120 by overmolding; the end 125 of the bar 124 protrudes outside the body 120 and is frustoconical; the tool holder 30 is provided with a heated heating element 126 electrically by an electrical resistor 127 and comprising a housing 128, also of frustoconical shape, intended to receive the end 125 of the bar 124; so when such a tool 20 is mounted on such

  • the element 200 is mounted rotating around the "vapor" channel 61 of the tool holder 3, while the element 201 is mounted rotating around the "suction" channel 76 of the tool holder 3.
  • Each of the elements 200, 201 has a section of general shape triangular and are arranged so that in the rest position towards which they are stressed by elastic means not shown, the working faces 202, 203 are in contact with one of the other, their longitudinal end edges, respectively 210 and 211, then also being in intimate contact with one another.
  • each of the elements 200, 201 carries an operating lever, respectively 204 and 205, extending parallel to the grip handle 36 of the tool holder 3; by exerting an effort to bring the two levers 204 together and 205, as illustrated by arrows 206 and 207, the faces of work 202 and 203 deviate from each other, as illustrated by arrows 208, 209, thus making it possible to introduce between them a lock of hair to be treated; by releasing the effort on the levers 204 and 205, the lock of hair is pinched between the working faces 202 and 203: it is then enough to move the tool along the drill bit hair from root to tip while steam is distributed through the working face 202 and the lock of hair, said vapor being taken up by the working face 203 connected to the channel "aspiration" 76: it should be noted that such a provision makes it possible to get closer to the scalp safely, steam being taken up immediately by the "suction" channel 76 after that she crossed the lock of hair.
  • the articulation axis of the two elements 200, 201 bearing the working faces 202, 203 of the tool 2 in FIG. 29 is axial, that is to say in the extension of the axis of the handle 36 of the tool holder 3; such an axis of articulation can be transverse, that is to say in a direction practically perpendicular to the axis of the tool holder handle; such a tool 20 is shown in FIG. 30 and comprises a body 300 extended according to a fixed jaw 301 hollow bearing the flat working face 302 with holes 303 in communication with the "steam" sleeve 304.

  • the working faces of the tools described so far have a flat shape; it is possible to give to the faces of work any desirable form depending on the operation of treatment of the hair that one wishes to perform; for example, as shown in figure 31, the treatment area of the face of work may have undulations 313 arranged axially by relative to the tool, i.e. transversely to the drill bit hair to be treated; of course, the movable jaw carries also undulations, of a shape complementary to that of undulations 313 of the fixed jaw, undulations of a jaw fitting into the undulations of the other jaw.
  • a clamp such as the tool 20 of FIG. 30 can be used in the following sequential manner: after being pinched between the wavy jaws, the lock of hair is subjected to a vapor current and an air suction current, simultaneously, for a few seconds; then, the current of steam is stopped and the wick is only subjected to the draft of sucked air which cools it; the air flow is stopped, the clamp open and the lock of hair released.
  • the treatment area of the working faces of the tools has dimensions, and in particular a length, determined by construction so that it can treat a large sheet of hair; however, it is not always possible to cover said zone over its entire length, taking into account the various widths of the layers of hair to be treated; so that the distribution of the treatment fluids is as homogeneous as possible, that the treatment zone is entirely or partially covered with hair, the invention provides for adapting the pressure drop, through the distribution holes, to the fluid which crosses and in particular at its pressure; thus, and this is visible in the figures, the steam being distributed under high pressure, having regard to the other fluids distributed, such as blown or sucked air, the "steam" holes are smaller than the "suction"holes; good results have been obtained, with regard to the homogeneity of the distribution of the vapor, when the pressure drop across the "steam" working face was greater than 0.05. 10 -3 bar, for example equal to 0.1.10 -3 bar.
  • the diversity of tools combined with the various possibilities of the generator can lead to using the same channel for fluids different ; it is also possible to use the same channel in one way or the other, for example by pushing steam in it under high pressure in one direction, or by sucking air into it the other direction; the invention provides, in such a case, to provide such a different pressure drop channel depending on whether it is used in a one way or the other.

