Definitions

  • the invention relates to an awning with a cloth roll rotatably held between two bearing cheeks for an awning cloth according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such an awning is known from DE-AS 1 955 577. It consists essentially of a support rod, at the ends of which a bearing cheek is arranged, between which the cloth roll is rotatably held.
  • the support rod is the essential element of the awning and is used on the one hand to fix the awning to a wall or the like. On the other hand it is used to hold the roll of fabric and the extension arms that support the extension rod.
  • a gear is also provided for rotating the cloth roll, which is inserted between a bearing cheek and the cloth roll.
  • a cover provided as weather protection is also fixed on the support rod by means of holders. The large number of elements engaging on the support rod necessitates a large number of corners, edges, angles or the like, where protection can become lodged, the removal of which is very complex and tedious.
  • the invention has for its object to develop an awning of the generic type in such a way that easy accessibility of the parts to be maintained remains guaranteed despite a proposed protection against contamination.
  • the support rod which is designed as a hollow profile, is pulled up behind the cloth roll and has an edge running in the longitudinal direction of the support rod, on which an attachment edge of the cover is fixed.
  • the cloth roll is thus protected against the direct influence of weather from above and, moreover, is protected in the rear area facing the fastening by the raised support profile against contamination from behind. Due to the raised support profile, the accessibility of the cloth roll itself is not hindered.
  • the edge of the hollow profile on the side facing away from the roll of fabric has an undercut, preferably extending over the length of the hollow profile, for engaging a cantilever arm of a wall bracket, thereby ensuring easy assembly and disassembly of the awning.
  • the cantilever carries the awning in an area that is completely sealed off from the roll of fabric, so that dirt that accumulates in this area cannot reach the awning fabric.
  • the lower shell has a mounting edge facing the support rod, which can be suspended in a mounting groove of the support profile.
  • the cover, the lower shell, the upper edge of the hollow profile and the bearing cheeks thus form a largely closed housing for the cloth roll. Both the lower shell and the cover can be removed in a few simple steps without tools, which means that the cloth roll remains freely accessible from all sides.
  • the longitudinal edge of the lower shell facing the cover is designed as a particularly rounded support edge for the awning fabric, sagging of the awning fabric is avoided in a simple manner even in the case of awnings with large widths.
  • the extension bar has a longitudinal groove open to the cover, into which the longitudinal edge of the cover facing away from the hollow profile protrudes when the awning is retracted, so that the rain flows off directly via the longitudinal groove in the extension bar can.
  • the leg of the longitudinal groove lying under the cover when the awning is retracted has a receiving groove for a piping in the longitudinal edge of the awning fabric, the receiving groove being open to the longitudinal groove.
  • the awning cloth thus protrudes at least partially into the longitudinal groove of the drop bar, which serves as a rain gutter, so that rain collected can be discharged laterally via the drop bar even when the awning sheet is extended.
  • the awning partially shown in FIG. 1 has a support rod 5 designed as a hollow profile, at the ends of which a bearing cheek 3 is held.
  • a support rod 5 designed as a hollow profile, at the ends of which a bearing cheek 3 is held.
  • a cloth roll 2 for an awning cloth is rotatably held between the bearing cheeks 3.
  • the front longitudinal edge 4 of the awning fabric 1 is fixed to a drop bar 8, which is held by two extension arms 6.
  • Each extension arm consists of two sections 6a and 6b, which are connected to one another by a joint 6c.
  • the free end of the arm portion 6b has a head 6d which is rotatably fixed to the drop bar 8.
  • the arm section 6a is held on the support rod 5 by a joint 7.
  • the cloth roll 2 is covered by a cover 9, which is supported on the support rod 5.
  • the support rod 5 consists of a hollow profile which is designed as a multi-function profile. It is essentially rectangular in cross section, the hollow profile 5 being pulled up behind the cloth roll 2.
  • the axis of rotation 2a of the cloth roll 2 lies approximately at the height of the narrower side surface 5a of the hollow profile 5.
  • an edge 10 running in the longitudinal direction of the hollow profile 5 and standing vertically on the side surface 5a free end is angled in a U-shape; the opening of the U-shaped edge 10 faces the side surface 5a, as a result of which an undercut 12 is formed which extends over the length of the hollow profile 5 and is designed to engage a cantilever arm 21 of a wall bracket 20.
  • the length of the cantilever arm 21 is dimensioned such that it overlaps the hollow profile 5 and engages approximately flush with the undercut 12 with its L-shaped angled end 21a.
  • the larger side surface 5b of the hollow profile 5 facing away from the cloth roll lies flat against a contact surface 20a of the wall holder 20, as a result of which the hollow profile 5 is fixed in its position.
  • the focus of the awning is preferably in front of the L-shaped end 21a of the cantilever 21 hooked into the edge 10, so that the acting gravitational forces hold the large side surface 5b of the hollow profile 5 on the contact surface of the wall bracket 20.
  • the hollow profile 5 has an undercut groove 17 in the side surface 5b, which is formed on the longitudinal edge of the large side surface 5b facing away from the fastening edge 10.
  • the height of the wall bracket 20 is such that the hollow profile 5 projects beyond the lower edge 20b of the wall bracket 20, so that the undercut groove 17 is exposed.
  • a security element is placed in the undercut 17a 22 hooked, which is fixed with a fastening screw 23 on the wall bracket 20, preferably on its lower longitudinal edge 20b.
  • the securing element 22 engaging in the undercut groove 17 prevents both lifting of the hollow profile from the contact surface 20a of the wall bracket 20 and lifting of the hanging edge 10 from the cantilever arm 21.
