Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing a single-skin packaging for tabular goods, in particular chocolate bars, and furthermore shows a single-skin packaging for such tabular goods with the features specified in the preamble of claim 5.
- DE-A-34 44 950 shows an envelope packaging of the type specified in claim 5 made of a rectangular and cut out of sealable material according to the table dimensions, in which the longitudinal sealing seam of the wrapping material hose on the Longitudinal side of the panel is provided.
- This longitudinal sealing seam is arranged and formed such that the relevant cut parts begin in the area of the upper longitudinal edge of the board, which results between the top of the board as a large area of the board and a long side of the board.
- the material of the longitudinal sealing seam at least partially reaches the area of the panel following the longitudinal seam when the protruding blank part is folded towards the underside of the panel or the casing material tube.
- a sheet of material is used as a cut, which is cut out in corner areas following the cover sheet, so that no underlap occurs here and the cover sheet is also not part of the wrapping material tube, but protrudes from it during the production of the wrapper and only at the end of the packaging process turned over to the underside of the board and fixed there.
- the attachment of the gates to the blank requires an additional operation, although it is of course possible to give the cover sheet the desired, slightly trapezoidal outline, which can otherwise only be achieved by an underlap. But here, too, the single-skin packaging already has the proper appearance of an envelope fold.
- the attachment of a forehead fold on the one hand and a transverse seal are possible without any problems, because the notches on the blank have no connection with the blank part forming the cover sheet and therefore do not interfere with it.
- EP-A 0 161 214 or also DE-A 36 05 783 also show a wrapper and a method for its production, in which a single, i.e. one-piece, rectangularly delimited and multi-layer blank is used, which may or may not be heat-sealable .
- a layer of the multilayer blank can consist of an aluminum foil. The cut becomes asymmetrical around the board laid around so that a protruding blank is formed.
- To form the wrapping material tube a longitudinal sealing seam is made on a long side of the sheet by means of a corresponding seal by sealing the free edge of the blank against the underside of the blank part. Then the front ends of the wrapping material hose are folded in and folded against the underside of the board.
- cover sheet is formed from the blank and folded over onto the underside of the panel, in such a way that the folds of the end faces are partially covered.
- the longitudinal seal seam is applied so that it extends following the edge that is formed between the underside of the board and a long side of the board.
- the longitudinal seal seam is part of the protruding blank or cover sheet, not the wrapping material hose.
- CH-A 327 555 shows a method and a packaging for tabular objects, in particular chocolate bars, in which a rectangular blank made of heat-sealable material or of material with a heat-sealable coating is used.
- the blank is first placed in a U shape around the panel to be packaged in such a way that the blank material is distributed symmetrically with respect to a long side of the panel and the two legs of the blank material lie on the two large surfaces of the panels.
- the two protruding blank parts are then folded up parallel to the other long side of the sheet and connected to one another in the longitudinal direction by a heat seal seam.
- the two edges of the blank joined together in this way are unfolded onto the top of the panel, so that the edges cut through the large area.
- a sheath material tube is formed from the blank, the ends of which protrude at the ends are folded in and these end folds are folded over at a right angle to the panel. In this position, cross sealing takes place using heat. The folded end faces are then folded onto the underside of the board.
- the invention has for its object to show a single-walled packaging and a method for its production, in which the notching of the blank from sealable material is saved and while maintaining the appearance of an envelope fold, the tightness of the packaging is improved in particular by enabling a transverse seal.
- the method according to the invention for producing a single-skin packaging for tabular goods is characterized by the features specified in claim 1. Doing so proceeding from a rectangularly limited blank, then, following the formation of the longitudinal seal seam, the blank part projecting beyond the longitudinal seal seam is placed on the underside of the panel, so that the blank part as a component of the wrapping material tube also surrounds the panel. In this state, after the forehead fold has been applied, the envelope material tube protruding from the head ends of the panel, including the longitudinal sealing seam, is tightly closed at both ends by a transverse seal, which is also guided over the blank.
