Definitions
- the invention relates to a bottle cap according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a bottle cap of the type mentioned is known from DE-A-2 625 175, a collar projecting into the bottle neck and being liquid-closable at the lower end being present as well as a collar wall of larger diameter, which receives a lid on the top. This is assigned to the collar wall by locking. There is no rotation lock between the cover and the collar wall. If an attempt is made to unscrew the bottle cap from the bottle neck, it can happen that only the lid itself is taken along, while overcoming the existing friction between the lid and the collar wall.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a bottle cap of the type in question of a user-safe construction.
- This object is achieved in a generic bottle cap by a screw connection between the lid and the collar wall and a rotating lock acting in the unscrewing direction between the two.
- the lid can therefore have any suitable shape and represent a larger area of the gripping surface of the bottle closure cap, without only taking the lid with it during a unscrewing movement. Basically, it is achieved that after the lid has been put on, there is always a non-rotatable unit of lid and collar or bottle cap, so that the lid never inadvertently reaches the collar wall in an open position.
- the object of the invention is also achieved in that the cover is screwed to the collar wall in such a way that the cover thread forms the screw-on thread with an extension and that a turning lock acting in the unscrewing direction is provided between the cover and the collar wall.
- One and the same screw-on thread now work together both with the external thread of the larger wall area and with the external thread of the bottle neck. Unscrewing the bottle cap by attacking the lid therefore always leads to the bottle cap being carried in this version as well.
- the turnstile in the form of a tooth mesh, which is at the level of the transition zone. Accordingly, the turnstile is located in a stable area of the bottle cap.
- the turnstile can also be generated in that the collar wall of larger diameter with inner radial locking projections is equipped, which cooperate with downward projecting carrier webs starting from the inside of the lid.
- the radial latching projections in connection with the driver webs lead to a nesting of the lid and the collar wall of larger diameter.
- the design of the locking projections and driver webs is such that they represent the turnstile acting in the unscrewing direction. Therefore, the interior of the cap can never be opened unintentionally.
- the lid is designed as a bottle-like component. Because of this bottle-like design of the cover, in particular, it is possible to design it so that the diameter of the cover exceeds the diameter of the collar wall of larger diameter. The total volume to be stored in the bottle cap can hereby be increased considerably, adapted to different uses, again without the need to change the structural shape of the associated bottle neck on which the bottle cap is to be placed as a whole. Commercial bottles can therefore be equipped with such a bottle cap.
- the receiving space cover (cover) to have a diameter which exceeds the diameter of the collar wall of larger diameter. By overlaying the larger diameter of the collar wall, a large inner diameter of the same can be achieved, so that the receiving volume within the bottle cap can also be increased in this way.
- the bottle cap 5 has an upper lid 8 and a lower cup 7.
- the bottle cap 5 is screwed onto a bottle neck 1 of a bottle 2.
- the bottle cap 5 serves to hold a component B, for example in the form of a concentrate, such as crop protection agents, beverage syrup or the like.
- a collar 6 protruding into the bottle neck 1, the cup 7 and the lid 8 are used.
- the bottle neck 1 starts from a partially illustrated bottle 2 in a step-shaped shoulder.
- the latter serves to hold a liquid component A.
- the bottle neck is provided with a saw thread 3, the lower flank of which is set steeper than the upper flank.
- the bottle neck 1 contains two diametrically opposed, uniformly molded strips 4, which start approximately at the middle of the bottle neck 1 and run into the transition area between bottle neck 1 and bottle 2.
- the cross-sectional shape the strip 4 is shown in FIG. 11. There it can be seen that the strips 4 are profiled approximately triangular in cross-section such that the shorter sides of the triangle lie in the radial and form stop shoulders.
- the collar 6 of the bottle cap 5 has a smaller-diameter collar wall 9, which merges with an outwardly directed, frustoconical transition zone 10 into a cylindrical collar wall 11 of larger diameter such that a Z-profile results in cross section.