Description

The present invention relates to an assembly intended for hair working, said assembly comprising a generator, a tool holder, provided with a grip handle, and a tool, the generator and the tool holder being arranged to provide at least one tool steam supply.

Un tel ensemble, destiné à un professionnel de la coiffure ou à un usager, permet une mise en place des cheveux ou un traitement particulier de ceux-ci.Such a set, intended for a professional of the hairstyle or to a user, allows hair to be put in place or special treatment of these.

We know that by submitting a lock of hair to the action of superheated water vapor at a temperature between 100 and 150 ° C for a few seconds, we improve considerably the work of the hair, as for example the setting operation: in this case in particular, the holding of the styling is improved, the treated hair is softer, more brilliant; such a method is described in FR-A-2 273 492; this document also states that water vapor can be combined with other fluids such as reducing gases, oxidizers for, for example, achieve permanent hair deformation. What whatever the treatment, it has been found that treating hair has the great advantage of treating the hair in the mass of the hair and not on its surface and makes it possible to obtain higher intensity results, faster, leaving the surface of the hair in better condition.

So far, steam hair work is done using devices, as described in FR-A-2 273 492, already cited, which include a tool holder, provided with a grip handle, in which the steam generator is integrated, and capable of being introduced into a curler already positioned on the hair; in certain other devices, such as that described in US-A-4 121 602, the tool, such as a comb, is also integrated into the tool holder, this device being designed, however, for the application of hot treatment with fatty liquids.

The above devices of the prior art have disadvantages: they are necessarily heavy and bulky, therefore not very easy to implement, and often noisy, therefore detrimental to comfort of the person whose hair is worked.

We have already proposed in particular in CH-A-167 656, place the generator and the tool holder at a distance from each other and connect them by a flexible bundle comprising at least one conduit for supplying steam to the tool holder.

Thanks to this provision, according to which in addition the generator can be housed in a sled shaped housing can be placed on the floor, the drawbacks mentioned above are deleted; however, a set according to this document, besides that it is complicated, does not allow a good distribution of vapor in whatever the tool, the steam coming directly from the tool holder in the tool in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the toolbox.

The object of the present invention is to overcome these disadvantages.

According to the present invention, an assembly intended for hair working, comprising a generator, a tool holder provided of a grip handle, and a tool mounted on the tool holder, the generator and the tool holder being arranged to supply the tool to the minus a steam supply, generator and tool holder being at a distance from each other and connected by a flexible beam comprising at least one duct for supplying steam to the tool holder, characterized in that the tool holder supports a channel steam outlet whose wall is crossed by orifices steam distribution, the steam outlet channel being arranged into the tool in a guide sleeve.

The tool can be permanently mounted on the tool holder or removable. Such an assembly also has the advantage avoid waiting after a warm-up of the assembly because, in the assembly according to the invention, the generator can stay operational and this saves time for the user ; when several different tools are associated with the tool holder, the generator being unique, not only a certain economy is obtained but also such an arrangement leads to more flexible use of the assembly and greater security the fact that since the tools have to be cleaned after each operation, can be done safely, the disassembled tool then being electrically isolated.

It will be understood that the steam supplied by the generator can be any kind of steam necessary for working the hair, like steam, alcohol, or whatever; of course, when transfer from the generator to the hair, steam can evolve enormously; also here we mean by vapor the state in which the fluid reaches the hair; it is generally a gas mixture at a pressure close to atmospheric pressure, of the order of 1 to 1.5 atmospheres, and at a temperature above 75 ° C, without upper limit, but preferably between 85 ° C and 120 ° C; this gas mixture contains a minimum of vapor of water, this minimum being 37% by volume, based on the volume total gas mixture; besides this water vapor and the fluid necessary for working hair, this gas mixture may contain other gases such as air, oxygen, nitrogen, a rare gas, alcohol ethyl, hydrogen peroxide, or the like; it should also be noted that, from due to the phenomenon of condensation, this gas mixture can also contain, when it reaches the hair, a certain proportion of liquid like water or solvent.

