Definitions

  • the invention relates to a shower partition with a lighting fixture arranged above partition walls or doors of the shower partition.
  • a shower partition is already known from DE-OS 39 07 607, which is equipped with lighting devices both above the partition walls and on a swivel element which has a mirror.
  • the lighting device serves in particular to optimally illuminate the pivoting element, namely the mirror arranged thereon, even when the pivoting element is pivoted. Otherwise, the lighting devices are not designed for uniform illumination of the shower room.
  • the present invention has for its object to propose a shower enclosure with a lighting fixture, the attachment and shape of which is geared to the special requirements of shower enclosures and enables particularly uniform and effective lighting.
  • a flat lighting fixture which is adapted to the course of the shower partition, extends over the entire width of the shower partition and in its transverse extension one the partitions and doors covering at the top and this in the transverse direction inwardly and / or outwardly projecting collar portion, which is equipped with lights, the beam directions are directed downwards.
  • Such a shower partition has the great advantage that the lighting fixture is installed at a point where it does not interfere and enables particularly effective lighting both of the interior and outside of the shower partition, or one of the two, usually in conjunction with the transparent or translucent material existing shower screens special aesthetic lighting effects are possible.
  • an advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the lighting body is approximately T-shaped in cross section, the vertical T-leg is attached above the partitions and doors, and that the two horizontal legs form the collar section and are equipped with lights.
  • the shower partition can be illuminated from both sides by essentially vertically radiating lamps.
  • the lighting fixture has an approximately inverted L-shape in cross section, the vertical L-leg is attached above the partitions and doors, and that the horizontal L-leg is equipped with lights and the partitions and doors to the outside or towered inside as a collar section.
  • the shower enclosure can be illuminated from one side or the other. If the downward-facing lights are designed to be adjustable by a limited swivel angle, it is also possible to illuminate the area on the opposite side from one side of the shower partition, and quite generally targeted lighting effects can be produced.
  • the shape of the elongated, flat lighting fixture can be adapted to a wide variety of shower trays or shower partition forms. If it is a so-called corner circular shower, the lighting fixture has the shape of a quarter-circle arc with subsequent straight sections on both sides. If the shower partition has a straight shape, for example if it is arranged between two fixed walls with a shower tray in between, then that is Lighting fixture designed as an elongated, straight and flat lighting fixture. In the case of a square or rectangular shower tray with a corner entry for the shower partition, the lighting fixture would be L-shaped or angled with the corresponding leg lengths in accordance with the shower partition. In all cases, the shape of the lighting fixture is therefore adapted to the course of the shower partition, so that it can be arranged inconspicuously and not disruptively above the upper edge.
  • the lighting fixture in a corresponding form, is only attached to the fixed room walls above the shower partition. If the shower partition has an upper support beam, the lighting fixture expediently rests on the upper support beam and extends to the fixed walls, where it can be attached. Finally, it is also possible to design the lighting fixture itself as the upper support beam of a shower partition, in which the lights and corresponding mounting elements of the shower partition are integrated.
  • the lights installed in the lighting fixture are low-voltage lights, especially halogen lights. These lights are expediently distributed over the entire length of the lighting fixture in order to enable particularly uniform lighting.
  • a shower partition 2 placed on a shower tray 1 is shown schematically.
  • the shower tray 1 and the shower partition 2 are designed as so-called corner showers, i.e. they are arranged in a corner between two room walls 4.
  • the shower partition 2 consists of two fixed partitions 2a (only one is shown in FIG. 1) and two pivoting doors 2b and 2c suspended from these fixed partitions 2a via hinges 10, which meet in the middle and close off from one another.
  • the shower partition is only attached to the room walls 4, so that no upper support beam is required.
  • a lighting fixture 3 is arranged above the shower partition 2 and in the present case is only fastened to the room walls 4 by wall brackets (not shown).
  • the lighting fixture 3 has an elongated, flat shape in the width dimension of the shower partition, which is adapted to the course of the shower partition 2 indicated by dash-dotted lines.
  • This flat lighting fixture 3 has such a transverse extension B that in the present example according to FIGS. 1 and 2 it projects beyond the shower partition inwards and outwards by corresponding collar sections.
  • the lighting element 3 is T-shaped in cross section, with a vertical leg 3a and two horizontal legs 3b and 3c, both of which form the aforementioned collar sections.