  • the securing element 22 thus fixes the hollow profile 5 in its position on the wall bracket 20.
  • the wall brackets can be arranged anywhere along the length of the hollow profile, so that the awning according to the invention can be attached to different attachment points without great effort.
  • an alignment in the longitudinal direction of the support profile is possible in order to then fix the suspended support profile 5 by means of securing elements 22 to be screwed onto the individual wall brackets 20.
  • the hanging edge 10 also serves to support a cover 9, which overlaps the cloth roll 2.
  • the cover 9 consists essentially of an L-shaped angled sheet, the longer leg 9a engaging over the cloth roll 2 and the shorter leg 9b being fixed to the hanging edge 10.
  • the free end of the shorter leg 9b is preferably designed as a U-shaped fastening edge 11 which engages over and is held on the hanging edge 10. In particular, the fastening edge 11 is placed in a clamping manner on the hanging edge 10.
  • the support profile 5 is rounded in its corner region 18 adjacent to the cloth roll 2, the rounded wall section 19 starting from the hanging edge 10 extending to a front side surface 5c, the height of which is less than the side surface 5b facing the wall holder 20.
  • the distance between the side surface 5c and the side surface 5b is greater than the distance between the hanging edge 10 and the side surface 5b facing the wall holder 20.
  • the rounded wall section 19 has on its side facing the cloth roll 2 preferably over the length of the support profile 5, facing each other L-shaped flanges 19a, 19b, which together form a supply device 13 for a fastening edge 14 of a lower shell 15.
  • the L-shaped flange 19a lies in the foot region of the hanging edge 10, while the other L-shaped flange 19b is arranged at the transition of the wall section 19 to the front side surface 5c.
  • the flanges 19a and 19b preferably extend over the entire length of the support profile 5 and are in particular formed in one piece with it.
  • the lower shell 15 extends approximately in the form of a half shell and encompasses the cloth roll over a circumferential angle of approximately 180 °.
  • the lower shell is designed with a radius corresponding to the cloth roll 2, with its free longitudinal edge 16 is overlapped by the cover 9.
  • the awning fabric 1 is guided through the narrow slot 25 between the longitudinal edge 16 and the leg 9a of the cover 9, the longitudinal edge 16 being designed as a preferably rounded support edge for the awning fabric 1. Sagging of the awning fabric is largely prevented even over a large width of the awning.
  • the drop bar 8 which is designed as a hollow profile, is rounded on its side 8a facing the cloth roll 2 with a radius approximately corresponding to the radius of the cloth roll 2.
  • the extension rod 8 has a longitudinal groove 30 which is open to cover 9 and into which when the awning is retracted - cf. Representation in Fig. 2 - the free end of the leg 9a of the cover 9 protrudes.
  • the longitudinal groove 30 forms a rain drainage channel, the rain water running off the cover 9 directly into the longitudinal groove 30.
  • the leg 31 of the groove 30 lying under the cover 9 when the awning is retracted is bent in the direction of the cloth roll 2, the free end 32 of the leg 31 striking against the support edge 16, which thus serves as a run-in stop for the extension rod 8.
  • the de leg 31 lying under the cover 9 of the longitudinal groove 30 when the awning is retracted has a receiving groove 33 for a welt 24 in the longitudinal edge 26 of the awning cloth 1.
  • the receiving groove 33 is open to the longitudinal groove 30, so that the awning fabric 1 partially protrudes between the two legs of the longitudinal groove 30.
  • an undercut fastening groove 34 is formed, into which the head 6d of the extension arm 6 engages and is fixed.
  • the cantilever arm 6 is anchored with the joint 7 directly in the hollow profile 5, wherein preferably an inclination adjustment for the cantilever arms 6 is arranged in the joint 7.
  • the drive of the inclination adjustment is arranged in particular in the hollow profile forming the support rod.
  • the drive for the rotation of the cloth roll is preferably arranged in the hollow profile 5, in particular at one of its ends 5a.
  • a chain wheel 29 is rotatably driven via a drive eye 28 which is rotatably held in the base 5d of the hollow profile 5 and whose axis of rotation lies parallel to the axis 2a of the fabric shaft.
  • an angular gear 50 is arranged between the drive eye 28 and the chain wheel 29.
  • the sprocket 29 lies in a receptacle of the bearing cheek 3 closing the hollow profile 3 (FIG. 3) and drives the cloth roll 2 via a chain 39, not shown in any more detail.
  • a stop gear 40 and a brake 41 are also arranged in the drive path between the drive eye 28 and the chain wheel 29. The entire gear arrangement lies within the hollow profile and is thus protected against the weather or the like.
  • the cover 9, the lower shell 15 suspended on the hollow profile 5, the hooking edge 10 of the hollow profile 5 and the end 5 'of the hollow profile 5 closing it Bearing cheeks 3 form a largely closed housing for the cloth roll 2, so that it is largely protected from external influences, in particular weather influences. Nevertheless, the cover 9 can be easily lifted off and the lower shell 15 can be easily removed, so that the cloth roll is exposed for any necessary maintenance work or the like.
  • the hollow profile 5 is formed in the region of the upper side surface 5a of the base 5d and the rear side surface 5b with a greater wall thickness than in the region of the rounded wall section 19 and the front side surface 5c.
  • the hollow profile 5 is made in one piece with the undercut edge 10, the securing groove 17 and the fastening device 13, in particular as a continuous casting, preferably from aluminum.