The volume of the casing which carries the generator is not necessarily limited, other means may be provided to convey other fluids through the tool such as aerosols or others like air, these fluids possibly being there heated; air can be blown or drawn through the tool, blowing or suction means which can be associated with the tool holder or placed in the housing, which can also receive electrical, electromechanical, electronic means, intended for the management and operation of the whole.

Advantageously, the tool holder supports a channel for convey air through the tool; the channel to convey air to through the tool is connected to the suction of a suction turbine mounted in the tool holder; the tool holder carries an element caloriferous; the tool holder supports one channel to convey another fluid through the tool; the tool holder has a resistance electric heating.

Preferably, the tool is provided with a diffuser.

Advantageously, the diffuser is arranged in such a way that the steam is distributed homogeneously, whatever the covering of the diffuser by all of the hair being treatment.

According to one embodiment, the tool is shaped general pliers and includes a lever consisting of a plate covering the working surface of the tool, said plate comprising steam passages.

Advantageously, the tool is a double-function tool and has two working faces; alternatively, the tool is a tool double-function and has only one working face. The face working tool can be a set surface, like flat, cylindrical, conical or other, or brush-shaped or comb.

According to another variant, the tool comprises a mass thermally conductive; the tool holder has an element heater for heating the thermally conductive mass of the tool.

According to another embodiment, the tool is a tool double-function and in the form of a clamp with two jaws each of which has a working face.

The tool can be secured to the tool holder and fixed by report to the tool holder; or the tool can be secured to the tool holder and mounted to rotate relative to the tool holder.

Alternatively, according to an advantageous arrangement, the tool is removably mounted on the tool holder.

To better understand the object of the invention, we will now describe, purely by way of nonlimiting illustration, exemplary embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.

The diagram shown in Figure 2 shows a processing assembly in which various removable tools 20, only three being shown in the drawing, may be indifferently mounted on the tool holder 30. In this case, mounting means 33 of a removable tool 20 are provided, as shows the partial section of Figure 3; according to this figure 3, the mounting means 33 are for example constituted by a pin 31 disposed radially in the tool holder 30; the tool holder 30 carries to its end 34 a cavity 35 into which the end of tool 20; at the right of this cavity 35, the pin 31, subjected to the action elastic of a spring 32, extends inside the cavity 35; the tool 20 has at its periphery a housing 22 intended to receive the pin 31, the end of the tool 20 being frustoconical at 21 to facilitate erasing the pin 31 during the introduction of the tool 20 into the cavity 35 to the position in which the pin 31 cooperates with the housing 22; in this embodiment, the tool 20 while being removable is fixed relative to the tool holder 30 when mounted in the cavity 35.

As will be described in more detail below, the tool removable 20 can be mounted on the tool holder 30 while being able rotate relative to it; to do this, the housing 22 is replaced by a groove 23 formed at the end of the tool 20 provided cylindrical with circular section, as can be seen on the Figure 4. The bottom of the groove 23 with which the pin 31 of the tool holder 30 can be uniform as shown in Figure 4A; although the back of the throat is uniform, some tightening may be provided so as to maintain the tool by friction; he is also possible not to provide a groove and to fit simply the end of the tool in the tool holder with play sufficiently weak to ensure its maintenance by friction; this friction can be obtained otherwise: thus, for example, in the case where the tool has a groove 23, as a variant, the bottom of the groove 23 can be provided with ridges to brake the rotation of the tool: these streaks can be axial and symmetrical, like the 23A streaks in the Figure 4B, or axial and asymmetrical like the 23B streaks of the Figure 4C; when the ridges are symmetrical, the braking in rotation of the tool is independent of its direction of rotation; when the streaks are asymmetrical, they are made so that braking is more important in the direction of the unwinding of the hair around tool 20 that brakes in the direction of winding the hair, this to facilitate the operator's work. Advantageously, in view of the implementation of the tool 20 for its rotation, the tool 20 has an end 24, opposite to that which carries the groove 23, arranged as a cylindrical portion with an external surface ridged making it easy to grasp; indeed, the tool 20 represented on Figure 4 is a hair shaping roller allowing to curl them, by styling them, or to curl them, performing permanent styling; the hollow tool has a cylindrical wall pierced with holes 25 for the passage of steam thrust through the tool under the conditions described below; to facilitate the operation, the hair is held by a clamp comprising a lever 26 articulated around an axis 28 of which a part provided with holes 27 follows the shape of the perforated cylindrical wall towards which it is urged by a pin spring 29.

