Definitions

  • the invention relates to a packaging unit with several paper handkerchiefs.
  • Handkerchiefs are designed as single-use disposable towels. They are widely used and serve two essential purposes: First, paper tissues are carried in handbags, garment bags, in the car, etc. on the go, or kept at home, in the office, etc. until there is a need to use them. It happens that opened packages are often lying around for a long time until handkerchiefs from this package are needed again. Second, in acute colds, paper tissues are preferred as disposable tissues over infected tissues. In these cases opened packages are generally used up quickly.
  • Conventional commercially available packaging units for paper handkerchiefs generally consist of sheets of paper or plastic film which are glued into a packet around several folded paper handkerchiefs.
  • the end part of the package is torn off along a perforation to open the packaging unit, so that part of the folded paper handkerchiefs is exposed. Paper tissues can then be gripped and removed from the exposed portion.
  • a disadvantage of this type of packaging is, on the one hand, that the remaining wipes still contained in the packaging are no longer held firmly in the packaging when it becomes empty, and often fall out, as a result of which they are no longer protected, both mechanically and hygienically .
  • the exposed part of the handkerchiefs is neither hygienically nor mechanically protected.
  • the remaining handkerchiefs on the exposed edge become dirty, tear and become unsightly. In the case of the first intended use described at the beginning, this means that paper tissues lying around or carried around for a long time can no longer be used in a opened package.
  • packaging for paper tissues has also come onto the market in which there is a stack of folded paper tissues in a package made of folded paper or plastic film with a side slit which, after a handkerchief has been removed through this slit, is passed through a slot again folded flap can be closed with an adhesive tape.
  • no handkerchiefs fall out of opened packages, the problem of poor hygiene is not solved.
  • this type of packaging too, some of the remaining handkerchiefs that are still in the packaging are exposed and are inevitably touched with the fingers when the packaging is opened to remove another handkerchief. Especially with colds or similar colds, the edges of the clean cloths are touched with dirty or infected fingers during removal and can also be infected.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a packaging unit with paper handkerchiefs in which the individual paper handkerchiefs are kept hygienically until they are used and are protected in such a way that they, also not partially, can become dirty or tear.
  • each paper handkerchief is separately in a sleeve made of plastic, cellophane, paper or another suitable film material and several of these sleeves, preferably 10 sleeves, are connected to one another to form a packaging unit by the sleeves on one their edges have been firmly connected to one another, a tear-off aid in the form of a perforation, a reduction in cross section or a fold being provided between the edge part of the casing used for the connection and the filled pocket part of the casing.
  • Such a packaging unit usually comprises ten individually wrapped paper handkerchiefs, it also being possible, of course, to produce smaller units with, for example, only five or three paper handkerchiefs, such smaller packs being narrower and often being sufficient as a reserve for emergencies.
  • the paper handkerchiefs are preferably folded in the usual manner before they are placed in the sleeves. Unfolded handkerchiefs are too big and use too much cover material.
  • Plastic, cellophane, paper, laminated paper or the like is used as the covering material. This makes the packaging more or less complex, although it can also play a role whether an advertising print, an information print or a decorative print is to be applied to the cover. For hygienic reasons, the use of plastic film, especially transparent colored or transparent film, is preferable.
  • the tear-off aid consists of a perforation that can be used with plastic and paper, a reduction in cross-section, e.g. for plastic or a fold for paper.
  • the sleeves can either be closed separately after inserting the paper handkerchief or they can be stacked open and then closed together, for example by the action of heat in the case of plastic, on the edge part and be connected to each other at the same time.
  • the edge parts can be closed together by stapling or gluing and firmly connected to one another and / or a stack of several casings of a packaging unit in an analogous manner.
  • a perforation as a tear-off aid between the pocket part of the cover and the edge part can be attached to each cover individually or in one operation for a packaging unit after the edge connection has been produced.
  • the paper handkerchiefs are preferably folded in the customary manner, the folded handkerchief having two longitudinal edges and two end edges.
  • the sleeves are expediently connected to one another at a corresponding longitudinal edge.
  • "firmly connected to each other at an edge” is understood to mean a connection which is so firm that when a cover is torn off, i.e. when a casing is removed from the packaging unit, the edge parts connected to one another remain connected to one another. In this way, the remaining paper handkerchiefs that are still in the packaging unit are held firmly, hygienically and cleanly in their sleeves.
  • the sleeves are connected to one another only at one edge, but that it is possible to connect them to one another at several edges if a more compact package is desired as the packaging unit.
  • a packaging unit for several or many paper handkerchiefs can also be produced in the way that sub-groups of, for example, three or five envelopes with paper handkerchiefs in the manner according to the invention are firmly connected to one another at the edge and these sub-units are connected to one another in an easily detachable manner. In this way it is possible to tear off the sub-units from a large package and thus only carry small packages in your clothes or handbag.
