Definitions

  • the invention relates to a press which can be used, in particular, for producing dimensionally stable compacts from powdery materials, but which is also suitable for other purposes, for example in the fields of plastics pressing technology and stamping technology.
  • the invention is based on a press with a press frame, in which a press frame and a press table are provided as the main and leading axis, which are coupled to one another by a drive with a positive fit and form a main press ram.
  • These can be presses with a mechanical drive, primarily a toggle lever drive. However, the use of hydraulic presses is also possible.
  • Hydraulic automatic presses are already known for producing dimensionally stable compacts from powdery materials, which can also be used in the production of complex molded parts, in particular those with one or more graduated shapes (see, for example, DE-OS 31 42 126).
  • the actual press tool works with its own press axis, to which a special hydraulic drive is assigned within the press, in such a way that each of these hydraulic drives has a different working path relative to the press tool between its filling position and its pressing position must be run through or controlled.
  • a press frame and a press table are provided as the main and leading axis in a press frame, which are coupled to one another by a mechanical drive, primarily a toggle lever drive, and form a main press ram.
  • a hydraulic press part with at least one additional press axis, but preferably several additional press axes, is provided in front of the main press ram between the press frame and press table.
  • the working movement of each press axis of the hydraulic press part is controlled and regulated as a function of time and time by the working movement of the main and leading axis of the mechanical press part consisting of press frame and press table.
  • the present invention aims to provide a press of the type specified at the outset, including the type described last, which can be set up for various machining tasks without problems and without time-consuming conversion work.
  • it is important to vary the movements of the main press ram and the press tool die, at least temporarily, within predetermined limits.
  • a hydraulic press part with at least two additional press axes, but preferably more than two additional press axes is provided in front of the main press ram between the press frame and press table, in that a hydraulic coupling system between the press frame and press table and the additional press axes can be switched on or on, so that the coupling system has a variable transmission ratio, and that the additional press axes of the hydraulic press part can be actuated and / or controlled via the press frame of the main press ram.
  • the hydraulic press part is designed as a so-called adapter and can thus be retrofitted into an already existing press, it is in itself irrelevant whether it is a hydraulic press or a press with the existing press mechanical drive. It proves to be particularly expedient, however, if the existing press has a mechanical drive, primarily a toggle lever drive.
  • its first press axis is only used to control the movement of the second press axis, depending on the interaction of the first press axis with the moving press frame of the main press ram.
  • the transmission ratio of the coupling device between 1: 1 and 1: 0.25, preferably can be changed in even increments. It has proven useful if the transmission ratio can also be set to 1: 0.75 and 1: 0.5.
  • the coupling system can consist of two piston-cylinder systems which can be connected to one another by means of fluid lines, the first or primary piston-cylinder system having several, e.g. comprises four identical piston-cylinder units, while each other or secondary piston-cylinder system has a piston-cylinder unit.
  • the displacement volume of all piston-cylinder units of the first or primary piston-cylinder system should be at least equal to the displacement volume in one of the piston-cylinder units of the second or secondary piston-cylinder system, each individual piston-cylinder unit of the second or secondary piston-cylinder system can be actuated as an independent press axis, and wherein each individual piston-cylinder unit is absolutely absolute and several of them simultaneously regulate or restrict each other. is or are controllable.
  • each abutment support carries an adjustment stop for the piston of the associated one Piston-cylinder unit, which in turn can consist of a wedge adjustment operable by an adjusting motor.
  • the required downward movement of the die after the completion of each pressing process to expose the workpiece - i.e. away from the bottom dead center of the press - or the upward ejection movement of the lower punch can be done purely mechanically, e.g. via a cam disc arranged to be driven in rotation in the press.
  • an inventive feature is that the matrix or the lower punch is directly controllable during the counter-pressing via the first or primary piston-cylinder system (M1 press axis) that via the primary piston-cylinder system and a first secondary piston-cylinder system the die is controllable in the pull-off process, that the movement of the lower punch can be controlled via the primary piston-cylinder system in connection with a second secondary piston-cylinder system (M3 press axis), and that primary piston-cylinder system in conjunction with a third, secondary piston-cylinder system a movement of the upper punch can be controlled (M4 press axis).
