Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an element of liners for building cover, applying to all types of roofing, in particular in tiles or slates.
  • doubling means, in the field technique concerned, the lower row of tiles of a sloping roof, so the row of tiles located at the edge of the cover, substantially plumb with a wall.
  • document EP-A-0324047 which forms the basis of the preamble of claim 1, describes an angled profile doubling tile, the lower part forms, relative to the part upper, an obtuse angle turned downwards.
  • the part top of this doubling tile is provided for the retainer from the bottom row of ordinary tiles the blanket.
  • the part bottom of the doubling tile only serves as part for guiding the flow of water to a gutter.
  • This lower part cannot participate in the retaining or supporting elements such as forming tiles the border of the cover, which limits the possibilities of using this doubling tile.
  • the present invention aims to remedy these aforementioned drawbacks, by providing an element of doubling, saving considerable time in terms of concerns its installation, therefore a significant saving in labor, while providing better hold of the structure over time, this doubling element being adaptable to all roof slopes and configurations of entablatures, and being improved with regard to retaining and supporting functions of the elements forming the cover border.
  • the invention essentially has for object a doubling element for building cover, presenting itself as a prefabricated profiled element, finite or indefinite length and can be arranged in the extension of similar elements, with a part lower whose lower face forms an obtuse angle, i.e.
  • doubling elements are installed quickly and accurately, even by staff moderately qualified, in a time that can be around a third or a quarter of the time required to install a traditional doubling.
  • the doubling elements according to the invention are easily fixed, by nailing or screwing, directly on the rafters.
  • the homogeneous structure of these doubling elements also gives them excellent solidity and great longevity.
  • the realization of the doubling element according to the invention in the form of a molded or extruded part allows to obtain, in a particularly economical way, profiles of suitable conformation ensuring as well the main functions of the doubling, namely fixing on the frame and the retention of tiles or slates, that complementary functions making this element of extremely advantageous doubling.
  • the underside of the doubling element may have a snap profile, such as shoulder, for hanging the element on a slat or a batten, itself fixed on the rafters.
  • the underside of the element can also be smooth to direct attachment to the rafters as already indicated upper. In any case, this underside has two substantially planar parts, forming between they an obtuse angle (turned up in position of use).
  • This feature allows adaptation easy doubling element according to the invention in various entablature and roof configurations of different slopes, ensuring if necessary compensation for the angle formed between the sand pit and the outer end of the protruding entablature of the masonry, even the replacement of the chanlatte; there is a difference fundamental between the object of the invention and the known prior achievements posing as simple flat plates.
  • the angular profile of the doubling element leads to a realization relatively thick and rigid, suitable for strengthening and protect the first row of tiles or slates retained on this doubling element.
  • the upper side of the doubling element can also have a snap profile, such as a other shoulder, for retaining tiles, in particular flat tiles.
  • the upper face of the doubling element is relatively smooth and provided for receive means for retaining the cover elements, such as tiles or slates. If it's tiles, we advantageously provides, on the upper face of the element, a notch for setting up and holding slats or battens on which the tiles hang. If it is slate, the upper side of the element advantageously includes markers for the installation of slate retaining hooks in the desired position depending on the gauge.
  • the upper part of the doubling element is achievable with a tapered profile.
  • a prefabricated gutter support Under the lower part of the doubling element, can be attached a prefabricated gutter support. he is also possible to attach a gutter profile complete under the lower part of the doubling element.
  • the gutter support or the profile of gutter is attached to the lower part of the element doubling through a hinge pin, allowing adjustment according to the slope of the roof, means being provided for immobilizing the support or gutter profile in a suitable angular position compared to the rest of the doubling element.
  • This doubling element may also include, coming directly from molding, provisions for water flow, for low ventilation of the cover, to stop snow, etc ...
  • the integration of multiple functions further increases the interest of the element doublings according to the invention and the savings made by the implementation of such an element.
  • FIG. 1 shows a doubling element 1, intended for flat roofing 2 indicated partially in Figure 2.
  • the doubling element 1 is presented as a prefabricated profile element, characterized by a profile specific, and having a certain length L.
  • This doubling element 1 can be made of plastic extruded or molded such as polyvinyl chloride, in terracotta, wood or any other suitable material.
  • the doubling element 1 in FIGS. 1 and 2 has an upper part 3, an upper edge 4 and, on its underside a hanging profile such as a shoulder 5.
  • the lower part 6 of the element of doublis 1 forms an obtuse angle A (turned upwards in position of use) in relation to the upper part 3, and it has a decreasing thickness in direction of the lower edge 7 of the element.
  • a profile attachment, such as another shoulder 8, is provided on the upper face of element 1, at the junction of its upper 3 and lower 6.
  • the upper part 3 of the doubling element 1 is hung by the shoulder 5 on a batten or a batten 9, itself attached to the rafters 10.
  • a means of attachment 11, such as a nail or a screw, passes through the part upper 3 of element 1 and fixes it on the batten or battens 9 and / or the rafter 10.
  • the lower part 6 of the doubling element 1 rests on the entablature 12 of the masonry 13, stone or cement.
  • the penultimate row of flat tiles 2 is hung on the upper edge 4 of the element 1, while that the lower row of tiles 2 is hung on the shoulder 8 of the element 1, and rests on the face upper part 6 of this element 1, extending to its lower edge 7.
  • the doubling elements 1, arranged in the extension of each other, here have holes 14 and 15 for their end-to-end assembly by means of pins 16.
  • Other holes 17 can be arranged in advance in the upper part 3, for the passage of fixing nails or screws 11.
  • the doubling element 1 may also have, at level of its shoulder 8, "V" grooves 18 for water drainage.
  • slightly bent profile of the doubling element 1 allows its adaptation whatever either the distance D horizontally separating the end bottom of rafter 10 and the outer edge of the entablature 12 of the masonry 13, and this whatever the slope of the roof.
  • FIG. 3 shows another embodiment, in which the doubling element 1 always has a upper part 3 and lower part 6, forming between them an obtuse angle A.
  • This doubling element 1 does not has no shoulders: the upper part 3 of element 1 has a tapered profile and has, on its upper face, a notch 19, while its face lower is smooth.