As shown schematically in the figure 32, a generator 10 may consist of a casing 100 divided into two main compartments separated by a partition 101; a compartment receives at least one reservoir 102 for the liquid to spray which can be introduced through a mouthpiece 103 accessible from outside the housing 100 and closed by a plug 104; this same compartment also receives means of electric heating or steam generator 105 to transform in vapor the liquid contained in the reservoir 102; the other housing compartment 100 includes electrical means 106, electromechanical 107, electronic 108; electrical means 106 are for example a voltage transformer for a low voltage power supply, such as 12 volts, of all ; the electromechanical means 107 are, for example, solenoid valves; the electronic means 108 are, for example, a microprocessor for managing the operating operations of the whole, including in particular the management of sequences of operation taking into account the type of associated tool, as described below: different sequence programs can be selected using pushers 109 arranged on the wall top of frame 100 which also carries an on-off switch 110 and indicator lights 111 indicating for example the pressure and temperature prevailing in the tank 102.

The tool holder 30 is connected to the generator 10 by a beam 13; the bundle 13 consists of a flexible sheath 50, a thermal insulation material, through which at least pass a duct 51 for the passage of steam from the generator 10 towards the tool holder 30, and electrical conductors shown diagrammatically in 52; the tool holder 30 supports a steam outlet channel 54, consisting of a tube, one end of which is connected to the flexible conduit 51, the other end of which is closed and the wall of which is the outside of the tool holder 30 is traversed by orifices 58 for steam distribution in radial directions, relative at the "steam" channel 54, towards the tool 2.20 carried by the tool holder 30.

The tool holder 30 carries, according to the example shown on the Figure 32, at its end opposite to that intended to receive the tool 2.20, a motor-fan device 37 comprising in particular a electric motor 38 for driving a fan 39 contained in a ferrule 40 having two openings 41, 42; depending of the direction of rotation of the motor 38, the air enters through one of the openings 41, or 42, and is driven by the fan motor 37 through the other opening 42, or 41; preferably, the fan of the motor-fan 37 is designed in the form of a suction turbine; the tool holder 30 supports a channel 55 for the air forced by the motor-fan 37; the "air" channel 55 is in communication with the opening 41 by a pipe 53 and extends parallel to the "steam" channel 54; he is shorter than the "vapor" channel 54 and can come out slightly from the tool holder 30, as mounted in Figure 32, or not protrude from the tool holder 30, as shown in the partial section of Figure 5 on which the means for connecting the tool 2.20 with the tool holder 30 were not voluntarily represented, the tool 2.20 being able to be fixedly mounted (2) on the tool holder 30, or so movable, rotating, or detachably (20), as explained above. As shown in Figure 32, in the section upper part of its central part 36 shaped as a handle gripping, the tool holder 30 carries a switch 43 connected electrically like the fan motor group 37 at "electrical" compartment of generator 10 by conductors electric schematically in 52; switch 43 is several positions and not only allows the start of the sequence of the program chosen by the pushers 109 but also the setting work of the fan motor 37 in one direction or the other for the blowing or suction of air through the "air" channel 55 depending of the selected tool and task.

The tool holder 30 can also carry an element which keeps the tool at the temperature suitable for the operation it allows to perform. The element caloriferous can simply consist of a metallic mass thermal temperature rise by the passage of steam in the "steam" channel 54 to which it is close; he can also be himself a thermal generator if it includes, for example, a electrical resistance.

The tool holder 30 can also carry another conduit for a specific gaseous fluid or aerosol from the generator 10.

