Abstract

Ein Bindegerät weist einen durch zwei aufrechte Stützwandungen gebildeten, untenseitig eine Heizeinrichtung aufweisenden Einstellschacht für mit Schmelzkleberstreifen am Rücken versehene und mit einem Papierstapel gefüllte Einbanddecken auf, wobei zumindest eine Stützwandungen zur Veränderung der Breite des Einstellschachtes verschieblich gelagert ist. Damit sich auf einfache Weise die Dicke eines mit dem vorgenannten Bindegerät einzubindenen Papierstapels bzw. eine damit korrelierende Größe feststellen läßt, ist ein Sensor zur Erfassung des Abstandes zwischen den beiden Stützwandungen (3, 4) vorgesehen, der mit einer Anzeigevorrichtung (13) zur Darstellung des Abstandes oder einer damit korrelierenden Größe bzw. Angabe verbunden ist.
