Definitions
- the innovation relates to a self-propelled harvesting machine with a drive motor, a cooler with cooler fan and a sieve device assigned to the latter for retaining dirt particles present in the sucked-in cooling air, the rotating sieve device in the area of the air intake side being assigned a suction housing which is at least partially open to the sieve device and whose effective suction surface is smaller than the air inlet area of the rotating screen device.
- a self-propelled combine harvester which has a rotating sieve device which is arranged upstream of the engine cooler and the fan of the drive engine.
- the purpose of such a rotating sieve device is to retain protective particles from the air drawn in by the motor fan, so that the water cooler arranged between the sieve device and the fan does not become clogged with dust and dirt.
- a bypass channel is provided which bypasses the cooler and ends with its one open end directly in front of the suction side of the fan and opens into a suction housing, which on the Air supply side of the rotating sieve device is mounted close to it and is open on its side facing the sieve device.
- the innovation is based, starting from a harvester of the type specified in the introduction, on the problem of suctioning off and removing the dirt particles settling on the suction side of a rotating sieve device in such a way that neither contaminations of the harvester nor a risk of fire due to contaminants which form themselves occur, without complicated and expensive air guidance systems to have to be provided in the interior of the engine compartment because of the small available installation space.
- this is achieved in that the suction housing is connected via an outer pipe to the suction side of a blower acting on the crop.
- This blower can be, for example, the pressure wind blower assigned to the screening device of a combine harvester. Since the amount of dust in the area of such a fan is very high anyway, the dust particles conveyed by the housing from the area of the rotating sieve device upstream of the engine cooler are of little importance anyway.
- the harvesting machine is a chopper known per se with a post-accelerator arranged in its discharge chute, the suction housing assigned to the rotating sieve device being connected via a line to the suction side of the post-accelerator, for example the rotating sieve device is arranged between the engine compartment and the line.
- the connection from the post-accelerator to the rotating screening device is very simple and, on the other hand, the air flow is released directly through the outlet pipe without polluting any machine parts with dust.
- a self-propelled forage harvester which in a known manner has front material intake elements 2, which are followed by the actual chopping unit 3.
- the material comminuted by this chopping unit 3 arrives at a pair of conditioning rollers 4 through which the chopped material is crushed.
- a post-accelerator 6 is provided behind the pair of conditioning rollers 4, viewed in the conveying direction. It essentially consists of a drivable Axis 7 and its associated conveyor strips 8, the conveyor strips 8 being at a distance from the axis 7.
- the conveyor strips act mechanically on the crops fed to them by the conditioning roller pair and fling the latter out through the ejection channel 5 with sufficient energy.
- the post-accelerator 6 is designed as part of the ejection channel 5.
- a line 9 is connected to the suction side of this post-accelerator, and its other end is connected to a housing 10.
- the latter is assigned to a rotating sieve device 11 and covers both a part of its end face 12 and a part of its jacket 13, the housing on its side facing the rotating sieve device 11 being completely open or at least having openings so that dust and contaminants pass through the line 9 can be suctioned off. This ensures that, on the one hand, the rotating sieve device cannot become clogged and, on the other hand, the engine compartment 14 does not become dirty, since the extracted particles with the chopped material leave the machine compartment via the ejection channel.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 2 Einzelheiten des in Fig. 1 dargestellten Feldhäckslers in vergrößerter Darstellung.
