Definitions
- the invention relates to a toy according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a toy known from GB-A-2 176 411
- sets of individual elements each consisting of spherically curved plates of square cross-section, each with a different width, can form a globe be put together.
- tongues or bores for receiving these tongues and on the west and east facing end faces of the individual elements per individual element, flanges offset from one another are formed on the north and south facing end faces of the individual elements, which in the assembled state are formed by corresponding projections arranged on the flanges interlock.
- a toy is known from US-A-1,409,082, in which several individual elements, which consist of pyramid-shaped blocks with a polygonal cross section, are joined to form a round toy body, which can likewise represent a globe.
- connecting means are provided on the side faces of the individual elements in the form of two holes and correspondingly designed pins on adjacent side faces to be joined together in the same arrangement on the respective individual elements.
- the object of the invention is to provide a toy of the type mentioned, in which increasing demands are made on the skill of the user in the course of assembling the toy body.
- the invention is a toy made of assembled, in particular pluggable and optionally created by snap-in elements (puzzle pieces), which on the one hand offers an extremely large number of combinations, but on the other hand can be carried out with a limited number of individual elements that can be combined to form an object, in particular with a spherical shape.
- Another advantage is that the toy is particularly pleasant and versatile, and also the skill of the player or players is put to a serious test when assembling the individual parts.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is a toy with by joining together individual parts (puzzle pieces), which can be assembled into a block-shaped, in particular spherical object, which may preferably have the shape of a soccer ball.
- the individual parts are formed by a first number (first set) of pyramid-shaped, in particular truncated pyramid-shaped elements with a hexagonal base and a second number (second set) of pyramid-shaped, in particular truncated pyramid-shaped elements with pentagonal base.
- the pyramid-shaped elements form puzzle blocks which can be joined to one another in such a way that each puzzle block with a pentagonal base is enclosed by puzzle blocks with a hexagonal base.
- the lateral surfaces of the puzzle blocks mentioned have connecting means for the mutual connection, in particular a plug connection of the blocks mentioned.
- the base areas of the puzzle blocks ie the base areas with the larger areas, form a spherical surface of an object, for example a toy football.
- These base surfaces are therefore preferably designed as spherical caps.
- 1 generally denotes the final toy body, which is obtained by connecting individual elements (puzzle blocks) 2 and 3.
- the individual elements 2 and 3 are advantageously carried out in the form of small blocks (puzzle blocks) made of plastic material or the like, which have a pyramid shape, preferably a truncated pyramid shape.
- the individual elements 2 of a first type have a hexagonal cross section.
- the individual elements 3 of a second type have a pentagonal cross section.
- Each individual element 2 has a hexagonal cross section and has a smaller base surface 4, a larger base surface 5 and side surfaces 6, wherein the base surface 5 can be curved outwards in the manner of a spherical cap (spherical surface section).
- the respective individual element 3 with a pentagonal cross-section has base surfaces 12 and 13 as well as lateral surfaces 14, the base surface 13 having the larger surface area and also being able to be dome-shaped to the outside.
- each pentagonal element 3 is surrounded and delimited by elements 2 with a hexagonal cross section.
- connection is established by means of mutual, preferably clamping or latching connection means, in particular plug connection means, which are provided in the lateral surfaces 6 and 14, respectively.
- the male connecting element or the plug part is created by means of projections 8 and 16, respectively, which are inserted into the grooves 7 and 15 to produce the connection.
- the projections 8 and 16 can preferably be made in one piece with the respective pyramid-shaped individual element 2 or 3 or possibly be created in such a way that a separate connecting element 17, for example in the form of a rhombus, is created, which can be fastened in corresponding grooves, so that a male connecting element or a plug part is created.
- the difficulty of assembling this toy increases as the number of connector parts increases, which are to be connected to corresponding sockets or grooves by assembly. Furthermore, the arrangement and number of plug parts or those acting as plug sockets Grooves on the respective individual elements 2 and 3 can be varied. In addition, the distributed arrangement of the two types of individual elements 2 and 3 can be varied. The greater the number of individual elements 2 and 3, which require a specific positioning depending on the type of individual elements and the arrangement and number of connecting means (grooves, projections), the greater the difficulty in assembling, since corresponding female connector parts are necessary, ie grooves and matching connector parts must be found to get a complete connection to the spherical toy body, for example.
- the respective number of block-shaped individual elements 2 and 3 can be determined in order to obtain the desired toy body when it is put together. Furthermore, the number and the arrangement of the plug parts (projections) and socket parts (grooves) can be arranged differently on the five or six side surfaces 14 or 6 of the respective individual elements 3 or 2, so that the difficulty of assembling the toy body is adjusted accordingly leaves.
- the individual elements 2, 3 can preferably be designed with curved base surfaces 5, 3, that is to say that they are shaped according to a spherical part, or it is possibly possible to provide extensions 18 which are formed from domes with hexagonal and pentagonal flat base surfaces , which can be attached, for example, by gluing or the like to the flat base surfaces of the various pyramid elements. Of course, it is also possible, as shown in the figures, to form the base surfaces 3, 5 flat.
- the pyramid-shaped individual elements 2, 3 with pentagonal and hexagonal cross sections give a combination toy in which the degree of difficulty in handling can be changed depending on the respective requirements of the user.
- connecting means grooves 7 or 15, projections 8 or 16
- Only two types of mold are necessary if only grooves are formed and the various rhombus-shaped connecting elements which form the elongated connecting part are inserted.
- the surface of the toy body can preferably be designed like a soccer ball, the individual elements which belong to different sentences, i.e. have different cross-sections, have different colors or patterns on their base surfaces.
- the pentagonal individual elements can be black on their base surfaces and the hexagonal individual elements on their base surfaces can be white.
- other color combinations and patterns, as are known for footballs can also be selected.
- the base areas correspond to the surface elements of the surface of the football. Of course, it is also possible to simulate other objects through the toy body.