Also the tool holder 30 can have various configurations; these are shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 6 and 7A to 7C, which are cross sections of the tool holder 30. We recognizes, in FIG. 6, the configuration corresponding to the variant of FIG. 5 which includes a "steam" channel 54 and a channel "air" 55; according to FIG. 7A, the tool holder 30 only includes the "steam" channel 54; according to FIG. 7B, it comprises a channel "vapor" 54, an "air" channel 55 and a "fluid" channel 56; according to FIG. 7C, it additionally comprises, with respect to the configuration corresponding to FIG. 7B, a heating element 57; according to configuration of FIG. 7D, it has only one "steam" channel 54, and a "fluid" channel 56.

When the heating element 57 (FIG. 7C) is itself a thermal generator, it is advantageous to realize it as "steam" channel, this avoids the phenomenon of condensation thus overheating the steam: such an arrangement is shown in Figure 8; in this figure, the tool holder 30 has a "steam" channel 54 reduced to a short duct connection of the pipe 51 and surrounded by a sleeve 154 of which a longitudinal portion includes an electrical resistance 150 integrated into the wall and supplied by electrical conductors 151, 152; the end of the sleeve 154 which extends beyond the tool holder 30 is closed and its thinned wall is provided with orifices 156 for the radial distribution of steam.

Different tools can be provided for setting up hair shape or treatment. For hair treatment, the tool 20 can be of the kind shown in FIG. 9; he is consisting of a hollow body 60 of generally flat and elongated shape, for example of elliptical section decreasing towards its end closed opposite to that by which it is mounted on the tool holder 30, and whose transverse wall 71 carries a toc 63 cooperating with a orifice 43 formed on the transverse edge of the tool holder 30; since the edge of an opening in the wall 71 of the tool 20, extends a guide sleeve 61 which is threaded around the channel "vapor" 54 of the tool holder 30 when the tool 20 is mounted on the tool holder 30; the toc 63 allows the correct positioning of the tool 20 and prevents it from turning. The body 60 of the tool 20 is made up a thin, light material with a coefficient of extremely weak thermal conduction to avoid the phenomenon condensation during operation; the working face 72 of the tool 20 is provided with fine perforations 62, in the form of holes or slots, such a working face 72 allowing good diffusion of steam. The hair is treated with the tool which has just been described by applying the working face 72 against a lock of hair arranged in a tablecloth, near their root; then, by action on the switch 43 of the tool holder 30, steam is injected into the tool 20 through the "steam" channel 54 and its radial passages 58, then diffused through the perforations 62, while the tool 20 is slowly moved along said wick to the tip of hair which has or has not been previously impregnated with a product appropriate.

The diffusion of the vapor can be carried out otherwise only by perforations 62 provided on the face of the work 72 of tool 20; we can, for example, as shown on the FIG. 10, providing the tool 20 with a diffuser 64 made of a fabric, felt, open cell foam, frit or other similar matter; the fabric can be a cotton, a velvet fabric, brushed or carded fabric stretched over a frame mounted sliding in grooves provided along a wide opening formed on the surface of the tool 20, such an arrangement allowing the replacement of the diffuser; of course this one can be also provided fixed relative to the tool 20.

It can be useful in order to facilitate treatment, to make it more efficient, to hold the hair with a tool 20 of the clamp type during treatment, therefore when moving the tool along the hair, from its root to its tip; such a tool is shown in Figures 11 and 12; in these figures, we sees that the tool 20 carries, near its end by which it is mounted on the tool holder 30, laterally two semi-axes 66 around which is articulated a lever 65 consisting of a plate 67 covering the surface of the work 72, of the tool 20, which it marries shape, and a handle 69 to move the plate 67 away from the surface 72 for the introduction of the lock of hair between the plate 67 and the surface 72 which are biased towards each other by a spring in pin 70: in FIG. 11, the plate 67 and the surface 72 have been shown distant from each other, although the hair they pinch are not shown, in order to facilitate reading drawing ; the plate 67 has passages 68 so that the vapor which has passed through the lock of hair may escape.

