Definitions

  • the invention relates to a wrapper with the features specified in claim 1 and at the same time also shows a method for producing such a wrapper.
  • a wrapper of a similar type is described in the subsequently published EP-A-161 214 with prior priority with respect to the contracting states GB and IT.
  • a method for producing a wrapper for tabular goods, in particular chocolate bars is described, in which a single, multi-layered blank is used, which can be heat-sealable.
  • a layer of the multilayer blank can consist of an aluminum foil.
  • the blank is placed asymmetrically around the board so that a protruding cover sheet is formed.
  • To form a tube a longitudinal seam is made on a long side of the sheet by means of a seal by sealing the free edge of the blank against the underside of the cover sheet. Then the front ends of the wrapping material hose are folded in and folded against the underside of the board.
  • cover sheet is folded over onto the underside of the panel in such a way that the folds of the end faces are covered.
  • the longitudinal seam through the seal is applied in such a way that it extends following the edge which is formed between the underside of the panel and a longitudinal side of the panel.
  • CH-PS 327 555 shows a method and a packaging for tabular objects, in particular chocolate bars, in which a rectangular blank of heat-sealable material or of material with a heat-sealable coating is used.
  • the blank is first placed in a U-shape around the panel to be packaged in such a way that a symmetrical distribution of the blank material occurs with respect to a long side of the panel and the two legs of the blank material rest on the two large surfaces of the panels.
  • the two protruding blank parts are then folded up parallel to the other long side of the sheet and connected to one another in the longitudinal direction by a heat seal seam.
  • the two edges of the blank that are connected in this way are unfolded onto the top of the board, in such a way that the edges cut through the large area.
  • a sheath material tube is formed from the blank, the ends of which protrude at the ends are folded in and these end folds are folded over at a right angle to the panel.
  • cross sealing is carried out using heat.
  • the folded end faces are then folded onto the underside of the board. So that the packaging has no protrusions from the board, so that a banderole can be used as a second packaging element.
  • the first cut used usually consists of aluminum foil, which can be coated with a heat seal layer, so that the folding and sealing is no problem here and the tightness is already achieved by this first cut.
  • the disadvantage of this is that the thin aluminum foil is very susceptible to injury from impact or pressure.
  • the second blank is a paper blank that is folded and glued. The paper blank is not tight and does not need to be with regard to the first tight blank.
  • it already advantageously has the decorative appearance of an envelope fold.
  • a banderole instead of a second paper blank that completely envelops the board. This has the disadvantage that the shock-sensitive aluminum foil of the first blank can already be damaged during transport to the point of sale.
  • the invention is based on the object starting from a one-piece blank to show a single-walled packaging for tabular goods, in particular chocolate bars, which tightly encloses the bar and nevertheless has the appearance of an envelope fold as a finished packaging.
  • the cut should be easy and precise to fold around the board. Despite a longitudinal seam and a transverse seam, which are necessary for the tightness of the packaging, the packaging should largely resemble the known envelope fold in its external appearance. The part of the cut that ultimately comes to rest on the underside of the board should also be covered over the entire area.
  • the packaging should be carried out in such a way that when the packaging is opened, the packaging is destroyed in such a way that it cannot be closed properly, as in the new condition.
  • the one-piece blank surrounds the sheet asymmetrically to form a cover sheet.
  • a sheath material tube is formed from a part of the blank by a longitudinal seam and is closed in the area of the two head ends by a front fold and a transverse seam each.
  • the forehead fold with the transverse seam is folded over onto the underside of the panel.
  • the cover sheet of the blank is connected to the part of the wrapping material tube lying against the underside of the panel, the cover sheet covering folded-over areas of the forehead fold.
  • the longitudinal seam of the wrapping material tube is provided on the long side of the panel so that it is included in the material of the wrapping material tube and its arrangement at this point does not hinder the folding of the forehead fold, but even favors it.
  • the wrapper thus has the usual good appearance of an envelope fold, with the forehead fold also being realized with defined fold lines. Nevertheless, the longitudinal seam and both transverse seams create a tight package from a single, one-piece blank.
  • the usually printed advertising spaces on the top and on the underside of the board are provided continuously, so that the advertising can be read without any attachment or separation point.
  • the blank prefferably cut out on both long sides of the panel on the side carrying the cover sheet at both head ends in accordance with the respective panel length.
  • the function of the cover sheet is neatly separated from the function of the wrapping material and it is not necessary to take parts of the cover sheet into account when incorporating the forehead fold.
  • the material of the folded-over forehead fold can be connected to the part of the wrapping material tube lying against the underside of the panel. This provides the advantage that the packaging can only be opened, even if the connection between the cover sheet and the wrapping material tube on the underside of the panel is possibly inadequate, by first disrupting the connection between the forehead fold and the wrapping material tube.
  • the process for producing the wrapping for tabular goods is characterized in that the longitudinal seam of the wrapping material tube is formed at the upper longitudinal edge of the panel and is applied to the longitudinal side of the panel with the cutting part projecting beyond the longitudinal seam, and that the wrapping material tube protruding at the head ends of the panel is included the longitudinal seam is closed at both ends with a forehead fold before the cover sheet protruding over the longitudinal seam is folded onto the underside and fixed there.
  • the formation of the longitudinal seam on the edge of the panel between the top and the long side, since the cover sheet is turned in the direction of the underside of the panel, ensures that the longitudinal seam becomes part of the wrapping material hose, i.e.
  • the rigidity of the packaging achieved through the effect of stiffening the longitudinal seam is used sensibly for the forehead folding. This allows the forehead fold to be inserted with a defined and precise fold, so that the application of a transverse seal can also be carried out precisely before the forehead fold is completely folded in the direction of the underside of the panel.
  • the one-piece blank has successive blank parts 1, 2 and 3, which are placed around the panel T, as shown in FIG. 2. After the longitudinal edge of the blank 1 has been folded onto the protruding blank 3 which forms a cover sheet, a longitudinal seam 5 is formed on the upper longitudinal edge of the panel by welding or gluing.
  • the blank 3 is cut out in the area 7 shown in dash-dotted lines.
  • a protruding sheath material tube (FIGS. 4 and 5) forms at the ends A and B, which is now closed according to FIGS. 6 to 8 with a forehead fold.
  • This forehead fold is bent downwards according to FIG. 7 and folded onto the part of the wrapping material tube on the underside of the panel. It can be glued to this part of the casing material hose with cold or hot glue.
  • the blank 3 is placed as a cover sheet flat on the bottom of the table and firmly connected here by gluing or welding to the rest of the casing, with the front wedge on both Head ends of the board is covered by the cover sheet.
