Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for portion-wise packaging of lumpy goods, in particular shock-sensitive fruits and vegetables, food and beverages, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a device is described in DE-A 31 02 552.
  • This known device has a conveyor tube fastened to a machine frame, each with an inlet and an outlet at its end regions, a cyclical working and receiving chambers for the portioned filling material conveying device being provided in the conveyor tube.
  • the conveyor comprises an endless conveyor belt with flaps spaced apart from one another which form the receiving chambers and which stand up on the upper conveyor run of the conveyor belt while being folded away on their return along the lower run.
  • On the outside of the conveyor tube there are two side conveyors for moving forward in cycles a supply of net hose provided on the conveyor tube is provided as packaging material for the portioned filling material.
  • the side conveyors move the net hose supply forward by one package length.
  • a closing and separating device is provided in the outlet end region of the conveying tube for closing and separating a net hose section filled with the portion of the filling material.
  • a filled mesh tube section is closed by means of two slightly spaced clips and the filled mesh tube section is separated by a cut between these two attached clips. The lower end for the next section of net hose to be filled is closed at the same time by the upper clamp.
  • the object of the invention is to improve a device of the type mentioned in the introduction in such a way that a considerably increased packaging performance is achieved while at the same time gentle treatment of the portioned packaged goods or filling goods is achieved.
  • the machine according to the invention achieves a significantly increased packaging performance, the filling material being treated very gently at the same time.
  • a machine or device is particularly suitable for shock-sensitive goods, in particular for fruits and vegetables, tropical fruits, other shock-sensitive foods such as potatoes and also for luxury foods.
  • the device can of course also be used for packaged goods to be packaged where the impact sensitivity of the packaged goods is not so important.
  • An important reason for the increased filling and packaging performance (high number of packs) of the device is that it can be operated at a considerably increased speed, the drop heights for the filling material being very high both on the inlet side and on the outlet side of the conveyor tube which is currently working are kept low.
  • the speed of the device according to the invention is further to be attributed to the fact that the processes on the inlet and outlet sides of the two conveying pipes for the supply and discharge of the filler portions can be better matched to the processes of the devices which take place during the conveyance of the filler portions and the processes in the region of the outlet side of the working conveyor pipe take place.
  • a preferred embodiment of the rotary flap arrangements provided on the inlet and outlet sides of the currently operating conveyor pipe is that they comprise two V-shaped rotary flaps that form a receiving compartment for the portioned filling material and can be rotatably driven to form a lower short-term discharge opening for the filling material.
  • the two rotary flaps can be arranged within a housing that is open at the top and bottom.
  • the inlet-side flap arrangement can already be filled again if it has released its filling charge into the filling chamber of the conveying device in the working conveying pipe, but this chamber has not yet been released by one working cycle has been advanced.
  • the two rotary flaps are preferably driven unidirectionally and are designed so that their axis of rotation runs through their longitudinal center.
  • the two rotary flaps only need to rotate by 180 ° in order to form and close the said discharge opening.
  • Another reason for the increased packaging performance of the device according to the invention is that it has a device for attaching a price label to the clip which closes the filled net tube section at the top.
  • the application of a price label is also automated and there is no need to subsequently apply this label by hand.
  • the device for attaching a label in a further embodiment of the device according to the invention is associated with a price calculator device which interacts with a weighing device of the device and a printer for printing out the price calculated for a predetermined portion of filling product on the label intended for this purpose. This ensures that only the price applicable to the respective portion of filling is actually printed on the label.
  • the device generally designated 1 in FIGS. 1 and 2 for portion-wise packaging of lumpy goods, in particular of shock-sensitive fruits and vegetables, of food and beverages or the like, consists of one or more, preferably two, on a machine frame (not shown) ) arranged, horizontal conveyor pipes 2 and 3, from a rotary flap arrangement 4 provided in the inlet region of the conveyor pipe 2 currently in the working position (FIG.
  • the delivery pipe 2 is shown in the working position, while the delivery pipe 3 is in a rest position next to the delivery pipe 2. It is known that the feed pipe 3 is provided in this position with a supply of hose 7 while the feed pipe 2 is working. When the supply of supply hose on the conveyor tube 2 is exhausted, the conveyor tube 3 is moved horizontally into the working position. The conveyor tube 2 is then provided with a new supply of network hose. In the present case, a supply of net hose is also carried out with the aid of the side conveyors 6.
  • the interior of the delivery pipes 2 and 3 is provided in a known manner with a main delivery device which is driven by a motor 12.
  • This conveyor can consist of an endless conveyor belt, which is provided at intervals with movable flaps 13, between which chambers 14 are formed, in which the filling portions 8 are located.
  • the conveyor device 11 extends essentially over the entire length of each conveyor tube.
  • the mobility of the flaps 13 is that they are erectable, as shown in Fig. 1, to form the chambers 14.
  • the flaps 13 are thus on the upper run of the conveyor belt 11a upright. They are folded down on the returning lower run of the conveyor belt to save space.
  • the flaps 13 of the conveyor 11 can be kept upright in a simple manner.
  • they are provided at both lower ends with sliding shoes 15, each of which has a guide 16 z. B. in the form of a guide rail in the region of the upper run of the conveyor belt 11a of the conveyor 11.
  • the sliding shoes have a lower, longer standing surface 17, with which they advance in cycles on the associated guide rail 16.
  • a conveyor screw 50 can also be provided in each conveyor tube 2, 3, in which the chambers 14 for the portion-wise filling material 8 are formed by a larger screw pitch, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 9.