The processing tools which have just been described have only one working face 72; the face opposite to said face 72 and the tool 20 can also be arranged so as to that this opposite face also constitutes a working face; he it is advantageous in this case to provide the tool with two treatment ; the body 60 of the double-function tool 20 shown on Figures 13 to 15 is divided into two cells 73, 74 by a partition 75 parallel to the working face 72 and located approximately halfway up the body 60; the sleeve 61, intended to be engaged around the channel "vapor" 54 of the tool holder 30, is placed in cell 74, called "steam" cell, the working face 72 being equipped with a diffuser 64 steam; cell 73 communicates with the outside, on the one hand, by wide orifices 78 which pass through the working face 77, opposite the working face 72, and, on the other hand, by a sleeve 76 opening at the end face for mounting on the tool holder 30 and intended to cooperate with the "fluid" channel 56 of the tool holder 30; it will have been noted that the cooperation of the sleeves 61 and 76 of the tool 20 with the channels 54 and 56 of the tool holder 30, which are of diameters different, allows positioning of the tool; for example, the fluid passing through the sleeve 76, when the tool 20 is mounted on the tool holder 30, is hot air supplied by the generator 10. Such a double-function tool is used as follows: initially, the double-function tool 20 is applied against the lock of hair in tablecloth, on the underside thereof, by its working face 72, and moved from the root to the tip of the hair while steam is sent to cell 74; this operation can be carried out one or several times ; secondly, the steam supply being cut, the tool 20 is applied against the lock of hair, on the top of it, by its working face 77, and moved from the root towards the tip of the hair while hot air is blown into the cell 73: this operation allows the hair to dry and a some formatting.

According to a variant not shown, the double-function tool 20, as just described, can be in the form of a clamp, the manner of the tool described with reference to FIGS. 11 and 12.

The dual-function tool which has just been described achieves two non-simultaneous functions and has two working faces, each adapted to a function; it may be necessary to perform two functions simultaneously, making by example act simultaneously two gaseous fluids; in this case, the tool double-function has only one working face but adapted in result.

A double-function tool of this kind according to the example which has just been described, has the following advantage: while the steam treats the lock of hair after being distributed according to the arrows 91 in Figure 18, the excess is taken up by suction according to the arrows 92 of this same figure 18; this gives some security to the treatment by avoiding burns of the scalp by excess of vapor, and can possibly absorb odors which could be released during the treatment of the lock of hair.

Alternatively, the dual-function tool may include a body 60 divided into two cells 93.94 separated by a partition 97 which, as shown in Figure 20, is arranged to ninety degrees relative to the partition 79 of the double-function tool of Figures 16 to 19; the sleeve 61 "steam" opens into the cell 93 and the sleeve 76 "air" in the cell 94; according to this variant, the distribution grid 86 includes rows of holes 95, 96 not alternating, the holes 95 being intended for the distribution of the vapor and the holes 96 at the air intake; such a tool is moved along the lock of hair, from root to tip, so that the hair is first subjected to steam and then treated with aspirated air, which allows in particular their cooling.

The distribution grid 86 described above, coming from cap the longitudinal ducts 84, 85, or the cells 93, 94, at the way of a cover for the body 60, can be fitted with teeth like a comb or a brush. Teeth can be solid and arranged between holes 87, 88 or 95, 96; some teeth can carry dispensing holes near their end in communication with passages which they present and which communicate themselves with the longitudinal conduits 84, 85 or with cells 93, 94; all distribution holes can be worn by teeth. According to Figure 23, teeth 100 are crossed by "steam" passages 102 opening laterally according to "steam" holes 104; teeth 101 are crossed by "suction" passages 103 opening laterally through holes "aspiration" 105; the holes 105 open radially, as the shows Figure 24A, the passage 103 ending in a section 107 bent at ninety degrees; the steam holes 104 could open in the same way, radially; we prefer that the "steam" passages 102 terminate in a visible section 106 in FIG. 24B, inclined so that it directs the jet of steam in away from the scalp with which the end of the tooth 100 could cooperate in reconciliation, for security reasons; this security is also obtained by providing teeth of different lengths, as shown in figure 23: on this figure, the teeth 101 "suction" are longer than the teeth "vapor" 100, the teeth 101 alone being brought to cooperate with the scalp.

