Definitions
- the invention relates to a metering pump according to the first part of patent claim 1.
- Such a metering pump is known from WO-A-8303447.
- the metering piston creates a connection to a pre-delivery space arranged above it, so that any air that is present can escape into the pre-delivery space.
- the pre-delivery space is delimited by a membrane which is firmly connected to the metering piston.
- the excess dosing agent located in the pre-delivery chamber is conveyed back into the dosing agent container via the return line when the dosing piston moves downward.
- the metering pump should be self-priming and self-venting.
- the metering pump 1 has a housing 2 with a pump chamber 3 on its underside and an overlying piston chamber 4.
- the pump chamber 3 can be connected on the input side to a dosing agent container 7 via a schematically indicated suction valve 5 and a suction line 6.
- a metering piston 8 is guided in the housing 2 so that it emerges from the pump chamber 3 for the return stroke and plunges into the latter in the manner shown in FIG. 2 for the working stroke.
- a compression O-ring 9 is provided, which surrounds the metering piston 8 in a sealing manner when immersed.
- At a predetermined distance from the compression O-ring there is an outlet 10 to be connected to a dosing point with a pressure valve 11.
- a return line 12 is connected via a pressure valve 13.
- the metering piston 8 is guided so that it can be moved back and forth coaxially to the piston chamber 4.
- a sealing sleeve 14 is provided around the metering piston 4 and is guided in a sleeve guide 15.
- a sealing ring 16 is provided between the sleeve guide 15 and the metering piston 8 for sealing.
- the sealing sleeve is moved by a compression spring 17 into the end position shown in FIG. 2, in which the sleeve guide is moved into an end position predetermined by a stop 18 on the metering piston 8.
- the compression spring 17 is at one end on the adjacent underside of the sleeve guide 15 and at its other end to an abutment ring 19 which is fixedly connected to the metering piston and is optionally formed in one piece.
- the piston chamber 4 is sealed from the outside by a sealing ring 20 arranged around the emerging metering piston.
- the sealing collar 14 together with the collar guide 15 separates the piston chamber 4 into a lower piston chamber 21 which can be connected to the pump chamber 3 and an upper piston chamber 22 which is connected to the return line.
- dosing agent is drawn into the pump chamber 3 by lifting the dosing piston 8 via the suction line 6.
- the limiting element which separates the lower and upper piston chambers and consists of a sleeve guide and sealing sleeve, tends to move upward, so that the volume of the lower piston chamber increases.
- There is a negative pressure in the lower piston chamber which leads to the compression spring 17 being compressed in the manner shown in FIG. 1 until the metering piston 8 emerges from the compression O-ring 9 and thus a connection between the pump chamber 3 and lower piston chamber is created.
- the prestressed compression spring 17 is released and the limiting element consisting of the sealing sleeve and sleeve guide is accelerated towards the stop 18.
- the dosing agent with any air bubbles present therein, is torn out of the pump chamber 3 and there is complete ventilation.
- the excess dosing medium present in the upper piston chamber 22 is returned to the outside with air via the pressure valve 13 and the return line 12 and in particular into the storage container.
- the dosing piston 8 moves into the pump chamber 3 and the dosing agent which has already been sucked in there becomes conveyed to the dosing point via the pressure valve 11 and the outlet 10.
- the excess metering agent located in the lower piston chamber 21 is conveyed into the upper piston chamber 22 with air, if necessary, via the sealing sleeve which, although blocking the upper piston chamber to the lower piston chamber, allows medium and air to pass from the lower piston chamber to the upper piston chamber. The cycle described above is then repeated.
- FIGS clamped membrane 23 is provided instead of the delimiting element consisting of a sealing sleeve and sleeve guide that divides the piston chamber 4 into a lower and an upper piston chamber.
- the membrane is held on its inner side surrounding the metering piston 8 by an annular holder 24, which is sealed to the outside via a sealing ring 25 between the holder and the outer surface of the metering piston 8.
- the compression spring 17 is again provided in such a way that the socket 24 bears against the stop 18 in its outermost position shown in FIG. 4.
- dosing agents and air bubbles located therein are again torn out of the pump chamber 3, and venting takes place.
- the dosing agent in the pump chamber 3 is conveyed to the dosing point via the outlet 10.
- the membrane 23 conveys excess dosing agent and air via the pressure valve 13 and the return line 12 to the outside or back into the dosing agent container. The cycle described is then continued.

Description
- Fig. 1
- einen Schnitt durch eine erste Ausführungsform einer Dosierpumpe im Rückhub;
- Fig. 2
- die in Fig. 1 gezeigte Dosierpumpe im Zustand des Arbeitshubes;
- Fig. 3
