  1. A positioning bar according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the raised part (20) is formed with two consecutive spaced-apart apertures (22, 23), at least one (22) of which has around it a neck or collar (24) extending beyond the flange ends of the small step (12) of the channel section member (5).
  7. A positioning bar according to claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the contour of the fine toothings (9) runs out at a very reduced distance above the base (6a) of the large step (10) and preferably merges by way of a bend (26) into the bending radius between the base (6a) and the flanges (7a, 8a) (Figs. 6 and 7).
  8. A positioning bar according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the base (6) of the channel section member (5) is formed with a slot (27), the same extending continuously over that part of the length of the latter member which extends from the inner end of the large step (10) to the inner end of the raised part (20) (Fig. 2).
  9. A fitting component having a corner deflection and at least one positioning bar coupling element according to one or more of claims 1 to 8 wherein a guide channel (30), which preferably has a substantially C-shaped cross-section, is disposed on the inside of an angle plate, preferably a face angle (29), the channel having two guide arms (32, 33) which are unitary with one another by way of an arcuate central member (31) and which extend substantially at right-angles to one another, a flexible element (34) such as spring steel strips for changing direction of movement being guided for longitudinal movement in the guide channel (30), at least one end of the direction-changing element (34) being connected to the positioning bar coupling element in the guide channel (30) by at least one pin, a support or bottom plate (36) engaging below the coupling element (3), the plate (36) being connected at one end to the angle plate (29) and/or the guide channel (30) and at the other end bearing on the base of a stepped groove with which the window or door element is formed to receive the fitting component,
    characterised in that
    the channel section member (5) of the coupling element (3) engages solely by way of its small step (12) in the gap between the support or bottom plate (36) and the guide channel (36);
    the channel section member (5) is movable by way of its medium step (11), on the one hand, to before the end (38) of the support or bottom plate (36) and, on the other hand, to below that end (39) of the angle plate (29) which extends beyond the support or bottom plate (36), and
    the large step (10) always remains before the projecting end (39) of the angle plate (29).
  10. A fitting component according to claim 9, characterised in that in the small-step zone the free flange ends of the channel section member (5) face the longitudinal edges of the guide channel (30) (Figs. 4 and 5).
  11. A fitting component according to claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the widening (15) in the medium-step zone and/or the runner (19) extend beyond the base side of the small step (12) by an amount (16) corresponding at least substantially to the thickness of the support or bottom plate (36) (Fig. 3).
  12. A fitting component according to any of claims 9 to 11, characterised in that the neck or collar (24) extending from the raised part (20) extends into the longitudinal gap of the C-section guide channel (30) and bears by way of its end edges on the direction-changing element (34) guided in such channel, and the neck or collar (24) also serves to receive a pin or the like (40) which extends through the direction-changing element (34) and the channel section member (5).
