Abstract

Zur Verringerung der NOx-Bildung im Flammenbereich einer Ver­ brennung wird ein Teil der bei dieser Verbrennung anfallenden Abgase, gegebenenfalls gekühlt, im Gegenstrom zu den diesen Flammenbereich verlassenden Abgasen rückgeführt und der dem Flammenbereich zuströmenden Verbrennungsluft zugemischt.
Eine zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens geeignete Einrichtung mit einem einen Gasbrenner (3) aufnehmenden, durch eine Brenn­ raumwandung (10) begrenzten Brennraum (1) enthält eine Trenn­ wand (11), die gemeinsam mit der Brennraumwandung (10) eine Führung (12) für einen im Gegenstrom (13) zu den den Wärme­ tauscher (7) durchströmenden Abgasen geführten Anteil dieser Abgase bildet und in einen unterhalb des Brenners (3) befind­ lichen Raum (14) mündet, von dem aus dieser Anteil der Abgase der primären und/oder sekundären Verbrennungsluft zugemischt wird.
