Definitions

  • the invention relates to a table flag holder. It will find its application in particular in the manufacturers of office accessories or decorative objects.
  • table flag holders have been known for many years but its use is growing. During international meetings, it is frequent to distinguish the different representatives of each nation thanks to the presence of a table flag holder placed in front of the representative of the country considers for which of course the flag represents the national emblem.
  • table flag holders consists of a base surmounted by a mast at the end of which is attached the piece of canvas.
  • the base and the mast are made from pieces of wood.
  • the mast is turned, the base also then it is necessary to drill holes in the latter in order to plant the mast (s).
  • the machining is complex and because it requires numerous recovery operations, the cost of the part is high. It should also be noted that the different banners on a base can be oriented in any way, which means that when installing the masts, take special precautions to correctly orient the banners.
  • the main object of the present invention is to present a table flag holder specially designed to be manufactured economically and convenient to use even when several masts can be placed on the base.
  • the proposed manufacturing technique is injection molding. This technique adapts perfectly to large series and allows obtaining precise parts with a low unit cost.
  • the flag holder of the present invention makes it possible to obtain a systematic orientation of all the banners put in place.
  • all the banners are oriented radially, that is to say which are ordered and very visible.
  • the base of the present invention allows positioning of the flags automatically.
  • the table flag holder of the invention is easily removable for storage and it has been designed so that the banner can be exchanged to be reused on different occasions.
  • the table flag holder intended to decorate a table, a desk or the like, composed of a base on which one or more flagpoles supporting a banner are arranged, is characterized in that it presents ways to orient the banner.
  • the present invention relates to a table flag holder very particularly intended to adorn a desk, a table or the like. It mainly concerns manufacturers of office accessories.
  • a flag holder consists of a wooden base, a mast fitted into the base and a banner. Their manufacture is very expensive. In addition, the rotational positioning of the flags is not easy.
  • the object of the present invention is precisely to very significantly reduce the cost of manufacturing flag holders and to make it more convenient to use even when the same base must receive several emblems, as is more and more frequently encountered.
  • Figure 1 illustrates the table flag holder 1 of the present invention in its simplest version, that is to say when a single banner is placed.
  • the flag holder consists of a base 2 in which is fitted a mast 3 which supports a banner 4.
  • the banner 4 can be made in a room canvas, paper, cardboard or other material. Generally, the banner is printed in the colors of a national emblem, an acronym, a trademark or other.
  • FIG. 2 represents the installation of several masts 3, carrying banners 4, on the same base 2.
  • the flag carrier 1 of the present invention has two characteristics which favor the use with several masts and flags.
  • the flag holder has means for orienting each banner on the base 2.
  • each of the banners 4 is oriented radially with respect to the base 2. It is a preferential orientation so that each banner 4 is visible.
  • Figure 3 shows a top view of the base 2 of the flag holder of the present invention.
  • this base is made of injected plastic. It is a particularly economical manufacturing process when it comes to producing large series. Polypropylene is well suited to this molding manufacturing process.
  • the base 2 includes a central orifice 5 intended to be used for the establishment of the main mast. This orifice 5 is slightly surmounted relative to the rest of the base 2 to dominate the banner of the central flag. Then, the base has a whole series of orifices 6 arranged in a concentric circle. These orifices 6 are capable of receiving masts.
  • the base 2 is capable of receiving three crowns of flags, the inner crown has twelve orifices 6, the intermediate crown 13 and the outer crown 27. This makes it possible to adapt to the different configurations likely to to be met.
  • the periphery of the base 2 includes means for associating several bases in particular in the form of a teeth in dovetails 17.
  • Other fixing arrangements could have been used, however this offers the advantage of being simple and allows an arrangement of several bases by fitting them into each other thanks to the tails. dovetails. A great deal of freedom is given in this regard because it is possible to fix several bases 2 with different angular settings.
  • Figure 4 shows the base 2 in sectional view.
  • the orifices 6 of the various crowns are cut in the form of a mortise, that is to say that they have a rectangular profile.
  • the ends of the masts 3 are cut in the shape of a tenon 7, as illustrated in FIG. 5.
  • the end of the mast 3 has a chamfer 8.
  • the tenon shape 7 of the end of the mast 3 allows it to be introduced in the orifices 6 and the change in profile of the mast forms a shoulder and a longitudinal stop to prevent the mast from penetrating too deeply into the orifice 6.
  • the various crowns in which the orifices 6 are hollowed out have suitable inclinations to prevent the banners 4 of the masts 3 from coming into contact with the masts of the lower crowns.
  • the inclination is 9 °
  • the inclination is 19 °
  • the crown outer whose diameter is approximately 68 mm
  • the inclination is 35 °.
  • the orifices 6 have internal flanks whose inclination corresponds to that of the masts 3.
  • the profile of the base 2 is in the form of a superposition of cone trunks, each of them having the inclination corresponding to the crown of masts 3 to be put in place.
  • the base of the mast 3 not only rests on the flank of the post 7, which rests on the wall of the orifice 6, but also at the level of the base of the mast 3 which rests on the inclined surface of the cone trunk of each of the crowns.
  • the gradual inclination of the different crowns has the effect of spreading the upper ends of the masts taking into account the fact that the inclination of each mast also tends to cause the banner to overflow.
  • FIG. 6 schematizes one of the possible embodiments of said mast 3.
  • the latter comprises in its upper part an ornamental tip 9 which corresponds to that present on life-size flag poles.
  • the mast 3 has two parts 10 and 11 articulated by a central hinge 12.
  • the parts 10 and 11 When the parts 10 and 11 are folded over one another, they correspond to the profile of the mast 3.
  • Devices 13 locking are present at each of the ends of the parts 10 and 11 complementary to block the closure of these parts when they are folded against each other.
  • a locking device by fitting studs into complementary cavities.
  • the surface of the parts 10 and 11 of the mast is for example lined with studs 14, or of ridges to keep the piece of canvas pinched between the parts 10 and 11 when the latter are folded over one another.
  • the advantage of the structure of the mast of the present invention is that it can be entirely produced by injection.
  • the hinge is obtained thanks to a local fineness of the part and no subsequent machining operation is necessary. Just pinch the flag between pieces 10 and 11.
  • case 15 As illustrated in FIG. 7, in which are grouped the base 2, the mast 3 and a basket 16 where one or more banners are arranged.
