Definitions

  • the invention relates to a roller shutter box for receiving a winding shaft for a roller shutter curtain and with two lateral guide rails connected to the roller shutter casing for the lowered roller shutter curtain, the roller shutter casing being closed at the two lateral end faces in each case by an aperture cap which is connected to the box walls (cf. for example FR-A-2533617).
  • roller shutters burglar-resistant In order to make roller shutters burglar-resistant, a wide variety of measures have already been proposed, in particular securing against unauthorized pushing up of the roller shutter curtain from the outside and against unscrewing the guide rails of the roller shutter curtain from the door or window frame when the roller shutter curtain is lowered. So far, however, the fact that the roller shutter box connected at the top with the guide rails is not sufficiently secured against unauthorized interference has not been taken into account. So far, it has been possible with relatively simple tools and corresponding force to disassemble parts of the box walls of the roller shutter box or to tear down the entire roller shutter box from the guide rails. This made it generally possible to pull up the roller shutter curtain when the guide rails were installed, which should be avoided in order to prevent break-ins.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a roller shutter box secured against unauthorized handling or removal of the roller shutter box.
  • this is achieved in that in the region of the lateral guide rails there is in each case a reinforcement which is guided around the outside of the box walls and which is firmly connected to the respective guide rail.
  • the reinforcements arranged in the two lateral edge areas of the roller shutter box are capable of being provided there Cover fasteners, such as screws or rivets, which are used to connect the side panel caps to the box walls, on the outside.
  • Cover fasteners such as screws or rivets
  • the massive reinforcement which according to a preferred embodiment can consist of a steel band led around the box walls, completely encloses the box walls and holds them firmly together. It is practically impossible to tear the box walls off the side cover caps.
  • the reinforcement according to the invention can also be retrofitted to existing roller shutter boxes.
  • FIG. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a roller shutter box including guide rails with reinforcements according to the invention at the two end regions of the roller shutter box.
  • FIG. 2 shows a schematic sectional view along the line AA of FIG. 1 to show the winding shaft and the roller shutter in the interior of the roller shutter box, the box walls and the reinforcement according to the invention not being shown.
  • FIG. 3 shows a schematic sectional view along the line AA of FIG. 1, the guide rails and the winding shaft, together with the roller shutter curtain, not being shown.
  • FIG. 4 shows a view from below of the correspondingly curved steel strip of FIG. 3 serving as reinforcement.
  • FIG. 5 shows a view in the direction of arrow X of FIG. 3 the rear of the roller shutter box.
  • FIG. 6 shows a schematic sectional view along the line BB of FIG. 1, the box walls and the guide rail not being shown.
  • FIG. 7 shows a section of the guide rail which can be pushed onto the roller shutter box shown in FIG. 6 from below and then connected to the reinforcement.
  • FIG. 8 shows the profiled cross section of the guide rail of FIG. 7 in a section along the line CC of FIG. 7.
  • the roller shutter box shown in FIG. 1 serves to receive a winding shaft 2 for the roller shutter curtain 3 shown in FIG. 2, of which only three elements are shown in FIG. 1 for the sake of clarity.
  • two lateral guide rails 4 made of aluminum profiles are provided, which have a slot 5 or a groove for actually guiding the roller shutter curtain.
  • the guide rails 4 can, for example, be screwed to the window frame by means of screws (not shown), a steel bolt upstream of each screw head, which is only accessible when the roller shutter curtain is open, and can prevent the guide rails from being unscrewed from the outside when the roller shutter is lowered.
  • the roller shutter armor 3 can be brought via locking elements 6, which can only be pivoted relative to one another in a limited angular range, and a steel band spring 7 drawn into this can be brought into the locking shutter shown in FIG. 3, in which pushing up the roller shutter armor from the outside is impossible.
  • roller shutter box 1 which - as can be seen in FIG. 3 - has, for example, three box walls 8a, 8b and 8c made of aluminum - of which the box walls 8b and 8c are extruded - which, for example, on the two lateral end faces existing die-cast aluminum cover caps 9 are completed and thus form a substantially closed shutter box 1.
  • the cover caps 9 advantageously have in the roller shutter box Ridges 9a extending into it, against which the box walls 8a-c abut and with which the box walls are connected by means of fastening elements (sheet metal screws 10 or steel rivets 11) which are passed through the outside of the box walls (FIG. 3).
  • a reinforcement 12 which is guided around the outside of the box walls 8a-c and is firmly connected to the respective guide rail 4, is now provided in the region of the two lateral guide rails 4.
  • An advantageous dimensioning of the metal strip consists in a thickness of about 1-3, z. B. 2 mm and in a width of about 3-6, z. B. 5 cm in the area of the box walls.
  • the reinforcements 12 according to the invention at both ends of the roller shutter box 1 not only cover these fasteners 10 and 11, but also hold the box walls 8a-c firmly together by circumferentially enclosing the entire roller shutter box, so that their connection via the profiled wall areas is secured and a violent opening (tearing down) of the box walls can be avoided.
  • the steel strip 12 serving as reinforcement according to the invention is connected on the one hand to the guide rail on the rear side in the assembled state, facing the door or window frame.
  • rivets 14 can be provided (cf. also FIG. 5, which shows a rear view of the roller shutter box).
  • the steel strip 12 is inside the guided guide rail 4 and attached or held there. This means that the steel strips do not have any externally accessible fastening elements that could be handled.
  • a body 15 is welded onto the end of the steel strip, which body can be inserted in a form-fitting manner into a tubular profiled region 16 of the guide rail 4 and into it Area fits practically positively (see also Fig. 8).
  • Fig. 8 which shows a section along the line CC of Fig. 7 through a guide rail 4, it can also be seen that the guide rail in addition to the groove 5 for guiding the roller shutter curtain and the tubular profiled area for the body 15 also one has another tubular profiled area 17.
  • a suitable extension 18 of the cover cap 9 for example shown in FIGS.
  • the metal strip 12 serving as reinforcement preferably with a reduced width, continues continuously over part of the rear side of the guide rail and there connects it to the extension 18 via the rivets 14 is.
  • This provides additional protection against tearing down the entire roller shutter box from the guide rails, reliably preventing the extension 18 from breaking off.
  • the steel band 12 can preferably have a passage opening 20 (FIG. 5) for the passage of a crank or another actuating device of the winding shaft, preferably on the rear side, which is difficult to access.
