Definitions

  • the invention relates to a vandal-resistant push-button element with a guide ring, which has a first inner cylindrical guide surface and a second inner cylindrical guide surface, along which, when actuated, a push button slides, which actuates a switch on its actuation path limited by a second shoulder and a stop arranged on the guide ring , whereby spring forces emanating from the switch press the push button in the rest position in the counter-actuation direction until a spring clip is present at one end of the guide ring.
  • a vandal resistant push button arrangement with a push button running in a guide ring is known.
  • the push button and the guide ring have a spherical surface which is delimited by an operator-side opening in a front plate carrying the push button arrangement.
  • the operator-side opening of the front panel merges in steps into an opening on the switch side, the opening on the switch side being tapered relative to the opening on the operator side.
  • the step-like transition from one opening to the other opening forms a circular shoulder on which the guide ring rests and on which forces acting in the direction of the switch are transmitted to the front panel.
  • the guide ring is on the operator side Periphery designed so that it can be inserted precisely into the circular shoulder, with its spherical surface seamlessly merging with the surface of the front panel.
  • a wire-shaped spring clip engages, which is half in a groove running around the guide ring.
  • the spring clip forms a detachable connection between the front plate and the guide ring.
  • the guide ring has an opening on the operator side and an opening tapered on the switch side with respect to the operator-side opening.
  • the step-like transition from one guide ring opening to the other guide ring opening forms a circular shoulder which limits the movement of the push button in the direction of the switch.
  • the operator-side end of the push button is designed such that it is guided in the operator-side opening of the guide ring and can be displaced up to the circular shoulder, the tapered opening serving as the second guide surface.
  • a wire-shaped spring clip engages on the back of the guide ring and lies half in a groove surrounding the push button.
  • a spring force emanating from the switch presses the push button at the point of the spring clip against the guide ring, so that the spherical surface of the push button merges seamlessly with the spherical surface of the guide ring.
  • a disadvantage of the known device is the costly manufacture of the front panel. In a first step, the openings for the guide rings are punched out of the front plate. A second step is necessary to emboss the opening ends. In addition, certain material thicknesses and certain material hardnesses are necessary to carry out this method. Another disadvantage is that the front panel carrying the switch arrangement is open on or in existing wall elements must be used, which in turn affects the aesthetic appearance of the wall.
  • the invention seeks to remedy this.
  • the invention as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of avoiding the disadvantages of the known device and designing vandal-resistant push-button elements in a modular design such that they can be integrated into existing wall elements serving as front panels.
  • the advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that, despite the low manufacturing costs, the protection against vandalism is improved by reinforcement which cannot be seen from the outside and protects the switch from violent damage, which in turn simplifies the choice of material for the front panel and the design options increased for the wall elements.
  • Another advantage can be seen in the fact that the material thickness of the front panels as well as the wall elements can be freely selected independently of the push button elements and that the front panels as well as the wall elements can be produced independently of the push button elements.
  • a retrospective installation of push button elements in existing wall elements is easily possible.
  • Fig. 1 denotes a mounting plate, which is at a distance 2 with a front plate 3 or Wall element 3 is connected. Screws (not shown) arranged on the front plate 3 or on the wall element 3 and spacers (not shown) or spacers (not shown) are provided as fastening means, by means of which the different material thicknesses of the front plates 3 or wall elements 3 can be adapted to the push-button elements. Covers of display and signaling devices or modular wall elements of, for example, elevator cars or wall claddings serve as front plates 3.
  • the mounting plate 1 made of sheet steel and the front plate 3 usually made of stainless steel have punched openings in which guide rings 4 are arranged.
  • the outer diameter of the guide rings 4 is tapered in a stepped manner in the axial switch direction, so that a contact surface in the form of a first shoulder 5 is created. Following the first shoulder 5, a first groove 6 is embedded in the tapered circumference of the guide rings 4. Forces acting in the direction of actuation are transmitted to the mounting plate 1 on the first shoulder 5. A disc-shaped retaining ring 7 inserted in the circumference of the first groove 6 and which is resiliently expandable connects the guide ring 4 to the mounting plate 1.
  • the punched openings in the mounting plate 1 are dimensioned such that a clearance 8 is created between the tapered diameter of the guide ring 4 and the mounting plate 1 , thanks to which the guide rings 4 can be aligned with the punched openings in the front plate 3, the mass of the retaining rings 7 being chosen such that the play 8 is covered in any case.
  • An inner cylindrical first guide surface 9 tapers at the end 10 of the guide ring 4 in a step-like manner into a second guide surface 11, the inward step serving as a stop 12 for limiting the actuation path.
  • 11 slides a push button 13 inserted into the guide ring 4, which actuates with its end 14 a switch (not shown).
  • the length of the actuation path is determined depending on the arrangement of a second stepped shoulder 15 on the periphery of the push button 13.
  • the second shoulder 15 moves up to the stop 12 of the guide ring 4, whereupon forces acting in the direction of the switch are transmitted to the stop 12 of the guide ring 4.
  • a second groove 16 is arranged, in which a wire-shaped spring clip 17 is inserted in half.
  • Spring forces emanating from the switch press the push button 13 in the counter-actuation direction until the spring clip 17 is present at the end 10 of the guide ring 4.
  • the spherical surface 18 of the push button 13 forms a seamless surface with the spherical surface 18 of the guide ring 4 on the operator side.
  • 1 shows a push-button element with a lens 19 for visualizing operating states. Push-button elements made of stainless steel or brass ensure excellent protection against vandalism.
