Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lamp, in particular an explosion-proof emergency lamp, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention relates to an explosion-protected emergency person who is to be equipped with low-energy light sources with high luminous efficacy.
  • Explosion-proof emergency lights have so far only been equipped with uneconomical light sources, in particular with incandescent lamps, the emergency light being manufactured as a metal-glass light. Some of these metal and glass lights are still manufactured today.
  • the base of the luminaire consists of metal, in which the individual components required for the power supply of the incandescent lamps and possibly also batteries are accommodated; a cover trough made of glass is attached to this metal base body by suitable wire or metal grid arrangements is protected against breakage.
  • These known luminaires are problematic for many areas of use and, due to the metallic base body, which usually consists of steel or cast iron, are also very susceptible to corrosion, especially when luminaires of this type are used in certain corrosive atmospheres.
  • a lamp of the type mentioned has become known.
  • This has a transparent cover trough made of plastic, an intermediate plate and a luminaire base containing electrical components.
  • the cover trough carries an external thread that is screwed into an internal thread section on the intermediate plate.
  • the cover trough and the luminaire base are fastened to the intermediate plate on opposite sides thereof.
  • the external thread section is formed directly on the cover trough, so that when the external thread section is screwed into the internal thread section, stresses which can lead to stress corrosion cracking cannot be avoided.
  • the light source used in this lamp is obviously an incandescent lamp in which the luminous efficacy is relatively low.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a lamp of the type mentioned, in which the corrosion problems are reduced and which can also be equipped with light sources with high luminous efficacy.
  • a major advantage of the invention is that due to the special design, the cover trough made of thermoplastic material, such as polycarbonate and the like, and the intermediate plate, which together with the cover trough forms a pressure-resistant housing, also made of a plastic, here made of thermoset. This is made possible by the fact that the intermediate plate carries the internal thread area which is attached to a metal ring inserted into the intermediate plate.
  • a lamp which comprises a cover trough, an intermediate plate and a lamp base made of plastic material.
  • the plastic material can be thermoplastic material, such as. B. be polycarbonate.
  • connection of the flange, on which the external thread is arranged or formed, with the cover trough takes place according to the solution according to the invention in such a way that mechanical stresses, which can possibly lead to stress corrosion, are prevented, so that the service life of the unit of cover trough and intermediate plate is sufficiently long for normal operating times and operating conditions.
  • a mechanical tension-free connection cover pan - flange is effected.
  • the intermediate plate which according to claim 3 has the plate-like section and the cylindrical edge attached to it, carries the internal thread section at its edge, in which the metal ring is inserted, preferably cast in and molded, on the inner surface of the cylindrical edge.
