Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a multifunctional work trestle with supports and a support beam according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Work trestles are used in a wide variety of craft businesses. They always serve to support panels that are either processed by yourself or serve as a work surface. For this purpose, two work trestles are placed at a distance from each other and the plate is placed on the two trestles.
  • the main advantages of these trestles are their mobility and manageability. They are space-saving, easy to transport and therefore especially appreciated for work that is carried out outside the company.
  • a generic support frame is known from DE-A-2'458'160, which enables a further area of application.
  • it is provided with clamping elements which are inserted into the holes in the support spar and rest on the spar. The workpiece to be machined is clamped between two such clamping elements.
  • This disclosed trestle serves as Device for clamping and holding workpieces to be machined.
  • Jigs generally have a table or plate as a support surface.
  • Such clamping devices are known from WO-A-91/04128 and BE-A-390'064.
  • Special clamping elements are disclosed in these publications.
  • WO-A-91/04128 describes a clamping element with a holding arm, a clamping arm attached to it and a screw spindle running parallel to the holding arm, the holding arm being bent in a hook shape at one end and hooked into bores in the worktop.
  • BE-A-390,064 discloses a collapsible countertop that has holes. Clamping elements can be fixed in these bores at various predefined heights.
  • a multifunctional work trestle with supports, a support spar and at least one tensioning element, which has a holding arm that ends on one side and a tensioning arm attached at the other end, the free end of the holding arm being slidably arranged in at least one holding arm bushing in the support spar, which is characterized in that is that a screw spindle or an eccentric is arranged and that the holding arm can be fixed in this at least one holding arm bushing when clamping a workpiece to be machined by tilting.
  • the work trestle according to the invention can thus not only be used together with another trestle as a support trestle, but it can also be used instead of a workbench for clamping workpieces to be machined. Work such as filing, planing, drilling or sawing can be carried out easily with the help of the multifunctional work trestle. With this trestle, a versatile tool has been created that is still small and can be easily transported. Areas of application are primarily for work outside the company and in hobby workshops.
  • a multifunctional trestle according to the invention is shown. It has two vertical supports 2, each of which has a foot 3 in the form of a crossbar at its lower end, which is perpendicular to the plane defined by the two supports 2.
  • the feet 3 can, depending on the embodiment, be removable or foldable in order to make transport as space-saving and simple as possible.
  • the otherwise customary legs set in the trenched position can also be used as supports, or the beams can be replaced by a plate.
  • the multifunctional work trestle comprises at least one clamping element 4.
  • clamping elements in the assembled state can be seen in FIG. 1. They are preferably like clamps.
  • a simple form of a screw-like clamping element 4 is shown in more detail in FIG. It consists of a holding arm 40, a clamping arm 41 and a screw spindle 42.
  • the holding arm can have any cross section, but is one End of the arm 40 free. At the other end, approximately perpendicular to the holding arm 40, the clamping arm 41 is attached.
  • the rotary spindle 42 is arranged approximately parallel to the holding arm 40 and has a pressure plate 42 'at the lower end on the holding arm side.
  • this clamping element 4 like all the other embodiments, does not have any further counter-pressure plate at the end of the holding rod, which was used for pressing against a work surface.
  • a workpiece is clamped on the work trestle according to the invention with the associated clamping element as follows: the free end of the holding rod 40 is inserted into a holding arm bushing 5 ′ in the support beam 1.
  • the holding rod 40 can slide in this holding arm bushing 5 '. If a workpiece to be machined is now clamped onto the support spar 1 by means of the screw spindle 42, the holding rod 40 is tilted in the holding arm bushing; the clamping element and the workpiece are fixed.
  • the support beam 1 consequently has at least one such holding arm bushing 5 'for receiving the holding arm 40 of the tensioning element 4.
  • this holding arm bushing 5 ' consists of a through opening in the support beam 1. It can be arranged vertically or horizontally, so that the workpiece to be machined can be clamped in any way on the support beams of the work trestle.