According to the variant of FIG. 25, the tool carries teeth "vapor" 110 and protective teeth 111, solid, without orifice, longer than teeth 110 and adapted to cooperate with leather haired 112; the suction ports 113 open out between the teeth near their roots. When the teeth are all the same length, the safety mentioned above can be obtained from the as illustrated in FIG. 26: the "steam" orifices 104 and "suction" 105 open radially at equal distance from the tips of the teeth; this provision limits the elevation of temperature of the scalp and allows immediate suction of the residual steam; according to this figure 26, each tooth has two orifices, which are arranged radially in opposite directions and on the other side of each tooth. Of course, whatever the variant of tooth tool, these can have one or more orifices arranged in any manner, or aligned longitudinally; in in this case, a row of holes can be replaced by a slot longitudinal of small width.

To facilitate certain hair shaping, it it may be interesting to have a comb with teeth that are heated to combine their action with that of the vapor current; such a tool is shown in Figures 27 and 28; tool 20 is consisting of a metallic body 120, for example made of aluminum, defining a cell 121 in which the sleeve 61 extends intended to receive the "vapor" channel 54 of the tool holder 30; the cell 121 is in communication with the outside via orifices 122 provided in the vicinity of the end of teeth 123; the body 120 also has a very thermally conductive mass constituted for example by a copper bar 124 held in the body 120 by overmolding; the end 125 of the bar 124 protrudes outside the body 120 and is frustoconical; the tool holder 30 is provided with a heated heating element 126 electrically by an electrical resistor 127 and comprising a housing 128, also of frustoconical shape, intended to receive the end 125 of the bar 124; so when such a tool 20 is mounted on such a tool holder 30, and that the resistor 127 is supplied electrically, the bar 124 is heated and transmits its heat to the metallic body 120: the teeth 123 are heated by conduction; of course, as a safety measure for the user, the surface outside of the body 120 is thermally insulated by an envelope insulating 129 applied directly against the body 120 or remotely of it so that a film of insulating air is formed between the body 120 and casing 129.

When the tool is of the dual-function type, it can be advantageous that both functions are used simultaneously on either side of the lock of hair; such a tool is shown in Figure 29; in this figure, the tool 2 consists of two elements 200, 201 mounted rotating on the tool holder 3; each of said elements has a working face, element 200 comprising the working face 202, and the element 201 comprising the working face 203. The element 200 is mounted rotating around the "vapor" channel 61 of the tool holder 3, while the element 201 is mounted rotating around the "suction" channel 76 of the tool holder 3. Each of the elements 200, 201 has a section of general shape triangular and are arranged so that in the rest position towards which they are stressed by elastic means not shown, the working faces 202, 203 are in contact with one of the other, their longitudinal end edges, respectively 210 and 211, then also being in intimate contact with one another. For facilitate the implementation of such a tool, each of the elements 200, 201 carries an operating lever, respectively 204 and 205, extending parallel to the grip handle 36 of the tool holder 3; by exerting an effort to bring the two levers 204 together and 205, as illustrated by arrows 206 and 207, the faces of work 202 and 203 deviate from each other, as illustrated by arrows 208, 209, thus making it possible to introduce between them a lock of hair to be treated; by releasing the effort on the levers 204 and 205, the lock of hair is pinched between the working faces 202 and 203: it is then enough to move the tool along the drill bit hair from root to tip while steam is distributed through the working face 202 and the lock of hair, said vapor being taken up by the working face 203 connected to the channel "aspiration" 76: it should be noted that such a provision makes it possible to get closer to the scalp safely, steam being taken up immediately by the "suction" channel 76 after that she crossed the lock of hair.

The articulation axis of the two elements 200, 201 bearing the working faces 202, 203 of the tool 2 in FIG. On the body 300 is mounted a hollow jaw 305 articulated around an axis 306 parallel to the working face 302; the articulated jaw 305 carries a work face 307 also planar intended to cooperate in contact with the fixed working face 302; the working face 307 is fitted with holes 308 in communication with the "suction" sleeve 309; advantageously, the sleeve 309 consists of a tube elastic so as to also play the role of elastic means of reminder for the movable jaw 305 constantly stressed in this way the position it occupies when the two working faces 302, 307 are in contact with each other; a lever 310 allows the user spread jaws 301, 305 to place the lock of hair treat.