  • 4 is the vertical leg 3a provided with an L-shaped extension 3d in order to obtain a wider lower surface with a smaller material width of the vertical leg 3a.
  • the open side of the L-shaped vertical leg 3a is expediently directed towards the outside of the shower partition 2.
  • lights 5 are shown schematically in the horizontal legs 3d and 3c projecting beyond the shower partition 2 on both sides, the beam directions of which are directed downwards.
  • the lights 5 are preferably designed as low-voltage halogen lights, which generate a relatively large light intensity with a relatively small installation depth. These lights 5 illuminate both the exterior and the interior opposite the shower partition 2.
  • the elongated, flat lighting fixture 3 is adapted to the shape of a round corner shower. It consists of a quarter-circle arc 30 and two adjoining straight sections 31 and 32. At the ends of these straight sections 31 and 32, wall brackets 8 are indicated, with which the lighting fixture 3 can be attached to the room walls 4. From FIGS. 2 and 3 it can be seen that three lights 5 are provided both outside and inside. With this number of lights, a relatively uniform illumination of both the interior and the exterior of the shower partition 2 can be achieved.
  • the lighting fixture 3 can either, as can be seen in FIGS. 1, 3 and 5, be fastened above and independently of the partition walls and doors 2a-2c of the shower partition 2 on the room walls 4 without touching the shower partition 2. This solution is chosen if the shower partition 2 does not have an upper support beam. However, if the shower partition 2 has an upper support beam 66 (see FIG. 4), the underside of the lighting fixture 3 can lie on the upper support beam 6 and only needs to be fixed to the room walls 4.
  • FIG. 4 shows a lighting fixture 3 with a T-shaped profile
  • FIG. 5 shows an alternative form of an elongated, flat lighting fixture 3 which does not have such a vertical leg 3a.
  • no support beam is drawn below the lighting fixture 3, but the shower partition 2 is located at a short distance from the underside of the lighting fixture 3.
  • This embodiment too like that according to FIG. 4, contains lights 5 both on the inside and on the outside of the shower enclosure 2.
  • FIG. 6 now shows a further embodiment of the lighting fixture 3, which has an inverted L-shape, with the inner horizontal leg 3b practically missing compared to the embodiment according to FIG. 4.
  • lights 5 are, for example, only on the outside of the indicated shower partition 2 provided.
  • FIG. 7 now shows an embodiment of a lighting fixture 13 which is designed as an upper support beam for the shower partition 2. It has a shape similar to the embodiment according to FIG. 5, but between the two lights 5 guide elements 7 are provided, with which the upper end of the separating elements (e.g. sliding doors) of the shower partition 2 are guided. It is therefore practically an upper support beam 13, in which both the lights 5 and the mounting or guide elements 7 are integrated.
  • a lighting fixture 13 which is designed as an upper support beam for the shower partition 2.
  • the lights 5 can either be arranged on both sides (FIGS. 4, 5 and 7), or only on the outside or inside (FIG. 6), and they can either be arranged above a shower partition 2 without an upper support beam or on the upper support beam 6 lie on.
  • the lights 5, which are directed downwards in their beam directions, can expediently also be adjustable by a pivot angle 9 relative to the vertical direction, as indicated in FIG. 7. In this way, it is possible to specifically direct the light rays along or through the shower partition 2, which is special Effects of light.
  • This adjustability of the lights 5 is particularly advantageous in the embodiment according to FIG. 6, in which there are only 2 lights 5 on one side of the shower partition. If the lights 5 are directed more steeply onto the (transparent or translucent) shower partition 2, they fall through them and also illuminate the room on the other side.
  • both the shower tray 1 and the shower partition 2 and the lighting fixture 3 have a round corner shape, it is of course possible to adapt the lighting fixture 3 to practically any shower tray and shower partition shapes.
  • a square or rectangular shower tray e.g. not arranged in a corner, but between two room walls, the lighting fixture is designed in a straight, flat shape. If a square or rectangular shower tray is installed in a corner between two room walls, there is an angled or L-shape for the lighting fixture. Other configurations are possible.
  • the lighting fixture 3 is supplied with power via an isolating transformer, which is arranged in an electrically safe manner at a suitable point and is connected to the lighting fixture 3 via low-voltage lines.
