Description
The present invention relates to a wall or ceiling of a room fastening room sensor and an associated mounting adapter, using the the sensor can be mounted in a certain way.
When controlling lighting systems or other devices Home automation systems are often used as room sensors, by means of which a certain event can be determined to be an automatic operation of Allow lamps or other devices. For example, presence or Presence sensors to automatically switch on the light in a room, when a person enters this room. Brightness sensors in turn are e.g. used to adjust the brightness of lamps to the ambient brightness to adapt that there is a constant overall brightness in a work area.
The housing of a room sensor is usually designed such that the sensor is on a certain way can be attached to the wall or ceiling of a room. For example, mushroom-shaped sensors are known which have a cylindrical shape Base housing and a dome-shaped head part arranged in front of the base housing exhibit. The base housing is dimensioned such that it is in a usual Installation box - for example in a Euro box - can be mounted.
However, such installation boxes are not always available in the places where a sensor should actually be placed. In this case there is one another type of installation necessary, for example, where the sensor is outside the wall or ceiling is arranged. However, this would require a redesign of the Sensor housing necessary, which is associated with non-negligible costs is.
The present invention is therefore based on the task of simple and cost-effective way to open up a sensor in different Attach mounting methods to the wall or ceiling of a room.
This task is performed by a room sensor according to the characteristics of the independent claims solved.
According to a first aspect of the invention, there is a surface mounting adapter for the sensor provided which is the distance between the edge region of the Fills the head part of the sensor and the wall or ceiling of a room. According to A second aspect of the present invention is a flush mounting adapter provided which for insertion into an opening in a wall or ceiling of a Space is determined, the flush-mounting adapter the distance between the opening edge of the wall or ceiling opening and the head part of the Fills the room sensor.
According to the invention, it is therefore no longer necessary for the different Installation ways to provide separate housings for the sensor. Instead is made up of a constant sensor housing and a mounting adapter formed a combination, which is now the attachment in a different way and Way.
Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
For example, the surface mounting adapter can be designed in a ring and assembled state, the base housing of the sensor is positively surrounded. The flush mounting adapter is preferably designed such that it Distance between the opening edge of the wall or ceiling opening and one active area of the head part - which is in the case of a presence sensor for example, a lens arrangement - fills.

The mushroom-like room sensor 1 shown in FIG. 1 consists of a
The room sensor 1 shown here is a movement or
Presence sensor. Accordingly, a - not within the
To the installation options for the room sensor 1 shown in Fig. 1

In the assembled state, the frustoconical outside 7 of the
Figures 4a and 4b show a flush mounting adapter according to the
To fix the sensor 1 in this
The various mounting options are now to be explained using FIGS. 6a-8b for the room sensor or those formed by the sensor and the mounting adapter Combinations are explained.
Installationsdose 19 durch die Decke 18.FIGS. 6a and 6b initially show that alone - that is to say without a mounting adapter -

Unterseite. Diese Montageweise ist beispielsweise dann notwendig,
wenn in der Decke 18 keine Installationsdose vorhanden ist.FIGS. 7a and 7b show the possibility of using a sensor 1

The sensor 1 is for this purpose in the manner described above with the
The height of the

Figures 8a and b finally show the flush or ceiling installation

A fastening of the sensor 1 and the
The examples shown illustrate that with the help of the two Mounting adapter according to the invention the mounting options in a simple manner can be enlarged for a single sensor. This is not a complex one and costly redesign of the sensor housing is necessary, rather it is sufficient to use an adapter that is simple and inexpensive to manufacture.
