Definitions

  • the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, with a
  • Vacuum chamber with a motor-driven blower generating a vacuum in the vacuum chamber, the suction opening of which opens into the vacuum chamber, and with one connected to the vacuum chamber
  • Such vacuum cleaners are known in many versions.
  • a filter usually a filter bag, must be provided in the vacuum chamber, which retains the dust.
  • this filter consists either of a textile material, for example a fleece, or of an air-permeable paper material. In any case, the filter must be permeable to air, since otherwise no vacuum can be generated by the fan in the vacuum chamber.
  • a certain air throughput through the filter is absolutely necessary, since otherwise the negative pressure is too low and the motor driving the blower is not sufficiently cooled by the air conveyed by the blower and therefore suffers damage. This has the consequence that the fine dust particles are torn through the filter and are thrown back through the air outlet openings of the blower back into the room from which the dust is to be removed by means of the vacuum cleaner.
  • the connection of several filters in series, as is provided for individual vacuum cleaners, does not eliminate this disadvantage.
  • Bacteria and viruses in particular are also not retained by the filters of known vacuum cleaners, but rather get back into the room to be cleaned and are swirled there together with the air emerging from the air outlet openings, so that the use of the known vacuum cleaners, for example in hospitals, has significant disadvantages
  • the use of the known vacuum cleaners is also particularly disadvantageous in rooms where there are people who suffer from dust allergies, and in rooms that house computer systems.
  • the object of the present invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the known vacuum cleaners and to create a vacuum cleaner in which practically all of the vacuum cleaner is sucked dust is retained, so no small particles can escape again through the air outlet openings of the blower.
  • the invention proposes that a liquid container connected to the vacuum chamber is provided below the vacuum chamber, that the suction line runs upwards from its mouth in the bottom region of the liquid container, and that above the mouth of the suction line in the liquid container runs transversely to the upward Suction line arranged, only over a part of the cross section of the liquid container extending slats are provided, with adjacent slats partially overlapping each other.
  • the inventive design of the vacuum cleaner has the advantage that the dust sucked in via the suction line reaches a liquid bath and mixes there with the liquid and finally settles as sludge on the bottom of the liquid container. This also applies to fine dust particles as well as bacteria, viruses or the like. which are thus bound in the liquid and are no longer thrown back into the room to be cleaned.
  • Adjacent lamellae are expediently fastened to the wall of the liquid container at opposite points thereof, so that a long, meandering flow path of the air in the liquid is achieved, thereby ensuring that the liquid is completely calmed.
  • the free edge of the lamellae is provided with a projection projecting downwards, which likewise causes the air particles to break apart.
  • Optimal results are achieved if the lower end of the attachment is bent back in the direction of the attachment point of the lamella, so that movement of the air bubbles by sliding the lower end of the attachment is largely avoided.
  • a partition wall extending over the entire cross section of the liquid container can be provided at the upper end of the liquid container, in which, preferably in the middle, an opening opening into the vacuum chamber is arranged. It expediently extends from the partition wall, preferably cylindrical, around the opening downward, ie in the direction of the liquid container.
  • a cover arranged at a distance from the partition can be provided according to the invention, which is preferably attached to the partition by spacers.
  • the edge of the cover is expediently angled downward, as a result of which the liquid film forming on the cover is retained.

  • Liquid mist can separate the liquid contained therein if the escape of completely dry air through the air outlet openings of the blower is required, which is not necessary, however be that the suction opening of the fan is covered by an air-permeable water separation screen.
  • This water separating screen can consist of a textile or paper material or a fine-meshed metal screen.
  • the blower is preferably arranged in the cover of the vacuum chamber and the suction opening is formed by a tubular extension part running in the direction of the opening of the partition, which likewise prevents any liquid particles that may still be penetrating into the blower or the blower motor.

From this partition wall 18, a cylindrical connecting piece 20 surrounding the opening 19 extends downwards. A cover 21 is provided above the opening 19 and is fastened to the partition 18 via spacers 22. The edge 23 of the cover 21 is angled downwards.
  • the attachment part 7 is from a water separating screen 24 surrounded, which is connected to the cover 2 interchangeably and can consist of an air-permeable textile or paper material or a fine-meshed metal sieve.
  • the design of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention enables practically complete separation of even the finest dust particles as well as existing bacteria, viruses or the like.
