A seal 26 ensures the sealing of the bottom 5. It will be noted that the bottom 5 could be made in one piece with the middle part, thus making the use of the seal 26 superfluous.

  • the locking finger 16 is disposed in turn between the two projections 9 and 10 of the middle part 1 and emerges from a notch 33 formed therein. This finger can enter one of the housings 17, 18 or 19 made in the bezel 4 (see also Figure 3). We will explain below in more detail how this finger prevents the rotation of the telescope.
  • FIGs 4 and 5 which are sections along the line IV, V-IV, V of Figure 1 show in detail an exemplary embodiment of the locking means 6 using the finger 16.
  • This finger has a head 20 with moon of its ends and a tongue 7 forming gripping and stopping means at its other end. It is capable of sliding inside a bore 21 made in the middle part 2 against the return force of a spring 22.

  • Figures 4 and 5 also show that the stroke of the finger 16 is arranged to completely disengage the head 20 from the housing 17 made in the bezel, when a manual push is exerted on the tongue 7 according to arrow A. From this moment, the bezel is entirely free to be driven in rotation on the middle.
  • the projection 12 (as well as the other protrusions 11 and 13) of the bezel 4 penetrates into the space 31 (and respectively into the spaces 30 and 32) of the middle part 1 and the finger 16 is automatically inserted into the bore 21, under the very action of the projection 12. It is therefore understood that the finger 16 is inserted and retracted into the hole 21 at the same time as the bezel 4 is placed axially on the middle part 1,2, so that only one and only operation is necessary, without additional action for example on the tongue 7. It will also be noted that this setting operation square simultaneously allows tensioning by compression of the spring 22.
