  • the temporary use prefabricat­ed signaletics strips according to the present inven­tion which is overally indicated at the reference number 1,comprises a base layer 2 made of not cured resilient materials,for example of the acrylonitrile­butadiene type or of the butadiene-styrene,polychloro­ prene,ethylene-propylene,chlorosulphonated poly­ethylene,chlorurated polyethylene type,with the addi­tion of suitable plasticizing materials such as chloroparaffines,cumarone resins,polyvinyl chloride,­EVA with pigments and fillers.

  • a further surface glass bead layer can be provided which is anchored by means of a polymeric film 5 applied in a liquid condition on the top surface of the sheet and then dried.
  • This film having a suitable thickness,correspond­ing to about a half of the diameter of the glass beads, preferably consists of a pigmented acrylic emulsion having a high binding property for the poly­meric material and the glass material and good anti­wear characteristics.
  • a reinforcement layer is further provided wich consists of a net 7 which is applied to the base layer immediately after the calender­ing step,by means of a hot rolling step.
  • This reinforcement layer can consist of a metal or plastics net or of a so called cord type of fabric.
  • This net preferably of a nylon or polyester material,has a square or rectangular mesh,the greater side whereof extending longitudinally of the strip.

  • the net is partially embedded in tha base layer and,owing to the indicated width of the net meshes,­it does not alter the properties of the strips to fit the ground.
  • a suitable adhesive layer can be applied by rolling,said adhesive layer being indicated at 10,preferably of the type based on a butyl-polyiso­ butylene solution,coated on a siliconized paper.
  • This adhesive can be protected by a plastics siliconiz­ed liner 11,or left in a free condition,in which case the top acrylic layer supporting the glass beads may contain antiadhesive aids,such as silicones or fluorine derivatives.
  • the strip according to the invention can be easily applied to the road surface simply by pressing said strip on said road surface.