- the smaller-diameter collar wall 9 is provided with a thread 12, which interacts with a corresponding counter thread 13 from the inner wall of the cup 7.
- the thread it is a two-start left-hand thread, which is designed in opposite directions to the bottle screw-on thread 14 of the bottle cap 5.
- the bottle screw-on thread 14 is located on a neck collar 15 which is concentric with the smaller-diameter collar wall 9 and which starts from the larger-diameter collar wall 11. However, the neck collar 15 is in turn larger than the larger-diameter collar wall 11.
- the corresponding counter-rotation of the threads is used to unscrew the cup 7 from the smaller-diameter collar wall 9 when the closure cap 5 is screwed on.
- locking means 7 are inserted between the bottle neck 1 and the cup 7.
- the one holding the cup 7 Coupling engagement only occurs after a screwing-on movement of approx. 360 °, in a phase in which the thread engagement between the neck collar 15 and the bottle neck 1 is present. Since the strips 4 only start halfway up the bottle neck 1, the area in front of it on the mouth side does not act as a rotation lock. After the mutually facing ends of the projections 16 and the strips 4 have overrun, the coupling engagement results from the thread.
- the free end face 9 'of the smaller-diameter collar wall engages in an annular groove 17 of the cup 7.
- the annular groove 17 is formed by a central insertion of the cup base 18.
- the edge region of the cup base 18 is U-shaped, as seen in cross section.
- the front end 9 ' is reduced in thickness at least beyond the dimension of the groove depth, specifically by removing the collar wall 9 on the jacket wall side.
- the reduced-wall end 11 'of the larger-diameter collar wall 11 engages in a form-fitting and sealing manner in an annular groove 19 on the inside of the cover.
- the cover 8 covers the cylindrical collar wall 11 of larger diameter with a cylindrical cover wall 20.
- the cover wall 20 forms an internal thread 21, which cooperates with an external thread 22 of the larger-diameter collar wall 11.
- This turnstile is designed in the form of a tooth engagement 23, which is located at the level of the transition zone 10.
- the anti-rotation lock it is an elastic anti-rotation toothing, so that Unscrewing the bottle cap 5 of the collar 6 is taken.
- the unscrewing movement is achieved at the level of the transition zone in that the end edge 20 'of the cover wall 20 comes into contact with a circumferential transverse step 24 of the neck collar 15.
- the aforementioned annular groove 19 is formed by the fact that an annular collar 26 extends from the cover plate 25 in the same material and runs concentrically with the axis of the closure cap. In this way, the cover plate 25 can be dimensioned relatively thin, increasing the storage space for component B.
- the bottle cap 5 can be placed on the cover plate 25, so that the smaller-diameter collar wall 9 faces upward with its opening.
- the filling then takes place, and then the cup 7 is screwed on in a cap-like manner from above via a feed device.
- the other possibility of filling is that the cup 7 is previously screwed on in a liquid-tight manner.
- the lid 8 then does not yet close the receiving space of the bottle closure cap 5. After filling the receiving space with component B, the lid 8 is put on by screwing on.
- the bottle cap 5 is further screwed on via the rotary position according to FIG. 1, the projections 16 arranged on the cup jacket wall coming into non-rotatable but axially displaceable coupling engagement with the bottle neck-side strips 4.
- the cup 7 which falls into the interior of the bottle, is unscrewed, see FIG. 12 Unscrewing the bottle cap 5 this has then entered the bottle neck 1 even in a sealing manner, in that a sealing collar 27 formed onto the transition zone 10 moves into the mouth of the bottle neck 1 and presses against the elastic inner edge there.
- the mixed liquid can be poured out, for example, by unscrewing the bottle cap 5 and thereby exposing the bottle neck opening.
- a second bottle neck and a second bottle cap to bottle 2, which is not equipped with a cup.
- the bottle cap 5 is then on this second bottle neck, while the first bottle neck 1 is sealed in a liquid-tight manner by the other cap.
- Mixing the components only requires swapping the two bottle caps. For the user, therefore, the instruction of changing the caps is sufficient to bring about the mixing.
