Definitions
- the invention relates to methods and devices for recycling a portion of the exhaust gases resulting from the combustion of a mixture consisting of fuel gas and combustion air into the flame area of the combustion.
- the return of exhaust gases into the flame area of a combustion can reduce the formation of NO x in the combustion chamber.
- Such a desirable reduction of the pollutants mentioned is based on the lowering of the oxygen partial pressure, from which a reduction in the flame temperature, which prevents the thermally caused formation of NO x, subsequently results.
- the object of the invention is to design a guide for this portion of the exhaust gases in such a way that their space requirement is low, that they require no complex devices and no energy expenditure to promote the exhaust gases, and finally also for cooling this portion of the exhaust gases and for recycling the contained therein Warm is usable.
- this object is achieved procedurally in that this portion of the exhaust gases in counterflow to the flames exhaust gases leaving the area and is mixed with the combustion air flowing into the flame area.
- this portion of the exhaust gases is conducted into a space below the flame area and mixed with the combustion air flowing into the flames through this space.
- This portion of the exhaust gases can be cooled particularly advantageously in the countercurrent area of its guidance, in order to reduce the temperature in the flame area on the one hand and on the other hand to extract and utilize heat from this portion.
- the invention also extends to devices suitable for carrying out this method.
- a device in particular a water heater, with a combustion chamber that receives a burner, in particular a gas burner, and is laterally delimited by a combustion chamber wall, above which at least one heat exchanger extending over the cross section of the exhaust gas duct is arranged
- at least one partition can be arranged within this combustion chamber be provided which, together with the combustion chamber wall, forms a guide which opens into a space below the burner for a portion of these exhaust gases which is conducted in counterflow to the exhaust gases flowing through the heat exchanger.
- the exhaust gas flows out of the Combustion chamber initially due to its thermal buoyancy in the direction of the exhaust system.
- the temperature in the flame area is around 1200 to 1300 ° C.
- the temperature is significantly lower, so that a comparatively high temperature gradient results. This large temperature difference and the natural thermal lift build up a vacuum below the burner, which favors the return of the exhaust gases to this room.
- the partition is advantageously arranged essentially parallel to the combustion chamber wall, regardless of the cross-sectional shape of the combustion chamber.
- the partition wall can be designed to carry water, which also facilitates recovery of the heat contained in this portion of the exhaust gases.
- a water heater in a circulation system e.g. a heater, included and connected to a flow and a return line, then a portion of the return can be led to the heat exchanger via this water-bearing partition.
- the lower edge of the partition extends into the height range of a secondary air distributor which extends below the burner, for example formed from burner tubes, over its surface. This arrangement ensures good mixing and good distribution of the mixture consisting of the exhaust gas component and the primary and / or secondary combustion air.
- the dividing wall can furthermore have passage openings for the entry or exit of the portion of the exhaust gas flowing in the guide immediately below the heat exchanger and / or immediately below the flame area of the burner.
- FIG. 1 shows the principle of a water heater designed in accordance with the invention with a combustion chamber 1, in which a burner 3 consisting of two burner tubes 2 is accommodated.
- These burner tubes 2 are fed by (not shown) coaxial gas nozzles via coaxial mixing tubes 4 with a mixture consisting of fuel gas and primary combustion air, and from the flame area 5 of this burner 3 the main part of the exhaust gases resulting from the combustion flows in the arrow direction 6 through the heat exchanger 7 in an exhaust gas hood 8 to which an exhaust gas duct 9 leading to a chimney is connected.
- the prismatic or cylindrical combustion chamber 1 is delimited on both sides or on all sides by the combustion chamber wall 10 and within this combustion chamber 1 there are 10 partition walls 11 parallel to the combustion chamber wall 10, which together with the combustion chamber wall 10 have guides 12 for one in the direction of the arrow 13, that is to say in countercurrent to that in FIG Direction of arrow 6 the exhaust gases flowing through the heat exchanger 7, form the guided portion of these exhaust gases.
- These guides 12 open into the area 14 below the burner 3, from which secondary air flows in from the burner tubes 2 from below and mixes with the portion of the exhaust gases recirculated in the direction of the arrow 13.
- the portion of the exhaust gases returned to the flame area can also be mixed in the area of the gas nozzles coaxially assigned to the mixing tubes 4 and with the primary air sucked in by these gas nozzles and to be mixed with the fuel gas.
- a secondary air distributor 15 ensures a uniform distribution of the mixture consisting of combustion air and the recirculated exhaust gas portion over the entire burner surface.
- Fig.2 represents in principle a sectional boiler, in which the heat exchanger 7 of boiler sections 16 and the combustion chamber wall 10 are embodied by end members 17.
- the partitions 11 are formed by additional boiler elements 18 which have inlet openings 19 directly below the heat exchanger 7 and 3 outlet openings directly below the burner 3 for the portion of the exhaust gases recirculated in the guides 12 in the direction of arrow 13.
- the heat exchanger 7 is connected to the feed line 23 and a return line 24 of a circulation system, for example a heater, and part of the return is connected to the two partition walls 11 via line 25 for the purpose of cooling the partition walls 11 and returned to the heat exchanger 7.
- a circulation system for example a heater

Abstract
Description
- Fig.1 das Prinzip einer erfindungsgemäßen Einrichtung schematisch,
- Fig.4 in einer Ansicht der Breitseite.