  • Support spars are preferably made of wood.
  • a reinforcing element 6 made of metal or made of a hard plastic.
  • This reinforcing element 6 consists of a square tube section with a welded, vertically projecting collar. Castings with cast-on collars are also possible.
  • the square tube section is located in the through opening of the holding arm bushing 5 ', the collar abutting the outside of the support spar 1 and being screwed thereon.
  • FIGS. 4 to 7 show different embodiments of this holding arm guide rail 5.
  • FIG. 4 shows a holding arm feed-through rail 5, which is made from a flat iron rod 50 on which several pairs of spacers 51 are arranged.
  • the holding arm guide rail 5 is thus on one side of the support beam 1 attached that the spacers 51 bear directly on the support beam 1 on the side facing away from the flat iron rod 50.
  • the distance between the spacers 51 of a pair corresponds to the width of the holding arm 40 of the clamping element 4 to be inserted.
  • the size of the spacers 51 can be chosen arbitrarily. For example, there may also be a distance between the individual pairs, as shown in FIG. 4.
  • the spacers 51 can also be strung together so that they have the required distance for the insertion of the holding arm 40 from each neighbor.
  • FIG. 5 shows a further embodiment of the holding arm feed-through rail 5. It is made from two flat iron bars 50, between which several pairs of spacers 51 are arranged. The distance and the arrangement of the spacers 51 is analogous to the example shown in FIG. 4.
  • FIG. 5 shows the variant in which the spacers 51 form a holding arm bushing with each of their neighbors.
  • a further holding arm feed-through 5 ′′ can be arranged, which have a different insertion direction than the other guides located in the rail.
  • These additional guides 5 ′′ are formed from a square tube section and are placed on the ends of the holding arm guide rail 5.
  • FIG. 6 shows a holding arm feed-through rail 5 which is made from a box profile 53 in which holding arm feed-throughs are arranged.
  • the box profile 53 has recesses at these points.
  • the holding arm bushings can be horizontal and vertical to the longitudinal direction of the rail. As in the previous example, there may be additional guides on the rail in the form of separately attached square tube sections.
  • FIG. 7 shows a holding arm feed-through rail 5 which is made from two parallel flat iron bars 50 with square tube sections 54 held in between. The clear widths of the square tube sections form the holding arm through openings 5 '.
  • the holding arm feed-through rails shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 are attached laterally to the support spar.
  • the support spar has a groove in which the holding arm feed-through rail is arranged.
  • the support spar 1 has through openings which are aligned with the holding arm bushings of the rail.
  • the through openings of the support spar are, however, somewhat larger than those of the holding arm bushings.
  • the holding arm 40 does not tilt in the softer region of the support spar.
  • a second one can be used The groove with the holding arm guide rail is located in the support beam 1 so that its guides are perpendicular to those of the first rail.
  • FIG. 1 A further embodiment of the multifunctional work trestle can be seen in FIG.
  • the carrier 2 like the support beam 1, also has one or more holding arm bushings 5 ′′.
  • the associated clamping elements are the same as those of the support beam.
  • FIG. 1 it can be seen in FIG. 1 that not only clamping elements 4 according to the invention can be used, but also other tilting elements, for example bench hooks 7.
  • FIG. 1 A simple embodiment of a screw-type clamping element has already been described.
  • the clamping arm 41 is adjustable in length.
  • it is displaceable in a tensioning arm guide 43 which is attached to the upper end of the holding arm 40.
  • the tensioning arm 41 has notches on two opposite longitudinal sides, which are perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tensioning arm.
  • a spring is arranged in or outside the tensioning arm guide 43, which together with the notches achieves an effect which inhibits the sliding movement of the tensioning arm 41, the tensioning arm 41 canting in the tensioning arm guide. It can thus be moved into predefined positions in which it remains.
  • the screw spindle required for tightening is replaced by an eccentric or a cylinder with compressed air or hydraulics.