- the blank After the cross-sealing, the blank is swiveled away from the wrapping material hose in order to fold the parts of the wrapping material hose covered by the cross-sealing and forehead fold and only afterwards to fold the blank part back onto the underside of the panel, forming underlaps, and to fix it there.
- the longitudinal sealing seam of the casing material hose at another point, namely following the longitudinal edge of the board between the top of the board and a long side, various advantages are achieved.
- the longitudinal seal seam moves away from the cover sheet into the area of the forehead fold and the longitudinal seal seam does not hinder the formation of the underlap on the cover sheet.
- the longitudinal sealing seam also does not hinder the implementation of the forehead folding and the transverse sealing, just as little as the cover sheet itself.
- the cut part can be held as part of the wrapping material hose in contact with the underside of the panel while the transverse sealing is being carried out.
- the cut part lies with its sealable layer against the outside of the cut, where there is no sealable layer. As a result, the cut part is not connected to the forehead folding parts, despite the inclusion in the transverse sealing seam, but can be opened and closed again by pivoting.
- the entire material can be painted over in the corresponding areas during the transverse sealing, without a protruding blank or cover sheet hindering this transverse sealing.
- the cross sealing is thus easier and more reliable than in the prior art.
- the wrapper does not get the appearance of a tubular bag package, but it advantageously retains the decorative appearance of an envelope fold, as is appreciated by chocolate buyers.
- the envelope material hose protruding at the head ends of the panel can be folded in in a targeted and defined manner, with the exception of the cut part, and the parts of the envelope material tube can be brought into the plane determined by the underside of the panel, so that the transverse sealing takes place in this position.
- the cut part, including its material areas that later form the fold, is located in a plane in which the other material parts of the forehead fold also come to rest.
- the cross seal can be carried out easily at this level and it seals the wrapper.
- the underlap is formed when the parts of the cross-sealed envelope material hose are folded under.
- the longitudinal seal seam does not hinder the formation of the flap and this can be advantageously carried out so that the cover sheet gets a slightly trapezoidal outline, but which covers the essential surface of the underside of the board.
- the wrapping for tabular goods of the type described in the preamble of claim 5 is characterized according to the invention in that the cut is rectangular, that the cover sheet is formed by folding in the folds, so that the cover sheet and the folds are provided free of components of the longitudinal sealing seam, and that the forehead fold is bridged by a transverse sealing seam, which is arranged in the partial area of the forehead fold, which is folded over onto the underside of the panel and covered by the cover sheet.
- the arrangement of the longitudinal sealing seam of the wrapping material hose has an advantageous effect not only when using cut-out blanks, but also when using rectangularly limited blanks, because the longitudinal sealing seam is included in the area of the wrapping material hose and thus reinforces a longitudinal side of the wrapping material hose in the protruding area, which is good for the wrinkling of the forehead folds is quite beneficial.
- the application of the forehead fold and a transverse sealing seam without hindrance by attached cut parts is only possible if the protruding cut part is turned over on the underside of the panel before the forehead fold is formed, which usually happens much later during the manufacturing process. However, this enables the forehead folding to be carried out with defined, reproducible fold lines.
- This defined forehead fold is in turn a prerequisite for the attachment the transverse sealing seam in such a state that tightness is achieved in this area right into the corners.
- the transverse sealing seam can thus extend across the entire width of the forehead fold, bridging it. This advantageously also counteracts the formation of cannulas which endanger the tightness of the single-sleeve packaging. Since the cut part turned down is not sealed in spite of the transverse sealing being carried out because its sealable layer bears against a non-sealable layer of the forehead fold, the cut part can be opened again after the transverse sealing and the cover sheet formed from it by applying underlaps can then finally be folded back onto the underside after the forehead folds have been folded over.
- a chocolate bar 1 is shown or indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2, which has a top 2 and a bottom 3 as large areas. As further surfaces, the chocolate bar 1 has two long sides 4 and 5 and two end faces 6.
