Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire detector according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Fire detectors of this type are generally known. They serve to protect human life and property in fire alarm systems for the early detection of fires. Such fire alarm systems generally consist of a signaling center and fire detectors distributed in the objects to be protected.
- the fire detectors contain fire-specific sensors, electronic amplifiers and devices for the transmission of information to the signaling center.
- the design of a fire detector usually consists of the actual fire detector (detector insert), which contains the sensors and electronics, and a detector base (socket), which is permanently installed in the room to be monitored and in which the detector insert is used. In this way it is possible to remove the detector inserts for revision and reinsert them.
- the last requirement is raised in particular because the detectors are often installed in places where the aesthetics of the design play a role. These include theaters, museums and historical buildings.
- German utility model DE-U1-92'10'858 proposed to design the detector insert so that it fully covers the socket when in use. This has the additional advantage that changes in the color of the frame due to aging do not adversely affect the appearance of the detector if, for example, the detector insert is replaced after some time.
- a disadvantage of such a construction is the fact that it is difficult for all detectors in which the detector insert completely covers the detector socket to see whether the insert is correctly seated in the holder. However, this is an essential prerequisite for all fire detectors that consist of a socket and insert. Incorrectly used detector inserts are a priori sources of error and malfunction and often give rise to complaints today.
- the aim of the present invention is to remedy the disadvantages of the fire detectors of the prior art and, in particular, to provide a fire detector of the type mentioned at the outset which has a closure device which is attached to the detector insert and which both mechanically locks the detector insert and clearly detects it correct end position of the detector insert, even from a distance of a few meters. This considerably simplifies control and reduces the effort involved to a minimum.

- the ring 3 is freely movable within a certain angular range relative to the lower part 4 of the detector insert 2.
- the detector insert 2 is locked by a locking device with the socket 1.
- On the outside of the ring 3 is a first marking element 5 and on the outside of the lower part 4 of the detector insert 2, a second marking element 6 is arranged such that in the open, unlocked state of the fire detector, the first marking element 5 is clearly shifted from the second marking element 6 by a certain angle is.
- the locking device consists of three guide cams 7 and a locking cam 8, which are arranged on the inside of the ring 3. Furthermore, the socket 1 has three guide links 9 belonging to the guide cams 7 and a holding cam 10 belonging to the locking cam 8.
- the detector insert 2 is first brought into a joining position with respect to the holder 1, which is shown in FIG.
- the three guide cams 7 are inserted into the guide link 9 associated with them.
- the locking device is actuated by rotating the ring 3 through a certain angle and moving the guide cams along the guide links.
- the locking is completed by bringing the locking cam 8 over the holding cam 10. In this position, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the first marking element 5 and the second marking element 6 lie in a straight line. Complete and correct locking is clearly visible from a distance of several meters using these marking elements.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fire detector according to the preamble of
Fire detectors of this type are generally known. They serve to protect human life and property in fire alarm systems for the early detection of fires. Such fire alarm systems generally consist of a signaling center and fire detectors distributed in the objects to be protected.
The fire detectors contain fire-specific sensors, electronic amplifiers and devices for the transmission of information to the signaling center. The design of a fire detector usually consists of the actual fire detector (detector insert), which contains the sensors and electronics, and a detector base (socket), which is permanently installed in the room to be monitored and in which the detector insert is used. In this way it is possible to remove the detector inserts for revision and reinsert them.
In view of the high demands placed on the reliability of fire alarm systems, it is imperative to eliminate weak points in such systems if possible. One such weak point is undoubtedly the connection between the detector insert and the socket, since it largely depends on the functionality of the entire fire alarm system. It is therefore understandable that the manufacturers of such systems strive to ensure the reliability of the detector insert / socket connection by means of good design solutions.
An die Verbindung Meldereinsatz/Fassung werden u.a. folgende Anforderungen gestellt:
- Zuverlässiger elektrischer Kontakt
- Schutz der Kontakte gegen Verschmutzung und Korrosion
- sichere mechanische Befestigung
- gutes äußeres Design (Aussehen)
- Reliable electrical contact
- Protection of contacts against dirt and corrosion
- secure mechanical fastening
- good external design (appearance)
The last requirement is raised in particular because the detectors are often installed in places where the aesthetics of the design play a role. These include theaters, museums and historical buildings.
To combine an elegant design with good protection against dirt on the contacts, i.a. in German utility model DE-U1-92'10'858 proposed to design the detector insert so that it fully covers the socket when in use. This has the additional advantage that changes in the color of the frame due to aging do not adversely affect the appearance of the detector if, for example, the detector insert is replaced after some time.
A disadvantage of such a construction is the fact that it is difficult for all detectors in which the detector insert completely covers the detector socket to see whether the insert is correctly seated in the holder. However, this is an essential prerequisite for all fire detectors that consist of a socket and insert. Incorrectly used detector inserts are a priori sources of error and malfunction and often give rise to complaints today.
This problem has clearly not been addressed enough in the past. A check of the correct position of the detector insert after it has been inserted by trained specialist personnel was only later recognized as unavoidable. The associated increased effort must be accepted in the interest of the functionality of the overall system, even if this increases the installation costs.
The aim of the present invention is to remedy the disadvantages of the fire detectors of the prior art and, in particular, to provide a fire detector of the type mentioned at the outset which has a closure device which is attached to the detector insert and which both mechanically locks the detector insert and clearly detects it correct end position of the detector insert, even from a distance of a few meters. This considerably simplifies control and reduces the effort involved to a minimum.
This object is achieved in a fire detector of the type mentioned by the characterizing features of

Figure 1 shows a fire detector with a
The locking device consists of three
