Claims (6)

  1. Method of connecting a prefabricated platform to an horizontal cross member (8) of a construction, said platform being comprised of a shaped section (1), each end of which carries a support (3) comprising a vertical member onto which are attached two suspension hooks (2) intended for being placed so as to engage the horizontal cross member (8) of the construction, said vertical member having at least one aperture (4), the horizontal axis of which is situated in the same vertical plane as the longitudinal axis of one of said suspension hooks (2), the said aperture (4) allowing the upper portion of a latch that is attached to the lower portion of the support (3) to extend there-through in such a way as to be pivotable in a vertical plane and in such a way that, when the corresponding suspension hook (2) is resting on the horizontal cross member (8), the latch (6) is in contact with the lateral surface of the cross member (8), characterized by connecting the lower end (7) of the latch (6) to a horizontal side of the support (3) in such a way that it is capable of pivoting in a vertical plane and of coming to abut against the lower lateral surface of the horizontal cross member (8).
  2. A method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lower end of the latch (6) extends through an opening (5) in the horizontal side of the support (3).
  3. A method as claimed in any one of claims 1 and 2, wherein the lower end (7) of the latch (6) is connected to the support (3) by means of a head member formed by a screw.
  4. A prefabricated platform for carrying out the method as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, comprising a shaped section (1), each end of which carries a support (3) comprising a vertical member onto which are attached two suspension hooks (2) intended for being placed so as to engage the horizontal cross member (8) of a construction, said vertical member having at least one aperture (4), the horizontal axis of which is situated in the same vertical plane as the longitudinal axis of one of said suspension hooks (2), the said aperture (4) allowing the upper portion of a latch that is attached to the lower portion of the support (3) to extend therethrough in such a way as to be pivotable in a vertical plane and in such a way that, when the corresponding suspension hook (2) is resting on the horizontal cross member (8), the latch (6) is in contact with the lateral surface of the cross member (8), characterized in that the latch (6) is connected at its lower end (7) to a horizontal side of the support (3) in such a way that it is capable of pivoting in a vertical plane and of coming to abut against the lower lateral surface of the horizontal cross member.
  5. A prefabricated platform as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the lower end of the latch (6) extends through an opening (5) in the horizontal side of the support (3).
  6. A prefabricated platform as claimed in any one of claims 4 and 5, characterized in that the lower end (7) of the latch (6) is connected to the support (3) by means of a head member formed by a screw.
