Abstract

Air-cooled grate surface, in particular for stoking grates in refuse incineration plants, two adjacently arranged grate bars in each case forming a flow channel, which is bounded by the grate bar back, the grate bar foot and its supporting webs and has an outlet to the combustion space through clearances arranged in the grate bar head. An improved cooling of the grate bar back is achieved and clogging of the air outlets by refuse and slag particles is avoided in the following way a) the air outlets formed by two clearances (7) have a cross-sectional widening in the direction of flow; b) the air outlets have an angle B = 5 DEG to 60 DEG with respect to the grate bar back (6) downwards in the direction of flow; c) the grate bar head (3) is bevelled from the top towards the rear and has from lateral edges (8) one or more clearances (7) arranged one above the other.

Description

The invention relates to an air-cooled grate covering mounted on cross members for feed grates, particularly in waste incineration plants, two grate bars arranged next to one another each forming a flow channel which is delimited by the grate bar bridges, the grate bar base and its supporting webs and has an outlet to the combustion chamber through recesses arranged in the grate bar head. wherein the grate bar head is chamfered from the top to the rear and from its lateral edges has a plurality of recesses arranged one above the other and above and between the recesses there are projections which extend over the entire width or depth of the grate bar, the through two recesses formed air outlets have an angle B = 5 ° to 60 ° to the grate bar down in the flow direction.

Such a grate has become known from DE-C-37 25 585. This known grate covering has proven itself well in operational use, but it can happen from time to time during the forward movement of the movable grate bar rows that garbage and / or slag particles penetrate into the air outlets of the grate bars and through the nozzle-shaped design of the air outlets (decreasing cross-section in the air flow direction ) get stuck and are carried along when the movable rows of grate bars move backwards. Due to the further back and forth movements of the movable grate bar rows, the garbage and / or the slag particles that have penetrated are pressed even further into the air outlets and clog them, with the result that the air distribution is impaired and the grate bars overheat and cause malfunctions.

The invention specified in claim 1 has for its object to provide a grate covering according to the preamble of claim 1, which reduces the risk of clogging of the air outlets.

This object is achieved on the basis of the measures of claim 1.

Due to the inventive design of the air outlets, which have a cross-sectional widening in the air flow direction, garbage and / or foreign bodies which penetrate into the air outlets during the forward movement of the movable grate bar rows are hardly carried along with the backward movement of the movable grate bar rows, but they detach from the air outlets, supported by the air flow, and fall down onto the fixed rows of grate bars, where they burn and the resulting ash is discharged.

Furthermore, since the air outlets are at an angle of up to 60 ° to the bottom of the grate bar, the penetration of garbage and / or slag particles is made more difficult and insofar as this actually occurs, the detachment is usually promoted when the rows of grate bars move backwards.

In summary, the design of the grate bars for cooling the grate bar and the trouble-free operation of a feed grate for a waste incineration plant has an advantageous effect.
