Claims (16)

1. Parking system, particularly in the form of a multistorey car park (1), having a multiplicity of parking spaces (3) arranged at least on top of one another and next to one another, at least one conveying device for conveying a vehicle (4), parked in the entrance level to a parking space (3) as well as for conveying a vehicle (3) to be removed from its parking space (4) to the exit level and sensors (24) provided at the individual parking spaces (3) and serving for determining the occupied state and the non-occupied state, which sensors are connected to an electronic data processing system (25), characterised in that a plurality of or all of the parking spaces (3) situated on the entrance side in the entrance level (2) are constructed as entrance boxes (14), in that a plurality of or all of the parking spaces situated on the exit side in the exit level are constructed as exit boxes, in that at a central entrance control station (20) or at each entrance box (14) a device which is also connected to the electronic data processing system (25), for inputting the expected parking time is arranged, in that the conveying device (9) can be controlled according to a predetermined program with the connection of this program to the data of the sensors (24) and to the input parking times via the electronic data processing system (25) in such a way that the respective vehicle (4) can be conveyed before the programmed collection time into an exit box (14) and that after the parking fee has been paid an automatic payment device (22) also connected to the electronic data processing system (25) displays or prints out the respective exit box (14) from which the vehicle is to be collected.

Parking system according to Claim 1, characterised in that the respective vehicle to be collected can be conveyed before the programmed collection time when all the exit boxes (14) are in the occupied state into a parking space near to an exit box and in that, after the parking fee for the vehicle to be collected is paid, an occupied exit box is cleared via the electronic data processing system (25) using the conveying device (9) and the vehicle to be collected is conveyed into this exit box.
3. Parking system according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the exit level (2) is located at the same level as the entrance level.
4. Parking system according to Claim 3, characterised in that the entrance and exit boxes (14) are located on the same side.
5. Parking system according to Claim 4, characterised in that the entrance boxes are at the same time exit boxes.
6. Parking system according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the entrance and exit boxes (14) are arranged on opposite sides.
7. Parking system according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the parking spaces (3) are arranged on top of and next to one another in two vertical blocks separated from one another by an intermediate space.
8. Parking system according to Claim 7, characterised in that the conveying device (9) is arranged in the intermediate space between the two vertical blocks.
9. Parking system according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the conveying device consists of at least one lift (9) which transports the vehicles (4) in the vertical direction in the manner of an elevator and which is additionally movable in the horizontal direction.

Parking system according to Claim 9, characterised in that in order to receive the vehicles ( 4 ) pallets (8, 8a) are provided on which the vehicles remain during the entire parking time, the pallets (8, 8a) serving both as standing surfaces in the parking spaces (3) and also as conveying platforms during the transportation of the vehicles with the conveying device.
11. Parking system according to Claim 10, characterised in that the lift (9) has receptacle devices for a standby pallet (8a) which can be inserted directly into the empty parking space after a pallet (8) occupied by a vehicle (4) has been removed from a parking space (3).
12. Parking system according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterised in that each entrance box or exit box (14) is assigned an outer barrier (31), which can be closed after the parking ticket or a code card has been read into a reading device (21) arranged outside the box (14), and a safety barrier (32), which is arranged on the side facing the lift and is closed when the outer barrier (31) is opened and opened when the outer barrier (31) is closed.
13. Parking system according to Claim 12, characterised in that the outer barrier (31) and the safety barrier (32) are constructed as vertically movable locking gratings (33, 34) which are mounted in each case between two corner columns (35) of the box (14) in guides (36).
14. Parking system according to Claim 13, characterised in that the locking gratings (33, 34) are suspended on common cables (37, 38) guided by means of upper rollers (39, 40 and 41, 42).

Parking system according to Claim 14, characterised in that the locking grating (33) which forms the outer barrier (31) is heavier than the locking grating (34) which forms the safety barrier (32), and in that in order to actuate the locking gratings (33, 34) only one control cable (43) which is connected to the heavier locking grating (34) and can be actuated with a motor (44) is provided.
16. Method for operating a parking system according to one of the preceding claims, characterised by the combination of the following features:
- initially a parking ticket is purchased at a central control station or a code card is read in and the expected parking time is entered, whereupon an entrance barrier is opened,
- the user then parks the vehicle in a free entrance box in which the vehicle is detected by the sensors and the occupied state is displayed,
- after leaving the vehicle, the user registers his parking ticket or the code card in a reading device provided outside each entrance box,
- subsequently, the vehicle is automatically conveyed by the conveying device to a parking space, the parking space being selected automatically by the data processing system as a function of the programmed expected parking time in accordance with a predetermined program,
- before the programmed collection time, the vehicle is conveyed into an exit box or, if all the exit boxes are in the occupied state, into a parking space near to the expected exit box,
- when the vehicle is collected, after the parking fee is paid or after the code card is read in, the respective exit box from which the vehicle is to be collected is displayed or printed out.
