Definitions
- the invention relates to a stair element for a cantilevered staircase with a central spar according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the central strut consists of several interconnected stair elements, to each of which a step plate is attached and which are designed as hollow bodies.
- the hollow bodies each have a first, essentially cylindrical wall part arranged under the tread plate and a second wall part arranged in front of the tread plate.
- the first wall part has a horizontal inner wall and a cylindrical extension adjoining it downwards, with which the first wall part of a stair element can be plugged onto the second wall part of the adjacent stair element, which is also provided with a horizontal inner wall.
- the two inner walls can be screwed together by means of a screw bolt which can be pushed through bores in the inner walls for connecting two adjacent stair elements.
- the second wall part is conical and has wedge-shaped recessed wall sections, as a result of which, in the assembled state, wedge-shaped gaps are formed between the two wall parts, into which wedges are inserted.
- the wedges are previously fixed on the bevelled outer surfaces of the second wall part with the help of retaining rings.
- An annular disk is also provided between the horizontal inner wall of the first wall part and the parts.
- the stair element according to US-A-4 619 084 consists of a large number of individual parts, which not only makes the manufacture and assembly more complex, but also creates the risk of instability in the overall construction.
- a stair element is known, each having an upper and at the other end a lower horizontal ring surface at one end.
- a shaft with an external thread projects inside the upper ring surface and immediately after it.
- the shaft protrudes through the opening within the lower ring surface of the adjacent stair element.
- a threaded sleeve can be screwed onto the threaded shaft, which engages at the edge of the opening within the lower ring surface.
- the external thread of the shaft must be cut in a separate operation, and the threaded sleeve must be manufactured separately.
- the assembly of the stairs requires specialist personnel and special tools.
- the object of the present invention is to design a stair element of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that manufacture is simpler and cheaper, assembly is simpler, and self-construction is possible without special knowledge and special tools being necessary.
- the stair element according to the invention is cast from spheroidal cast iron in one operation; the provision of a thread on the stair element is not necessary, so that the stair element can be manufactured very inexpensively. If desired, a thread can also be provided.
- a wrench also preferably a torque wrench, which is also commercially available. This simplifies the assembly of the stairs, so that it is also possible to manufacture the stairs yourself.
- the inventive design enables very low processing costs, so that the assembly of the stairs can still be done inexpensively even with increasing labor costs. Because of the simple self-assembly, the staircase can be made accessible to a wide range of consumers through hardware stores and hardware stores.
- the connection points of the stair elements have a high stability because the conical design of the inner wall of the first cylindrical wall part leads the high forces that occur when the screw bolts are tightened to the outside into the area of the wall of the stair elements.
- the drawing shows a stair element 2, consisting of a cast hollow body made of nodular cast iron.
- the stair element has a first cylindrical wall part 4 arranged on the underside of the tread plate and a second cylindrical wall part 6 which is arranged in front of the tread plate 8.
- the wall parts 4 and 6 are connected to one another by an intermediate piece 10, which has a closed, essentially semicircular lower wall 12 and a flat upper wall part 14, the surface of which is flush with the surfaces of lateral flanges 16, 18 which extend from the upper part of the first cylindrical wall part 4 and extend to a lesser extent from the intermediate piece 10 and serve to place and fasten the step plate 8.
- the first cylindrical wall part 4 has a horizontal, conical inner wall 20 with a central bore 22.
- a cylindrical projection 24 adjoins this inner wall 20 at the bottom.
- the conical inner wall 20 has an annular shoulder 26 at the transition to the neck 24.
- the second cylindrical wall part 6 has a cylindrical shaft 28 which projects upwards above the flat upper wall part 14 and whose free end is closed by a wall 30 in which a central bore 32 is formed.
- this wall 30 can also be designed to be complementary conical to the conical design of the inner wall 20, as shown in dashed lines in FIG 1 is indicated, cf.
- the conical wall 30 ' forms, together with the shaft end, a support ring surface 33 for the ring shoulder 26.
- the inside diameter of the cylindrical extension 24 is essentially equal to the outside diameter of the cylindrical shaft 28.
- Spacers 36 can be used between the stair elements to be connected for height compensation and for setting any desired step height, cf. Fig. 1.
- the bores 32 and 32 ' can be designed as threaded bores into which the screw bolt 34 can be screwed for connecting two stair elements; this further simplifies assembly.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- Fig. 3
Fig. 1.