In general, the working faces of the tools described so far have a flat shape; it is possible to give to the faces of work any desirable form depending on the operation of treatment of the hair that one wishes to perform; for example, as shown in figure 31, the treatment area of the face of work may have undulations 313 arranged axially by relative to the tool, i.e. transversely to the drill bit hair to be treated; of course, the movable jaw carries also undulations, of a shape complementary to that of undulations 313 of the fixed jaw, undulations of a jaw fitting into the undulations of the other jaw.

A clamp such as the tool 20 of FIG.

The treatment area of the working faces of the tools has dimensions, and in particular a length, determined by construction so that it can treat a large sheet of hair; however, it is not always possible to cover said zone over its entire length, taking into account the various widths of the layers of hair to be treated; so that the distribution of the treatment fluids is as homogeneous as possible, that the treatment zone is entirely or partially covered with hair, the invention provides for adapting the pressure drop, through the distribution holes, to the fluid which crosses and in particular at its pressure; thus, and this is visible in the figures, the steam being distributed under high pressure, having regard to the other fluids distributed, such as blown or sucked air, the "steam" holes are smaller than the "suction"holes; good results have been obtained, with regard to the homogeneity of the distribution of the vapor, when the pressure drop across the "steam" working face was greater than 0.05. 10 -3 bar, for example equal to 0.1.10 -3 bar.

The diversity of tools combined with the various possibilities of the generator can lead to using the same channel for fluids different ; it is also possible to use the same channel in one way or the other, for example by pushing steam in it under high pressure in one direction, or by sucking air into it the other direction; the invention provides, in such a case, to provide such a different pressure drop channel depending on whether it is used in a one way or the other. An exemplary embodiment is shown on the Figure 33; the channel 400 shown in section in this figure shows a cylindrical wall 406 traversed by radial orifices 401 distributed circumferentially; two semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 lining the cylindrical wall 406 internally, covering the orifices 401; the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 are in relatively elastic material and are attached to the cylindrical wall in the middle, along a generator, as shown in 404, 405; the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 are crossed by holes 407 with a diameter smaller than that of the orifices 401. Consequently, when a pressurized fluid is brought inside the channel 400, this pressurized fluid presses the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 against the inner surface of the cylindrical wall 406 and comes out radially from channel 400 through holes 407, of low diameter, then the orifices 401 of larger diameter; if at on the contrary, the interior of the channel 400 is connected to a suction source, air is drawn inside the channel 400 from the outside to through orifices 401 of large diameter, and between the wall cylindrical 406 and the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 which have flexed around their attachment generatrix along which are arranged the fixing means 404, 405, as shown in lines mixed in figure 33, due to the depression prevailing inside of channel 400.

The assembly according to the invention may also include a device for filtering conveyed fluids to absorb odors, excess products used in working the hair, reaction byproducts, or to condense certain vapors thus avoiding their condensation in the place where the hair is worked, especially on window panes.

We have seen that air that can be transported through the tool in one direction or the other, i.e. blown into the tool or sucked through the tool, it is of course possible to choose a reversible turbine and the change of direction of rotation of the motor which drives it allows to obtain the direction "blown" or "sucked" for air. This air can be heated; the heating means of the air is either in the generator housing or in the tool holder.

The same distribution channel can also be borrowed in the same direction by two different fluids: by example, hot air and steam being rarely used simultaneously for the same tool, the assembly can be arranged in so that steam and air can pass through the same channel distribution when one of the hot air or steam fluids is used.

It is easy to understand that when products are necessary for certain hair treatments, these additional products can be added, in one of the fluids used, in solid, liquid or vapor state from the generator, the tool holder or tool.

We also saw, above, that hair work could be done in certain sequences that could be manually selected from pushers carried by the housing certain sequences being specific to certain processing tools particular it is possible, when these tools are mounted so removable on the tool holder, provide contact means on the tool holder and on the tool which, when the tool is in place, designate automatically to the microprocessor for managing the assembly according to the invention the sequence to be ensured for working with hair using this particular tool.