- the collar 6 has a collar wall 9 of smaller diameter, which merges into a cylindrical collar wall 11 of larger diameter via an outwardly directed, frustoconical transition zone 10. Based solely on the configuration of the collar wall 11, transition zone 10 and smaller-diameter collar wall 9, an overall Z-shaped profile is given in cross section, the Z-connecting web being shifted obliquely towards the front contrary to the letter design.
- the larger diameter Collar wall 11 is provided on the inside with a thread 40, which allows a cover 41 illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8 to be screwed on.
- approximately triangular overflow cams 42 are formed in cross section, which, when the cover 41 is screwed on, prevent the cover 41 from being unscrewed in the event of a rotary grip, so that in this case, too, a rotary lock acting in the unscrewing direction between the cover 41 and the collar wall 11 is present.
- the cylindrical collar wall 11 of larger diameter is provided on the inside with the overflow cams 42. On the outside it is smooth in the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
- a rib 43 is formed for better handling.
- the overflow cams 42 are located on the upper edge of the collar wall 11, that is to say the edge region 44, which is again reduced in cross-section compared to the collar wall 11, but is externally aligned with it, essentially vertically.
- the overflow cams 42 also have an upper, inclined triangular surface.
- a sealing collar 45 is arranged above the transition zone 10. This is arranged in an axial extension, albeit slightly offset to the outside, to a lower sealing collar 37 of the transition zone 10.
- the transition region 10 initially runs obliquely and then into a substantially horizontal one Extent passes.
- the connection area between the upper cylindrical collar wall 11 and the lower neck collar 15 is made thicker in terms of wall thickness.
- the upper sealing collar 45 serves to form a groove for enclosing a sealing lip 46 on the cover 41.
- FIG. 3 shows a top view of the object according to FIG. 2.
- the triangular design of the overflow cams 42 can be seen in particular.
- vertically extending ribs are formed on the inside of the smaller-diameter collar wall 9, specifically four ribs 47 distributed over the circumference.
- 4 and 5 represent an individual representation of a bottle neck 1, on which such a closure cap, in particular in the previously described second embodiment, can be screwed, for example.
- 6 to 8 show the cover 41 which can be used in this second embodiment.
- This has a cap surface 48 which forms a circumferential groove 49 on the edge.
- a screw collar 50 which is designed with the cap surface 48 in relation to the groove 49 mentioned as a whole Y-shaped.
- the screw collar 50 has an external thread which is designed to match the thread 40.
- the sealing lip 46 adjoins below the screw collar 50.
- FIG. 8 shows a top view of the object according to FIG. 6. It is in particular the dimensional relationships the mentioned groove 49 and the other design of the cap surface 48.
- Fig. 9 the third embodiment of the bottle cap is shown. Its core part corresponds to that of the second embodiment. This results in a further enlarged recording space.
- the bottle-like cover 41 ' can be designed as a glass part.
- the same components have the same reference numbers.
- the collar 6 'lacks a neck collar molded onto the same material. This is replaced by the fact that the cover 28 continues downward over the wall area 11 of larger diameter and is equipped on the inside with a continuous internal thread 29 for screwing onto the bottle neck 1.
- the collar wall 11 and bottle neck 1 are aligned with one another.
- the collar wall 11 of larger diameter is equipped with inner radial locking projections 32 arranged in the same circumferential distribution. They have an approximately triangular cross-section with a stop shoulder lying in the radial 33. The latter work together with counter shoulders 34 of driver webs 35, which start on the inside from a cover plate 36. On the first part of their length, they are made of the same material with a ring collar 26 'on the inside of the cover, while the remaining part protrudes freely into the inside of the collar. 14 shows that the driver webs 35 also have a triangular cross section, the two longer triangular sides being arcuate.
- a sealing collar 37 is provided on the transition zone 10, which engages in a sealing manner in the bottle neck 1 when the bottle cap 31 is completely screwed on and the cup 7 is unscrewed.