  • Fastening or holding devices which are expediently attached to the connecting edge, give the possibility of fastening the packaging unit according to the invention, for example, to the cockpit in the car or in a handbag, so that the annoying search for the paper handkerchiefs is eliminated.
  • Adhesive strips which are covered with a removable protective film in the usual way are preferably used as fastening and holding devices. Adhesive strips of this type are applied to the back of the packaging unit so that it can be glued directly to smooth plastic, metal, wooden parts, etc. In this way, for example, from a packaging unit glued to the cockpit of the car, a cover can be torn off along a perforation, only one hand being required, so that a paper handkerchief can be reached quickly and safely.
  • a packaging unit can even be attached to the leather of a handbag with an attached adhesive strip. Furthermore, part of a Velcro fastener known per se is also suitable for this purpose. The other part is in a handbag, for example. After a packet of tissues has been used, a new packet is attached to the same place in the same way.
  • the invention avoids annoying searches for paper handkerchiefs and their contamination.
  • the paper tissues remain hygienically clean until they are used.
  • the wrapper of a used paper handkerchief can be used to hold and store the used paper handkerchief until there is an opportunity to throw it away.
  • FIG. 1 shows a packaging unit according to the invention, in which a plurality of paper handkerchiefs 2, the uppermost of which is indicated by dashed lines, have each been placed in a sleeve 1 in the folded state before assembly.
  • the sleeves 1 are made of cellophane or paper and consist of a pocket part 4, which is closed on three sides and into which the folded handkerchief 2 is inserted, and an edge part 3, which serves to connect the sleeves to one another. This connection of the edge parts 3 simultaneously closes the pocket parts 4 after the handkerchiefs 2 have been filled in.
  • the edge part 3 is of the pocket part 4 Cover separated by a tear-off aid, which is a perforation along the perforation line 5 in FIG. 1.
  • the pocket parts 4 of which each contain a handkerchief 2 have been placed on top of one another in a stack, their still open edge parts 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, ... are stapled 10 firmly connected in the usual way.
  • This connecting edge created by the interconnected edge parts is then covered and encased with a covering 9, so that the packaging unit can be easily held by hand at this connecting edge.
  • the covering 9 can consist, for example, of a self-adhesive linen tape. In a simpler embodiment, this covering 9 can also consist of a tear-resistant paper in the case of paper envelopes.
  • the sleeves 1 are made of cellophane or paper, they can be connected to one another by gluing their edge parts 3, after which their connected edges 3 are formed into a compact grip strip by gluing on a covering tape 9.
  • an adhesive film 7 is attached, which is covered in the usual way with a removable protection.
  • the packaging unit can be attached to a smooth surface, for example inside a car, on the wall after the protective film has been removed using the adhesive film 7. It is also possible to attach the packaging unit to an inside of a handbag by means of this adhesive film 7 in order to avoid the annoying search for the paper handkerchiefs in a larger handbag.
  • a tissue is to be removed from the packaging unit according to the invention, e.g. the cover 1a is torn off at the perforation line 5, whereupon the paper handkerchief 2 can be removed from the now open pocket part 4.
  • the rest of the packaging unit remains solid and all paper tissues in the sleeves still in place are packed cleanly and protected.
  • Figure 2 shows a packaging unit according to the invention in section.
  • eight paper handkerchiefs 2 are each inserted separately into a pocket part 4 of eight sleeves 1.
  • These sleeves 1 are made of plastic material, so that their edge parts 3 are welded by heat to form a compact grip edge.
  • the individual sleeves 1 with the handkerchief 2 located in the sleeve can be torn off and thus removed from the packaging unit.
  • the length of the pocket part 4 of the cover 1 is longer than would be necessary to completely accommodate the folded handkerchief 2.
  • the stack height of the sleeves 1 in the unfilled sleeve part up to the handle part consisting of the edge parts 3 can be compensated so that the stack lies smooth and the sleeve ends do not open.
  • the pocket parts 4 of the sleeves 1 in a packaging unit have different lengths, the lengths of the pocket parts within a sleeve stack decreasing from the underside to the top of the stack.
  • Packaging unit only five sleeves with five handkerchiefs, although this embodiment is particularly advantageous for packaging units with a larger number of paper handkerchiefs.
  • FIG. 3 From Figure 3 it can be seen that in this way one side of the packaging unit remains flat even when the stack of casings is high. Fastening and holding devices are attached to this flat side of the packaging unit.
  • a Velcro fastener 8 known per se is located on one side of the connecting edge, so that even a thick stack of casings can be hung on a counterpart of the Velcro fastener, which is attached, for example, to the wall inside a pharmacy cabinet. It is then possible to easily tear off the top cover with a hygienically clean paper handkerchief. The rest of the stack remains stuck and clean.
  • the fastening and holding devices 6 can comprise a wide variety of means.
  • adhesive strips and Velcro fasteners, eyelets, hooks or the like can be welded or glued into the connecting edge, or holes can simply be punched into the connecting edge formed from the edges 3.
