Definitions

  • the invention relates to a bending device for hollow profiles, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a bending device is already known from DE 33 12 764 A1 and has proven itself.
  • the necessary tools have to be changed so far, in particular a bending mandrel of a length must be used that corresponds to the width of the profile cross section to be bent.
  • a bending device with the features of claim 1. Characterized in that the bending mandrel is slidably mounted on one of its bearing points, the bending mandrel can be adapted to the width of the respective profile web to be bent by changing its length protruding from the bearing opening.
  • the side stop having the bearing opening is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the bending mandrel relative to the latter. This makes it possible to implement a particularly simple solution in which the device can also be adapted to profiles of different widths.
  • the bending mandrel is fixed immovably on its bearing point facing away from the displaceable bearing point. This makes the device stable against the Stress caused by the forces occurring during the bending process.
  • a particularly advantageous further development can consist in that the bending mandrel has circumferentially spaced ring grooves for receiving flanges projecting at right angles from the profile web resting on the bending mandrel, the width of these ring grooves being equal to or greater than the thickness of these flanges and the thickness of these flanges corresponds in particular to at least twice the wall thickness of the profile walls.
  • Hollow profiles that have side flanges protruding on opposite longitudinal edges of the profile above the surface of the profile web in between are used for spacing in insulating glass panes, a spacing frame being formed by applying these side flanges or side webs on mutually facing sides of the glass panes.
  • the annular grooves present in the bending mandrel according to the invention make it possible to accommodate the side flanges in the free spaces formed by the annular grooves, so that the recessed transverse web region - the profile web - between the flanges of the profile can lie flat on the surface of the bending mandrel and is therefore good for the bending process is supported.
  • annular grooves are arranged at a distance at which the hollow profiles differ from one another with regard to their width dimensions.
  • a bending mandrel provided with annular grooves can be adapted to the different width gradations of the profile webs.
  • a particularly stable storage is obtained if the end of the bending mandrel opposite the displaceable bearing point is fixed and the bending mandrel from that to the side stop protruding surface for the profile to be bent.
  • the ring groove wall facing away from the fixed bearing point is flush with the side stop of the bearing belonging to the fixed bearing point, the bending mandrel section adjacent to this ring groove wall being enclosed by the bearing belonging to the fixed bearing point. So that the side surfaces of the profile web lie smoothly on the side abutment surfaces of the bearings and the continuation of these groove walls, so that warpage of the side webs of the profile can be avoided during the bending process.
  • the displaceable part of the bending mandrel is arranged on the side facing away from the displaceable contact side and is connected to the device via tie rods.
  • the necessary holding pressure on the profile web inserted between the two bearings can be transferred well via the tie rods and the length of the effective area of the bending mandrel for inserting profiles of different widths can be adjusted.
  • the displaceable bearing point has a width in the radial direction which corresponds at least to the profile height.
  • the displaceable bearing point is rotatably mounted. It is expedient if the fixed bearing point opposite the displaceable bearing point is likewise rotatably mounted. By carrying along the side stop surfaces that act on the side surfaces of the profile of the bearing points the frictional stress on these contact surfaces is reduced during the bending.
  • the mandrel is arranged approximately centrally between the two tie rods, the longitudinal direction of extension of the tie rods running parallel to one another and to the longitudinal axis of the bent mandrel.
  • the free length of the bending mandrel can be adjusted while avoiding jamming and adapted to the width of the profile to be bent.
  • a particularly maintenance-friendly development of the invention can consist in the fact that the mandrel can be exchanged in its bearings.
  • a very particularly expedient modification and configuration of the invention can consist in the fact that the bending mandrel can be at least partially, preferably completely, retracted into the bending unit or the like mounting that holds it.
  • the space bridged by the bending mandrel, in which the profile to be bent is arranged during the bending process is free transversely to the orientation direction of the bending mandrel, so that a profile and in particular a profile frame that has already been partially bent transversely to the longitudinal extension of the mandrel at the bending point can be used.
  • the mandrel can then be moved back into the position of use, after which a desired bending can be carried out.
  • the profile of the spacer frame has flanges protruding from the profile web resting on the bending mandrel and the bending mandrel has corresponding grooves, the profile must be held a little distance from the mandrel during insertion of the bending mandrel into its position of use. However, since there is enough space to the side of the mandrel, this is easily possible. After positioning the mandrel, the profile can then be brought into its final bending position.
  • a device designated overall by 1 in FIG. 1 is used for bending hollow profiles 2, in particular for producing a spacing frame for insulating glass panes.
  • the hollow profile 2 can be empty or completely or partially filled with drying agent 3 during the bend.
  • the device 1 has a bending tool 4, which is used to detect the part of the profile 2 to be bent.
  • the part of the profile 2 to be bent is inserted or clamped between two mutually opposite side stops 5, 6.
