Claims (4)

1- Procédé de réglage de la position angulaire des arbres à cames (10,11) d'un moteur de véhicule automobile ayant deux arbres à cames, par rapport à la position angulaire du vilebrequin, les arbres à cames étant entraînés par le vilebrequin par l'intermédiaire d'une transmission comprenant des poulies de transmission (1,3,4) reliées aux arbres respectifs, les poulies de transmission (3,4) au moins étant reliées aux arbres à cames (10,11) de façon libérable par rapport à ceux-ci de manière qu'ils puissent être tournés par rapport à leurs poulies et que ces dernières puissent être bloquées dans des positions angulaires choisies, comprenant les phases consistant à libérer les arbres de leurs poulies de transmission associées (1,3,4), à faire tourner ensuite chacun des arbres jusque dans une position d'arrêt prédéterminée à l'aide d'un outil combiné qui est astreint à coopérer d'une façon prédéterminée avec une surface usinée bien définie (7,15) de l'arbre, et en bloquant ensuite la poulie de transmission respective sur son arbre, procédé caractérisé en ce qu'un outil (12) comprenant deux leviers (13,14) est appliqué sur les arbres à cames, une partie d'extrémité de chaque levier étant reliée de façon non rotative à une surface usinée bien définie de l'arbre à cames respectif, dans une position prédéterminée, les autres parties d'extrémités des leviers étant prises ensemble, et en contact l'une contre l'autre, obtenant ainsi la position d'arrêt des arbres à cames.
2- Procédé suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'une butée (7) est amenée en contact contre un outil (9) en faisant tourner le vilebrequin, l'outil étant inséré dans un trou du carter en face de la butée, cette butée étant située sur le contrepoids arrière (8) du vilebrequin et étant utilisée comme surface de référence pour la fabrication du vilebrequin.
3- Appareil pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé suivant la revendication 1 sur un moteur de véhicule automobile comportant deux arbres à cames entraînés par le vilebrequin du moteur par l'intermédiaire d'une transmission comprenant des poulies de transmission (1,3,4) reliées aux arbres respectifs, au moins les poulies de transmission (3,4) reliées aux arbres à cames (10,11) étant reliées de façon libérable à leurs arbres respectifs et étant aptes à être bloquées sur ceux-ci dans des positions angulaires choisies par rapport à leurs arbres, caractérisé par un outil combiné (12) comprenant deux leviers (13,14), une partie d'extrémité de chaque levier étant apte à être reliée de façon non rotative à une surface usinée bien définie de l'arbre à cames respectif (10,11) dans une position prédéterminée, les autres parties d'extrémité comportant des surfaces coopérantes définissant une position d'arrêt pour le réglage des arbres à cames lorsqu'elles sont amenées en contact l'une avec l'autre.
4- Appareil suivant la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend un alésage dans le carter, situé directement en face du contrepoids arrière du vilebrequin, et dans lequel un outil (9) peut être inséré afin de coopérer avec une butée (7) sur ce contrepoids.