  • a hydromechanical press system 61 is shown as an exemplary embodiment, the mechanical press part of which can be formed in a particularly advantageous manner by a toggle press.
  • a section of the press table 62 and a section of the press frame 63 are shown of this toggle press.
  • the press table 62 is fixedly carried by a press frame, relative to which the press frame 63 can be raised and lowered.
  • a hydraulic press part can of course also be used, which would also have a stationary press table 62 and a press frame 63 that can be raised and lowered relative to it.
  • a hydraulic press part 64 is adapted between the stationary press table 62 and the press frame 63 that can be raised and lowered, in which the actual press tool 65 is in turn used.
  • the main press ram of the hydromechanical press system 61 is formed by the cooperation of the press table 62 and the press frame 63 and is effective as the so-called main and leading axis - the so-called X-axis - for the entire hydromechanical press system 61.
  • the hydraulic press part 64 of the hydromechanical press system 61 also forms at least one further press axis, but preferably a plurality of further press axes within the hydromechanical press system 61.
  • the hydraulic press part 64 can be designed such that it contains one or more additional press axes, so-called M press axes, and optionally also an auxiliary press axis.
  • M1 press axis M2 press axis
  • M3 press axis M4 press axis for appropriate differentiation.
  • the M1 press axis acts directly on the die 85 of the press tool 65 and is formed by a piston-cylinder system 66.
  • This piston-cylinder system 66 comprises several, for example four, piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b, 67c, 67d, which are each arranged in the corner zones of the housing or frame 68 of the hydraulic press part (64), as is particularly the case clearly shown in FIG. 2
  • the M2 press axis is formed by a piston-cylinder system 69 which comprises a piston-cylinder unit 70.
  • This piston-cylinder unit 70 is in alignment with the Longitudinal axis of the hydraulic press part 64 installed in its housing or frame 68. Basically, it is intended to control the die 85 of the press tool 65 in the pull-press process, as can be clearly seen in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • Identical piston-cylinder units 95 and 97 can be used for additional movement control of the lower punch and upper punch of the press tool 65 - as M3 and M4 press axes.
  • each lower cylinder chamber 73 has these piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b, 67c and 67d a fluid line 74 is connected.
  • the fluid lines 74 can optionally be connected to the upper cylinder space 77 of the piston-cylinder unit 70 of the piston-cylinder system 69 - the M2 press axis - in such a way that one, two, three or four fluid lines 74 to the connecting line 76 are opened by the control device 75.
  • Piston-cylinder unit 70 The upper cylinder space 77 of the piston-cylinder system 69 forming Piston-cylinder unit 70 is hermetically separated from lower cylinder chamber 79 by piston 78.
  • the lower cylinder chamber 79 is kept constantly under a constant preset or supporting pressure, which can be between 10 and 25 bar, and the piston 78 within the piston-cylinder unit 70 in its upper end position is closed by a control device 80 and a connecting line 81 keep looking.
  • the operation of the piston-cylinder system 69 is also reversible. As a dynamic pressure during calibration, this pressure can be up to 350 bar and can be zeroed in the desired position in order to form a floating die.
  • the abutment pieces 82 meet the interchangeably attached end pieces 100 of the piston rods 71 at a time determined by the respective setting and thereby move the pistons 72 of the piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b, 67c and 67d in the sense of a reduction in volume of the lower cylinder spaces 73 inevitably downwards.
  • the hydraulic fluid contained therein is consequently displaced in an appropriate amount by the fluid lines 74 from the lower cylinder chamber 73.
  • the number (one to four) of the inserted end pieces 100 and the control device 75 determine which number of fluid lines 74 convey via the connecting line 76 into the upper cylinder space 77 of the piston-cylinder unit 70 of the piston-cylinder system 69. Therefore, the corresponding amount of hydraulic fluid is pressed into the upper cylinder space 77 of the piston-cylinder unit 70, so that a corresponding displacement of the piston 78, either in the downward or in the upward direction, is forced.
  • the stroke path traversed by the piston 78 corresponds exactly to the stroke path which the piston 72 has traversed in the piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b, 67c and 67d. If only the fluid lines 74 of three piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b and 67c are connected to the upper cylinder space 77 via the control device 75 and the connecting line 76, then the stroke distance of the piston 78 to the stroke distance of the pistons 72 is 0.75: 1 .