  • the inner stationary side stop 5, which acts as a bending hold-down device is arranged approximately in the middle of a bending unit 7, while the outer, displaceable side stop 6 - which also acts as a bending hold-down device - is arranged in the opposite direction in the middle on a base plate 8.
  • This base plate 8 is rectangular, the area of its opposite narrow sides being penetrated by the end of a pull rod 9. Both pull rods 9 pass through - displaceably - eccentrically arranged bores 10 in the bending unit 7 and are fixed eccentrically at their ends on a pull plate 11, which in turn is centrally connected to a working piston 12.
  • the working piston 12 is slidably arranged in a hold-down cylinder 13, so that the tension plate 11 and the rigidly connected base plate 8 can be moved so that between the side stop 6 mounted on the base plate 8 and that along the direction of displacement on the opposite side on the bending unit 7 arranged side stop 5, a space is created in which the hollow profile 2 is inserted.
  • the hold-down cylinder 13 provides the necessary holding force for the side stops 5, 6 which act on the sides of the hollow profile 2.
  • the side stops 5,6 opposite each other in the direction of displacement - cf. Fig. 2 - have approximately the same circular cross-sections on the end face and have bearing openings 14 for the mandrel 15 which extend centrally along the direction of displacement.
  • the cross-section occurs round bending mandrel 15 at one end to form a bearing 23b slidably into the bearing opening 14 of the side stop 6 arranged in the base plate 8, the side stop 6 having the bearing opening 14 and the bending mandrel 15 being adjustable relative to one another in the longitudinal direction of extension of the bending mandrel 15.
  • the bending mandrel 15 is fixed immovably on the side stop 5.
  • the mandrel 15 is arranged approximately centrally between the two tie rods 9, the longitudinal direction of the tie rods 9 being parallel to one another and to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel 15.
  • the plane formed by the axes of the tie rods 9 and the mandrel 15 extends obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the profile 2, which is clamped between the side stops 5, 6 acting as a bending hold-down device and acts on the lower peripheral region of the mandrel 15.
  • the area of the profile 2 that is not to be bent is clamped between two vertically arranged clamping jaws 16, while the end that emerges on the opposite part of the device 1 and is to be bent is acted upon on its underside by a jaw-like bending tool 4.
  • This bending tool 4 can be pivoted about the longitudinal axis of the bending mandrel 15 - according to the arrow Pf 1.
  • the area of the profile 2 protruding from the side stops 5, 6 and acted upon by the bending tool 4 is also pivoted, only the zone 17 acted upon by the bending mandrel 15 being bent.
  • the hollow profiles 2 have flanges 18 which protrude at right angles to the web 2a at the opposite longitudinal edges and which - like outer webs - project beyond the surface of the profile web 2a located between the flanges 18. Since the cross-sectional thickness C of these flanges corresponds approximately to twice the wall thickness A of the profile walls, the bending mandrel 15 has circumferentially spaced annular grooves 19 for receiving these flanges 18. In this case, the profile web 2a of the profile 2 located between the flanges 18 on the inside of the bend to be applied lies smoothly on the surface of the bending mandrel 15. The width B of these ring grooves 19 corresponds approximately to the thickness C of these flanges 18. The ring grooves 19 are expediently arranged at a distance E which corresponds to the gradation differences of the various hollow profiles 2 - these are graduated or different in their width dimensions. The bending mandrel 15 can thus accommodate hollow sections 2 of different widths.
  • the annular groove wall 20 facing away from the fixed bearing 23a - which is located on the immovable side stop 5 - is flush with the side stop surface 5 of the fixed bearing.
  • the mandrel section 22 adjacent to this annular groove wall 20 is enclosed by the bearing belonging to the fixed bearing 23a.
  • the corresponding annular groove wall 20 is flush with the opposite sliding bearing 23b with the side surface belonging to this bearing 23b.
  • the embodiment according to FIG. 4 largely corresponds to the embodiment described above.
  • the bending mandrel 15 can not only perform a relative adjustment with respect to the bearing point 23b, but also that it penetrates a corresponding hole or perforation in the side stop 5, that is to say it can also be displaced relative to this and the bearing point 23a present there, specifically from the space between the two side stops 5 and 6 is retractable.
  • a profile 2 can thus be introduced transversely to the side stops 5 and 6 between them, for example from above, without the bending mandrel being in the way.
  • the profile 2 belongs to an already partially bent spacer frame, in which the bending mandrel 15 may be used to make a final bend to close the frame after this partially bent frame has been filled.
  • This embodiment according to FIG. 4 is therefore particularly suitable for arrangement within a device for filling partially curved spacer frames.
  • the side stops 5, 6 So that the profile 2 cannot warp, the side stops 5, 6 have a width in the radial direction which corresponds at least to the profile height.
  • the bearing points 23a, 23b are rotatably mounted on the two side stops 5,6. For maintenance, it is advantageous if the bending mandrel 15 can be replaced at the bearing points 23a, 23b.
