Le fonctionnement des moyens de verrouillage de la passerelle 1 se comprend aisément. L'opérateur doit procéder de la manière suivante à partir de la position repliée au sol de la passerelle 1 (fig. 3) :
- il ouvre le garde-
corps 3 qui pivote autour de ses axesde rotation 25e jusqu'à ce que chaque talon incliné 33a soit bloqué par son crochet 5 (fig. 2, 7 et 8) ; - il fixe le crochet d'une grue au moyen de commandes 10b solidaires du tube longitudinal 10 en traversant certaines planches 24 de la plateforme (fig. 6) ;
- il ouvre manuellement le crochet pivotant 9, afin de libérer le doigt de retenue 40d du
double hauban 40a (fig. 4) ; - à l'aide de la grue, il soulève la passerelle 1, ce qui provoque le pivotement d'un quart de tour du
tube 10 jusqu'à ce qu'il vienne buter contre les traverses 21a de manière à équilibrer les charges de traction ; ce soulévement implique le coulissement de la barre creuse 40c dans la glissière 22c jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit bloquée automatiquement en translation par le crochet 8 (fig. 2 et 5) ; - il amène la passerelle 1 à son emplacement d'utilisation, de sorte que la poutre longitudinale 21 s'engage dans les sabots 7 pré-installés contre le mur 6 ;
- il détache les moyens de commande 10b de manière à libérer le tube longitudinal 10, qui du fait de son propre poids pivote pour venir contre les sabots 7 afin d'être retenu par la butée horizontale 7b, réalisant ainsi le verrouillage de la passerelle 1 sur le mur 6 ;
- il règle en hauteur les supports
millimétriques 21c pour la mise en place des banches 21d ; - et il positionne les supports 25b dans la glissière 25a de manière à fixer les étais 25c pour maintenir les banches 21d.

bridge 1 to its place of use, so that thelongitudinal beam 21 engages in theshoes 7 pre-installed against the wall 6; - it detaches the control means 10 b so as to release the
longitudinal tube 10, which due to its own weight pivots to come against theshoes 7 so as to be retained by thehorizontal stop 7 b , thus achieving the locking of thegangway 1 on wall 6; - it adjusts the height of the millimeter supports 21 c for the installation of the
formwork 21 d ; - and it positions the
supports 25 b in theslide 25 a so as to fix the stays 25 c to hold theforms 21 d .
Pour le repliage de la passerelle 1, l'opérateur procède de la manière suivante :
- il retire les banches 21d et les étais 25c de la passerelle 1 ;

sabots 7, ledit tube venant en butée contre les traverses 21a du châssis 2 ; - il amène la passerelle 1 au contact du sol, de manière que le tube longitudinal 41 y repose ;
- il manoeuvre les
crochets 8 manuellement afin de libérer la barre creuse 40c des butées 8c et 8d ; - il descend
la passerelle 1 de façon à provoquer le coulissement des barres creuses 40c dans leur glissière 22c, jusqu'à ce que le doigt de retenue 40d de chacune d'elle soit en contact avec la partie inclinée 9b ducrochet 9 correspondant, afin de le faire pivoter autour de l'axe 90 jusqu'à ce que le doigt de retenue soit logé dans l'encoche 9a pour son verrouillage ; - il détache le crochet de la grue des moyens de commande 10b provoquant le retour du tube longitudinal 10 en position de repos ;
- et il appuie sur le crochet 5 afin de libérer le talon
33a du cadre 30 pour rabattre le garde-corps 3 sur la plate-forme de la passerelle 1 (flèche F2 de fig. 3).

longitudinal tube 10 to return to the rest position; - and it presses on the
hook 5 in order to release the heel 33 a from theframe 30 to fold therailing 3 onto the platform of the gangway 1 (arrow F2 in fig. 3).