  • the piston-cylinder units 67a to 67d can also operate several different piston-cylinder systems at the same time, for example the piston-cylinder systems 69, 95 and 97, as are provided for the additional M-press axes - for example the M2- to M4-press axes . However, the operation then takes place with a changed path ratio.
  • the pressing tool 65 has a die 85, which rests in a die table 86, which in turn is supported by columns 87 which protrude from a yoke 88.
  • the yoke 88 is in turn held by a press ram 89, which is effective as part of the piston 78 of the piston-cylinder unit 70 of the piston-cylinder system 69, as is readily apparent from FIG. 2.
  • the columns 87 are slidably guided through a carrier plate 90 which is firmly clamped in the housing or frame 68 and on which the lower punch 91 of the pressing tool 65 rests in a stationary manner. With this press function, a widespread manufacturing process is taken into account.
  • the upper punch 92 of the pressing tool 65 is suspended from a carrier plate 93, which is in guide connection by means of guide columns 94 with the die table 86, as can be seen in FIG. 1.
  • the relative movement of the upper punch 92 to the lower punch 91 of the pressing tool 65 is determined by the predetermined stroke of the press frame 63 relative to the press table 62, while the relative movement of the die 85 taking place parallel thereto by the piston-cylinder system 69 or the piston-cylinder unit 70 is controlled.
  • the actuating movement of the piston-cylinder system 69 or the piston-cylinder unit 70 is directly dependent on the Piston-cylinder system 66 or its piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b, 67c and 67d, which in turn can be influenced by the movement of the press frame 63 relative to the press table 62.
  • the piston-cylinder units 67a, 67b, 67c and 67d of the piston-cylinder system 66 either act directly as an M 1 press axis or indirectly, namely together with the piston-cylinder unit 70 as M2 press axis, in connection with the piston-cylinder unit 95 as M3 press axis and in connection with the piston-cylinder unit 97 as M4 press axis. They are coupled or can be coupled with the main press ram - the so-called X-press axis - in such a way that they can bring about positive control of another press axis - the so-called M-press axis - of the hydromechanical press system 61 with different, selectable transmission ratios.
  • the application of the M-press axis only begins when the abutment pieces 82 hit the ends of the piston rods 71 or the end pieces 100 inserted there, this point in time can be varied within predetermined limits via the adjustment stops 83 and the associated adjustment motor.
  • the respective transmission ratio can, for example. Based on the piston-cylinder unit 70 of the M2 press axis between 0.25: 1 and 1: 1, vary gradually during the pressing process with the help of the control device 75 appropriately.
  • the hydraulic press part 64 can be equipped differently with M press axes and also with additional auxiliary axes if necessary. Basically, the hydraulic press part 64 should all means for forming the M1 and M2 press axes, that is, contain at least the piston-cylinder system 66 and the piston-cylinder system 69.
  • the piston-cylinder units 95 and 97 for the M3 and M4 press axes or even for other M press axes can optionally be provided by retrofitting.
  • the M3 press axis in the form of a piston-cylinder unit 95 is installed according to the drawing in the ram 89.
  • the piston-cylinder unit 97 provided as the M4 press axis can be accommodated, for example, in FIG. 1 in the carrier plate 93 in such a way that its piston 98 acts on the upper punch 92 of the press tool 65 via the piston rod 99.
  • the hydraulic press part 64 of the type described above can also be equipped with a Y press axis and a Z press axis.
  • the lower cylinder spaces 73 would then have to be decoupled from the fluid lines 74 and the piston-cylinder system 69 by suitable shut-off measures.
  • the press die 89 can then be actuated purely mechanically, for example via a cam disk of the mechanical press part, the movement of which is derived, for example, from the toggle lever drive, which actuates a lever 96 which can act on the lower end of the press die 89.
  • the lever 96 according to FIG. 1 of the drawing can be used to cause the withdrawal movement of the die 85 downward after the completion of each individual pressing operation in a purely mechanical way, namely against the preset or supporting pressure of the cylinder space 79.
  • the lever 96 then only needs to be moved via an appropriately designed cam disk coupled to the mechanical press drive.
