Description

The invention relates to an attachable to a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such an additional device is known from DE-AS 1 503 858. In this device, the application body consists of two pivotably arranged brushes, which are pivoted accordingly by their engagement in the carpet when the auxiliary device is moved back and forth. The engagement of the brushes results in a high sliding resistance. The relatively large surface area of the suction mouthpiece, which is acted upon by the vacuum, further contributes to its increase.

The invention has for its object to provide an additional device of the generic type in such a way that the force to be used for moving the device back and forth is as low as possible and the device as a whole is easy to use.

The problem is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1. By rolling the roller on the carpet to be cleaned, the sliding resistance when the auxiliary device is moved back and forth is reduced to a minimum. The negative pressure acts due to the action of the roller space with the ambient pressure only on a much smaller area of the mouthpiece, so that the mouthpiece is no longer pressed so strongly against the carpet and thus the necessary pushing force is further reduced.

The fact that the container is removably arranged on the suction pipe makes it easier to fill with cleaning fluid.

A uniform liquid outlet regardless of the respective liquid level in the container is achieved in that the container can be inserted into a receiving frame arranged on the suction pipe, which has a height-adjustable bottom part on which the container rests by a force counteracting the weight of the container. During the emptying process, the bottom part is raised accordingly due to the reduction in weight of the container by the counteracting force. This means that the liquid level remains at the same level compared to the distributor bar until the container is completely emptied, which ensures that the liquid flows uniformly to the distributor bar.

In the bottom part of the receiving space there is expediently a connection opening which is connected to the distributor bar in a liquid-conducting manner via an elastic line. The container with its appropriately designed outlet opening can be connected to this connection opening by inserting it into the receiving frame.

When work is interrupted, it is customary to place the suction pipe coupled to the mouthpiece on the floor of the room. Leakage of the cleaning liquid can be avoided here by arranging the outlet opening of the container, which can be connected to the distributor bar in a liquid-conducting manner, on the side facing the mouthpiece in the region of the housing edge of the container which is further away from the suction pipe.

Eine weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung des Erfindung ist gegenstand des Anspruchs 6.Another advantageous embodiment of the invention is the subject of claim 6.

FIG 1
ein Zusatzgerät in schematischer Darstellung,
FIG 2
eine Ausführungsform des Mundstückes eines Zusatzgerätes,
FIG 3
einen Aufnahmerahmen für einen Reinigungsflüssigkeitsbehälter,
FIG 4
eine auslaufsichere Ausführungsform eines Reinigungsflüssigkeitsbehälters.
The subject of the application is described in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. It shows:
FIG. 1
an additional device in a schematic representation,
FIG 2
one embodiment of the mouthpiece of an additional device,
FIG 3
a receiving frame for a cleaning liquid container,
FIG 4
a leak-proof embodiment of a cleaning liquid container.

Die Verteilerleiste 7 weist entsprechende Durchtrittsöffnungen auf, über die die Reinigungsflüssigkeit von der Verteilerleiste 7 auf die Walze 6 gelangt.1 designates an additional device which has a suction pipe 2, a mouthpiece 3 plugged onto this and a container 4 for a cleaning liquid which is arranged detachably on the suction pipe 2. In the interior of the housing of the mouthpiece 3, a roller 6 made of sponge-like material, e.g. foam, is rotatably mounted in a roller chamber 5. The roller chamber 5 can be completely open on both sides or at least be provided with openings so that there is ambient pressure in the roller chamber 5. Above the roller 6 there is a distributor bar 7 on the housing of the mouthpiece 3, which is in liquid-conducting connection via a line piece 8 with an outlet opening 9 formed on the container 4. The distributor bar 7 has corresponding passage openings through which the cleaning liquid passes from the distributor bar 7 to the roller 6.

On the front and / or rear side of the mouthpiece 3 there are suction slits 10 which extend over the entire width of the mouthpiece and are in flow connection with the suction nozzle 11 of the mouthpiece 3 which can be connected to the suction pipe 2. The suction slots 10 open in the lower boundary plane 12 of the mouthpiece 3. The roller 6, however, is arranged so that it protrudes beyond the lower boundary plane 12 when the mouthpiece 3 is lifted off. So that the roller 6 is pressed against the carpet when using the device and squeezed accordingly, so that the cleaning liquid or the cleaning foam 6 is pressed out onto the carpet.

If a foam-forming cleaning liquid is used, the continuous compression of the roller 6 on the side facing the carpet and the corresponding relaxation on the opposite side, when the additional device is moved back and forth, contributes to the production of the cleaning foam.

By connecting the additional device to a vacuum cleaner, it is possible to vacuum the cleaning liquid applied to the carpet again. This can be done simultaneously while the cleaning liquid is being applied to the carpet. However, there is also the option of initially only applying the cleaning liquid and only vacuuming it off after a certain exposure time. The container 4 can then be removed from the suction pipe 2, so that the additional device becomes more manageable. The container 4 can also be removed from the suction pipe for easier filling with cleaning fluid.

In the mouthpiece 3 shown in FIG 2, two obliquely arranged wall parts 13 are provided in the roller chamber 5, which abut the circumference of the roller 6 and connect with their upper ends 14 to the distributor strip. This creates a roof-shaped storage space 15 above the roller 6, in which a sufficient amount of cleaning liquid can be collected to impregnate the roller 6.

This receptacle frame 16 has a height-adjustable base part 17. Below this base part 17, a spring 18 is arranged in the receiving frame 16, which presses the base part 17 upwards against the weight of the container 4. The spring 18 is dimensioned such that the base part 17 is raised by approximately the same amount by which the liquid level drops when the auxiliary device 1 is used. So that the cleaning liquid gets during the entire emptying process of the container 4 with the same pressure to the distributor bar 7, which ensures a uniform distribution of the cleaning liquid during the entire working process.

In the bottom part 17 there is a connection opening 19 which can be connected to the connecting piece 21 of the distributor bar 7 via an elastic line 20 which allows the adjustment of the bottom part 17. The connection opening 19 is advantageously designed so that the container 4 can be connected simply by plugging in its outlet opening 9.

Es bedarf somit keines gesondert zu betätigenden Absperrorganes.4 shows a leak-proof embodiment of the container 4. As can be seen, the outlet opening 9 is arranged on the side 22 of the container facing the mouthpiece 3 in the region of its housing edge 23, which is located further away from the suction pipe 2. If the suction pipe 2 is placed on the floor of the room when the cleaning process is interrupted, then the outlet opening 9 is above the liquid level in the container 4 and no cleaning liquid can run out during the work stoppage. There is therefore no need for a separately operated shut-off device.
