Definitions

  • the invention relates to a connecting rod for window and door fittings, in particular a connecting rod coupling piece for fitting components which are fixed to a window or door element, e.g. a wing, stopable guide plate, primarily a faceplate or a faceplate, have longitudinally slidable functional elements.
  • a window or door element e.g. a wing, stopable guide plate, primarily a faceplate or a faceplate, have longitudinally slidable functional elements.
  • It consists of a sheet metal profile which is U-shaped in cross-section and which consists of a flat material strip, e.g. a strip cut, is formed by bending deformation and is provided at least at one of its two ends in the region of the U-flanges with a coupling toothing, which forms an engagement for a complementary coupling counter-toothing, which is located on another drive rod or another drive rod piece.
  • a drive rod of the generic type described above is previously known from FR-PS 1 005 795.
  • the U-flanges of each sheet profile near the profile ends each have several right-angled edge notches in such a way that they alternate with rectangular teeth and tooth gaps be formed.
  • These rectangular teeth and - tooth gaps extend on the U-shaped sheet metal profiles in the height direction of the flanges and are designed so that two identical drive rod pieces can be gradually adjusted longitudinally with one another in mutual positive engagement.
  • flank surfaces of the rectangular teeth and tooth gaps each have only a width which corresponds to the wall thickness of the sheet metal profiles, that is to say are relatively narrow, care must be taken to ensure that they cannot undesirably disengage transversely to the longitudinal direction of the sheet metal profiles. Therefore, the webs of the U-shaped sheet metal profiles are equipped with tongue-like extensions that have a bend running in the direction of the flanges. When two connecting rod pieces are mutually coupled, their tongue-like extensions with minimal lateral play alternately engage between the U-flanges of both sheet metal profiles and thereby ensure the mutual interaction of the narrow flank surfaces of rectangular teeth and tooth gaps between two identical connecting rod pieces.
  • a major disadvantage of connecting rods or connecting rod coupling pieces with the training features of FR-PS 1 005 795 is that the coupling teeth, which are in the plane of the U-flanges and consist of rectangular teeth and tooth spaces, must have a relatively large pitch and therefore a change in length Allow only relatively large adjustment steps in the area of the clutch engagement. A fine-tuned change in length of the coupling connection between adjacent connecting rods or connecting rod pieces is therefore not possible.
  • the aim of the invention is to provide connecting rods, in particular connecting rod coupling pieces of the generic type, which can be manufactured with high dimensional stability with a relatively low cost of material and which can be used without problems for use in connection with fitting components, the accommodation of which in relatively flat profiled step grooves - so-called euro grooves - of window or door elements, such as sashes, is possible.
  • drive rods or drive rod coupling pieces equipped with these features of the invention can be produced from flat material strips, for example strip cuts, the material thickness of which corresponds to only a fraction of the material thickness from which the drive rods or drive rod coupling pieces with a flat cross section are usually made become. In most cases, it is sufficient according to the invention to use flank material strips or strip blanks as the starting material, the thickness of which corresponds to approximately half the thickness of conventional flat-rectangular drive rods.
  • the object of the invention can therefore also be used where hitherto length-adjustable rod couplings with features according to DE-PS 26 35 446, DE-OS 26 35 708, DE-GM 83 24 586 and DE-OS 36 40 500 have been used have been.
  • the profile web of the large profile height step is additionally equipped with a flat skid-like skid over most of its width.
  • the invention further provides that the profile web of the small profile height step following the other end of the U-shaped sheet profile is embossed flat bracket-like over part of the flange height, this flat bracket-like embossing of the web in the area of the small profile height step of the sheet profile can be formed between two parallel gap cuts.
  • two holes can be provided at a distance one behind the other in the flat bracket-like embossing, at least one of which is surrounded by a shaped neck or collar which projects beyond the flange ends of the U-profile of the small profile height step.
  • the contour of the fine toothing runs out at a minimum distance above the profile web of the large profile height level of the U-shaped sheet metal profile, preferably with a curve into the bending radius between the profile web and the profile flanges.
  • the profile web of the drive rod or of the drive rod coupling piece can also be provided with an elongated hole which extends continuously over a length range of the U-shaped sheet metal profile, which extends from the inner end of the large profile height step to the inner end of the flat bracket-like embossing. Due to the angular profile parts remaining on both sides of the elongated hole, the drive rod or the connecting rod coupling piece but still the necessary stability.
  • the invention also relates to a fitting component with a corner deflection and at least one connecting rod coupling piece, in which a guide channel, preferably with an approximately C-shaped cross-sectional profile, is seated on the inside of an angle plate, primarily a faceplate angle, which has two through an arcuate central piece in integrally connected and approximately at right angles to each other guide legs.