  • a weighing device 18 On the input side of the conveying tubes 2, 3 there is, in addition to the usual storage container (not shown) for the filling material, a weighing device 18 with a plurality of weighing containers 19 in order to weigh the individual filling material portions. From the weighing containers 19, the weighed filler portions arrive on feeders 20, which feed the filler portions one after the other into the inlet-side flap arrangement 4. The respective product portions are fed from the rotary valve arrangement 4 into an empty chamber 14 of the conveying device below the rotary valve arrangement, after which the conveying device is advanced by one cycle, that is to say by one chamber 14.
  • the outlet-side flap arrangement 5 is initially closed, as shown in FIG. 1, so that the filling portion 8 initially collects therein. Then the rotary flap arrangement 5 opens, so that the filling portion then falls into the lower end region of the net hose section 21, which of course is closed at the bottom in the usual way with a clip (FIG. 1).
  • the first embodiment of a rotary flap arrangement 4 or 5 shown in FIG. 3 consists of two V-shaped rotary flaps 23 and 24, which form a receiving compartment for the portioned filling material that the axes of rotation 26 of the rotary flaps extend through the longitudinal center of the rotary flaps. Because of this construction, the rotary flaps need only be rotated through 180 ° in one direction in order to form a new storage compartment 22. With this rotation through 180 °, a dispensing opening for the filling portion is created briefly in the lower region of the rotary flaps.
  • the unidirectional rotary movement of the rotary flaps 23, 24 is brought about by a motor 27. This motor is attached to a housing 28 for the rotary flaps, this housing being open at the top and bottom.
  • At least the rotary flap arrangement 4 located on the inlet side of the delivery pipe 2, 3 currently in the working position is provided with a housing.
  • the other rotary valve assembly located on the outlet side of the working conveyor tube can also be provided with a housing.
  • the rotary flap arrangement shown in FIG. 3 it is possible in the rotary flap arrangement shown in FIG. 3 that the rotary flaps 23, 24 can also be driven back and forth in order to open the receptacle 23 formed by them down and to close them again.
  • FIGS. 4 and 5 An alternative embodiment for the rotary flap arrangements 4 and 5 is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
  • Each rotary valve arrangement comprises two opposite rotary valve stars 29, each rotatable star 4 having rotary valves 31 fastened to an axle body 30 at right angles to one another.
  • Each pair of star valves is driven by a common motor 32.
  • two mutually adjacent rotary flaps 31 of each flap star 29 form a common receiving compartment 33 for the filling material portions to be entered one after the other by the feed conveyors 20.
  • the star valve pair 29 is moved forward intermittently by the common motor 32 according to the arrows 34, as a result of which the respective filler portion falls on the conveying device 11 of the relevant conveying pipe 2, 3 .
  • the star valve pair 29 is only driven unidirectionally.
  • the procedure can be such that only the inlet-side rotary flap arrangement 4 of this type is provided with a housing 35 which is open at the top and bottom, such a housing, in practical terms, consisting essentially of only two side walls which lie opposite one another at the star ends.
  • This gripper device consists of an endless conveyor device 36 which is attached to a frame 37.
  • Two deflection wheels 38 are rotatably mounted on this frame and connected by means of an endless conveyor member 38a to a plurality of grippers 39 spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction.
  • the endless conveyor member 38a is driven in a clocked manner by a motor 40, so that the grippers 39 also rotate in a clocked manner.
  • All of the grippers 39 are V-shaped on their front face 39a, so that the net hose section which they grasp in the apex of the V-shape, so that the net tube section can be securely closed at this point in the usual way by means of the device 9.
  • FIG. 7 The alternative embodiment of a gripper device shown in FIG. 7 is star-shaped. It consists of a holding device 42 which can be cyclically driven about a common axis of rotation 41 by means of a motor (not shown), to which, for example, four grippers 39 are fastened at the same distance from one another in the circumferential direction. These grippers also have a V-shaped front.
  • the closing and separating device 9 has a fixed guide plate 43 (FIG. 2), which has a V-shaped inlet guide 44, so that the net hose section 21 brought together by the gripper 39 at its closing and separating point in the apex of the inlet guide 44 for the further handling is securely positioned at this point.
  • a device 45 is also provided in the area of the closing and separating device 9 for attaching a customary, elongated price label (not shown) to the filled, to be disconnected network hose section.
  • a clamp closing unit 9a which are attached at a distance from one another and one above the other in the merged area of the network hose section 21.
  • the lower bracket forms the upper closure of the filled network tube section and the upper bracket the lower closure of the upper network tube section to be subsequently filled.
  • the price label is in the This case attached to the upper bracket of the already filled net tube section.
  • the device 9 has a supply roll 46 on which a narrow metal strip or a wire is wound for the formation of the clips mentioned. This tape is then guided in the conventional manner to the clamp closing unit 9a at the closing and separating point. A further supply roll 47 is provided, on which the label tape is wound.
  • the device 45 for attaching the price marking label comprises, in addition to an insertion unit 45a which introduces the finished label into the clip area and which is incorporated in the clip closing unit 9a, a price calculator 48 which interacts with the weighing device 18, and a printer 49 for printing out the calculated price for the In each case predetermined filler portion 8.
  • the associated price is thus calculated on the basis of the actual weight of the filler portion concerned and printed on a label which is then applied the correct section of the net tube, that is to say to its upper closure clip, is attached when the relevant portion of product has been filled into the correct portion of the net tube.