- the two ends of the blank protrude freely from an upper longitudinal edge 8, which is formed as an edge between the upper side 2 and the long side 4, but differently far.
- the relative position is such that the shorter end of the blank 7 rests in the end region on the long side 4 and an end strip 9 with its coated side faces upwards, the width of which corresponds to the height of the long side 4, so that the end edge of the blank is at 3 and 4 in the area of a lower longitudinal edge 10, which is formed on the chocolate bar 1 between the long side 4 and the underside 3 as an edge.
- a longitudinal sealing seam 11 is formed in the area of the end strip 9, which is indicated by two arrows in FIG. 2 and covers the relevant areas of the blank 7 more or less completely or partially. It is important that this longitudinal sealing seam 11 forms a wrapping material tube 12 around the cross section of the chocolate bar 1, which already produces the required tightness in the longitudinal direction.
- the asymmetrically protruding end of the blank 7 forms a blank part 13, which is dimensioned in its width so that after being folded onto the underside 3 of the tablet 1, this underside is essentially covered and almost a lower longitudinal edge 14 of the chocolate bars 1 is reached, which is formed as an edge between the bottom 3 and the long side 5.
- the region of the longitudinal sealing seam 11 of the blank 7 is folded over and counterfolded against the long side 4 of the chocolate bar 1 and, in continuation thereof, the blanking part 13 is folded under parallel to the underside 3 of the bar 1 , so that the state according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is reached and the cutting part 13 has become part of the enveloping material hose 12, as it were.
- This reinforcing effect supports or facilitates the formation of a defined forehead fold with defined and specifically placed fold lines 15, 16, areas 17 and 18 initially being folded over laterally, as is shown in FIG. 5 and completed in FIG. 6.
- the area 17 corresponds to the multi-layer material and contains the longitudinal sealing seam 11.
- the longitudinal sealing seam 11 is therefore not part of the blank 13 (or a cover sheet formed thereafter), which is still folded parallel to the underside 3 of the chocolate bar 1.
- transverse sealing seam 21 is applied by transverse sealing in both end regions, which is illustrated by a double dashed line.
- pressure in the direction of the arrows 22 is applied.
- material combines in which the coated sides are arranged facing each other.
- the cut part 13, over which the cross seal is also passed, lies with its sealable layer against an outside of the cut 7, so that it does not bond.
- the transverse sealing seams 21 also extend over fold lines and ultimately lead to the chocolate bar being tightly enclosed or closed in connection with the longitudinal sealing seam 11.
- the The blank 13 When this forehead fold is attached, the The blank 13 has a folded edge 23, which runs obliquely and represents the transition point between the components of the forehead fold and an underlap 24, which is formed from corner regions of the blank 13, as is illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9.
- the cutting part 13 can be opened again, that is to say can be pivoted away from the underside 3 of the chocolate bar 1.
- This pivoting process permits an angle formation of approximately up to 120 °, the parts of the forehead fold with the gusset 19 being simultaneously possible in a position perpendicular to the large areas (2, 3) of the chocolate bar 1 or adjacent to the end faces 6.
- the fold line 23 is folded through 180 ° by completely folding the areas of the forehead fold, that is to say bringing them parallel to the underside 3 of the chocolate bar 1, as shown in FIG. 10.
- the cover sheet 25 formed from the blank 13 and the underlaps 24 already closes a little.
- the cover sheet 25 is folded up completely onto the underside 3 of the chocolate bar 1 and connected to the material areas of the forehead fold and the blank 7 located there, this connection being able to be made by gluing, the details of which, however, are not shown for reasons of clarity
- Folds 24 are folded slightly obliquely, but in such a way that the areas of the forehead fold folded down are covered by the folds 24 and the cover sheet 25.
- the packaged board 1 thus has the classic appearance of an envelope fold and the underside of the packaging is also covered over the entire surface due to the largely continuous cover sheet 25.