  • a flexible thrust deflector e.g. in the form of spring steel strips, guided longitudinally and at least one end of the thrust deflector is connected to the connecting rod coupling piece within the guide channel by at least one bolt.
  • the connecting rod coupling is underpinned by a support or foot plate, which is connected on the one hand to the angle plate and / or the guide channel and on the other hand receives its abutment on the bottom of a step groove - the so-called Euro groove - which is in the window or Door element is provided as a receptacle for the fitting component.
  • a characteristic feature of the invention in this case is that the U-shaped sheet metal profile of the connecting rod coupling piece engages only with its small profile height level in the distance region between the support or footplate and the guide channel, that the U-shaped sheet metal profile with its central one Profile height level on the one hand up to the end of the support or foot plate and on the other hand can be pushed under the end of the angle plate projecting above this support or foot plate, and that the large profile height level of the U-shaped sheet metal profile constantly in front of the projecting end of the Angle plate remains.
  • a further development of the invention also lies in the fact that the free flange ends of the U-shaped sheet metal profile face the longitudinal edges of the guide channel in the region of the small profile height step. Furthermore, the offset in the area of the middle profile height level of the U-shaped sheet profile and / or the skid be led beyond the profile web side of the small profile height level by an amount that corresponds at least approximately to the thickness of the support or footplate.
  • the neck or collar of the sheet metal profile emanating from the flat bracket-like embossment protrudes into the longitudinal gap of the C-shaped guide channel cross section and is supported with its end edges on the thrust deflecting member guided therein, and that the latter Neck or collar can also be used as a receptacle for a bolt or pin penetrating the thrust deflecting member and the sheet metal profile.
  • connecting rod coupling pieces are also required, in which a - further - offset is provided in the area of the small profile height step in the direction of the open U-side of the sheet profile.
  • the height of this offset should at least correspond to the cross-sectional height of the guide channel of a corner deflection, so that in the installed state or after the connecting rod fitting has been attached, the connecting rod coupling piece with its small profile height step is in a gap between the back of a faceplate and the outer surface facing it can accommodate straight guide leg of the guide channel.
  • the end edges of the U-flanges of the small profile height level face the back of the faceplate.
  • Length-adjustable rod couplings 1 are generally required for window and door fittings, primarily for fitting components that have function elements arranged under a stationary on a window or door element, for example a sash, a faceplate or a faceplate, which are adjustable in length make it possible to be able to adapt fitting components to be attached adjacent to one another - if necessary after previously performing cut-to-length cuts on one of them - exactly to different dimensions of the window or door elements to be fitted.
  • Such a length-adjustable linkage coupling 1 is formed according to FIG. 3 of the drawing by a drive rod 2 and a drive rod coupling piece 3.
  • the drive rod 2 is made of a strip or rod material with a flat cross section and has fine coupling teeth 4, which are located on at least one longitudinal edge, but preferably on both narrow longitudinal edges running parallel to one another, and whose tooth contour extends normally to the broad side of the drive rod 2.
  • the coupling fine toothing 4 of the drive rod 2 are preferably designed such that their teeth or tooth gaps each have a pitch of at most 2 mm from one another.
  • the drive rod coupling piece 3, which is also necessary to form a length-adjustable rod coupling 1, is formed, however, by a sheet profile 5 which is U-shaped in cross section and which can be produced from a strip of flat material, for example a strip cut, by bending deformation such that two profile bars 6 have two U- Stand up flanges 7 and 8. At one of its ends there is the connecting rod coupling piece 3 in the region of its U-flanges 7 and 8 with a fine coupling toothing 9 which forms an engagement for the coupling fine toothing 4 of the connecting rod 2 which forms a complementary counter toothing.
  • the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 of the connecting rod coupling 3 has at least three different profile height levels 10, 11 and 12 over its length.
  • the large profile height level 10 is assigned to one profile end 13, while the small profile height level 12 is adjacent to the other profile end 14.
  • the coupling fine teeth 9 are stamped or pressed into the flanges 7a and 8a of the large profile height step 10 from the outside in such a way that their contour is aligned parallel to the profile web 6 and narrows in cross-section into the U-profile of the profile height step 10 , as can be clearly seen in Fig. 2 of the drawing.
  • the middle profile height step 11 has its arrangement in a length range of the connecting rod coupling piece 3, which is between the large profile height step 10 and the small profile height level 12.
  • the small profile height level 12 merges into the medium profile height level 11 through an offset 15 directed towards the profile web side.
  • 1, 3 and 7 of the drawing also shows that it is possible to additionally equip the profile web 6a of the large profile height step 10 with a flat trough-shaped skid 19 at least over most of its width, this preferably being about Protrudes 0.4 mm to 0.5 mm above the profile web 6a.
