Abstract

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Zuführen von Druckplatten auf den Plattenzylinder von Druckmaschinen gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1.The invention relates to a device for feeding printing plates to the plate cylinder of printing machines according to the preamble of claim 1.

Bei Bogenoffsetdruckmaschinen wird eine Druckplatte auf dem Plattenzylinder mittels in einem Zylinderkanal angeordneter und jeweils dem Druckanfang und dem Druckende zugeordneter Spannschienen befestigt, wobei zunächst der Druckanfangbereich der Druckplatte in den Erfassungsbereich einer entsprechend ausgebildeten Spannschiene eingelegt (geklemmt) und sodann das Druckende in der entsprechend zweiten Spannschiene ebenfalls geklemmt und sodann unter Kraftaufwendung gespannt wird. Gerade bei großformatigen Druckplatten gestaltet sich das Einführen des Druckanfangbereiches der Druckplatte in die entsprechende Druckanfang-Spannschiene sehr mühsam und zeitaufwendig, da die entsprechende Kante der Druckplatte über die gesamte Breite in einen zum Teil sehr engen Schlitz des Erfassungsbereiches eingeführt werden muß. Eine Helligkeit der Druckanfang-Kante der Druckplatte verschlimmert diesen Umstand noch. Diese Systeme weisen neben Speicher- und Aufnahmebereichen für die Druckplatten auch Transporteinrichtungen zum Zu- bzw. Abfördern der Druckplatten auf. Aus "Der Polygraph" 2/92, Seite 6, sowie der JP-A 63-191636 sind halbautomatische Druckplattenwechselsysteme bekannt, bei denen der Plattenzylinder Einrichtungen aufweist, um den Druckanfang und das Druckende der Druckplatte zu klemmen und sodann zu spannen. Ferner sind Vorrichtungen vorgesehen, durch welche die Druckplatte mit einem reduzierten Handhabungsaufwand auf dem Plattenzylinder aufgezogen werden kann. Die aus der zuletzt genannten Schrift bekannte Vorrichtung sieht hier insbesondere eine verschwenkbar gelagerte und an den Außenumfang des Plattenzylinders anstellbare Andrückrolle vor, durch welche insbesondere das Druckende der Druckplatte in eine entsprechend gestaltete Druckende-Spannschiene eingeführt wird. Eine Einrichtung zur wesentlichen Vereinfachung des Vorganges beim Einführen der Vorderkante der Druckplatte in die entsprechende Spannschiene ist jedoch nicht erkennbar. Ein halbautomatisches Druckplattenwechselsystem, bei der eine neue Druckplatte aus einer am hochschwenkbaren Schutz vor den Druckwerkszylindern befindlichen Position dem Plattenzylinder zugeführt wird ist ebenfalls aus der JP-A 59-22755 bekannt.From "The Polygraph" 2/92, page 6, and JP-A 63-191636, semi-automatic printing plate changing systems are known in which the plate cylinder has devices for clamping and then tensioning the start and end of the printing plate. Nach der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß dem Plattenzylinder der Druckmaschine eine an dessen Außenumfang an- und abstellbar gelagerte, über die Formatbreite des Plattenzylinders sich erstreckende Einführschiene zugeordnet ist. Der Plattenzylinder wird dabei in eine Stellung verfahren, bei welcher die erfindungsgemäße Einführschiene an den Bereich der Abkantung des Druckanfanges des Plattenzylinders anstellbar ist und somit mit einer über ihre gesamte Länge reichenden Fläche und mit dem entsprechenden Außenumfang des Plattenzylinders einen trichterförmigen Bereich bildet, der genau in den Erfassungsbereich der geöffneten Druckanfang-Spannschiene des Plattenzylinders mündet. Die neu zuzuführende Druckplatte braucht somit lediglich in diesen Einführbereich eingeschoben werden und wird quasi selbsttätig durch die Fläche der Einführschiene einerseits sowie den Außenumfang des Plattenzylinders andererseits in die geöffnete Druckanfang-Spannschiene eingeführt. Die Andrückrolle 18 erstreckt sich über die gesamte Formatbreite und ist beispielsweise über zwei Lagerhebel (je einer an einer Seitengestellwand der Druckmaschine) und über je einen Pneumatikzylinder an- und abstellbar. Wie aus dem Stand der Technik bekannt, vermag eine derartige Andrückrolle 18 auch das nachlaufende Ende der Druckplatte in eine entsprechend gestaltete Spannschiene 4 des Druckendes einzuführen. Claims (9)

  1. Device for feeding printing plates to the plate cylinder of printing presses, particularly offset sheet printing presses, in which the plate cylinder (1) has in a cylinder channel (2) a tensioning rail (3) arranged for the print start (DA), which for receiving the front edge of the printing plate has a grasping region (17) which can be opened in the form of a slot extending across the format width, which in substantially tangential direction debouches at the exterior periphery of the plate cylinder (1) and a running-in surface (15) for a new printing plate which is laid against the plate cylinder (1) and can be set against this is provided, characterised in that the guiding-in surface (15) is constructed as a guiding-in rail (9) extending across the format width of the plate cylinder (1), which can be set against the exterior periphery of the plate cylinder (1) in the region of the print start (DA) so that via the guiding-in surface (15) directed towards the plate cylinder (1) of the guiding-in rail (9) the front edge of a printing plate can be introduced into the opened grasping region (17) of the tensioning rail (3).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the feeding-in rail (9) is mounted swivellably about a swivel axis (7) running parallel to the axis of the plate cylinder (1).
  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the swivel axis (7) is attached to a protective cover (6) arranged in front of the printing unit cylinders, which particularly is displaceable via means of a linear guide installed in each case on one side frame wall of the printing unit.
  4. Device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the guiding-in rail (9) is attached at the swivellable end of a profiled metal sheet (8) extending over the format width of the plate cylinder (11), which is suspended with one side on the swivel axis (7).
  5. Device according to Claim 4, characterised in that the shaped metal sheet (8) has a curvature in the direction transverse to the format width and is suspended on the swivel axis (7) with the concave side of this curvature is directed to the plate cylinder (1).
  6. Device according to Claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the guiding-in surface (15) of the guiding-in rail (9) is constructed as a shaped region of the swivellable end of the shaped metal sheet (8).