  • the profile web 6c of the small profile height step 12 can be provided at the end 14 of the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 with a flat bracket-like embossing 20, which is over a height part the flanges 7c and 8c extend.
  • the embossing 20 of the profile web 6c can advantageously be carried out between two parallel gap cuts 21, which are indicated in FIG. 4 of the drawing.
  • two holes 22 and 23 are provided at a distance from one another, of which at least the hole 22 is surrounded by an upwardly shaped neck or collar 24, which ends of the flanges 7c and 8c of the U-profile of the small profile height level 12 projects beyond a certain minimum dimension 25.
  • Fig. 2 of the drawing makes it clear that the profile web 6 of the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 can be provided with an elongated hole 27.
  • This slot 27 can extend continuously over a length range of the U-shaped sheet metal profile, which extends from the inner end of the large profile height step 10 to the inner end of the flat bracket-like embossing 20. Due to the shape provided - both sides of the elongated hole 27 standing angle profile parts - the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 is so strong in shape despite the presence of the elongated hole 27 that it withstands the tensile, compressive and bending stresses occurring in practical use without further resistance.
  • a corner deflection 28 is shown as a fitting component equipped with connecting rod coupling pieces 3 according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • a guide channel 30 is located on the inside of a faceplate angle 29, which can be made of brass, for example, with an approximately C-shaped cross-sectional profile.
  • This guide channel 30 has two guide legs 32 and 33 which are connected in one piece by an arcuate center piece 31 and are oriented approximately at right angles to one another flexible thrust deflection member 34 is slidably received, for example, that can be formed by spring steel strips.
  • Each end of the thrust deflection member 34 is permanently connected within the guide channel 30 by at least one bolt 35, each with a connecting rod coupling piece 3.
  • Each drive rod coupling piece 3 is underpinned by a support or foot plate 36, which is in fixed connection with the faceplate 29 and / or the guide channel 30 via a guide web 37. The passes through the elongated hole 27 in the profile web 6 of the relevant connecting rod coupling piece 3, as can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. 5.
  • the corner drive 28 receives its abutment on the bottom of a step groove (not shown) - the so-called Euro groove - which is provided in the window or door element as a receptacle for the entire fitting component.
  • the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 of each connecting rod coupling piece 3 exclusively with its small profile height step 12 in the distance range between the support or foot plate 36 and the guide legs 32 and 33 of Guide channel 30 of the corner drive 28 engages.
  • the central profile height level 11 With its central profile height level 11, the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 of each connecting rod coupling piece 3 can be pushed on the one hand up to the end 38 of the respective support or foot plate 36.
  • the middle profile height step 11 includes the end 39 of the faceplate 29 protruding beyond the respective end 38 of the support or foot plate 36.
  • the U-shaped sheet profile 5 of each drive rod coupling piece 3 remains in any possible sliding position constantly in front of the adjacent end 39 of the faceplate 29 of the corner deflection, in order to ensure a convenient and problem-free engagement of the drive rod 2 to form the rod coupling 1 there. It is particularly recognizable from 4 and 5 of the drawing that the free ends of the flanges 7c and 8c of the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 in the region of the small profile height step 12 are turned towards the longitudinal edges of the guide channel 30 and can therefore come into linear contact with them at best .
  • Fig. 4 of the drawing further illustrates that the neck or collar 24 extending from the flat bracket-like embossing 20 protrudes into the longitudinal gap of the guide channel 30 of the corner deflection 28, which is C-shaped in cross section. With its end edges, it is supported on the thrust deflection member 34 received within the guide channel 30 and thus prevents the occurrence of clamping forces between the connecting rod coupling piece 3, the thrust deflection member 34 and the guide channel 30.
  • the neck or collar 24 can also be the receptacle for a rivet pin or -bolts 14, which connects the locking pin 39 with the U-shaped sheet metal profile 5 of the connecting rod coupling piece 3 and possibly the thrust deflection member 34.
  • the connecting rod coupling piece 3 shown in FIG. 7 differs from the connecting rod coupling pieces 3 according to FIGS. 1 and 3 essentially only in that there is an additional one in the area of the smaller profile height step 12 in the direction of the open U side of the Sheet profile 5 guided - further offset 42 has.
  • the height 43 of this offset 42 is designed such that it corresponds at least to the cross-sectional height as it has a guide channel 30 used in a corner deflection in the region of its guide legs 32 and 33.
  • a drive rod coupling piece 3 of the type shown in FIG. 7 is provided for those applications where the length section of the drive rod coupling piece 3 having the small profile height step 12 has an installation position between the rear side of a faceplate and a guide leg 32 or 33 of a guide channel 30 must receive. In this case, the end edges of the profile flanges 7c and 8c then face the rear of the faceplate.
