Definitions

  • the invention relates to a clip for non-perforated documents, with two folder lids connected to one another along a simply folded back and an approximately U-shaped clip in cross section, which is slidably and captively held on the folder transversely to the spine axis.
  • a clip stapler of this type is already known, in which the rear folder cover is curved twice by 90 ° to form a back.
  • the narrow strip thus formed on the front is bent over again so that the turned part comes to rest between the strip and the rear wall.
  • the free edge is then folded back again to the front, so that a fold is formed, behind which the bent front edge is fixed (US Pat. No. 3,099,269).
  • This four-fold overturning of the film, which is made of hard PVC, represents a high outlay for production, which is reflected in a very high development price.
  • a folder with two cover lids connected by a flexible back and a clamping device (DE-A1-18 04 237), in which the clamping device attached to the cover lids has two clamping jaws enclosing a clamping gap between them.
  • the jaws are acted upon by a spring that can be pushed onto the clamping device.
  • the spring has tongues which interact with indentations on the clamping spring housing to limit the relative mobility of the clamping spring.
  • the invention is based on the object of providing a stapler which is simpler in construction and therefore less expensive to manufacture.
  • a clamping cap with the features of claim 1 is provided according to the invention.
  • the edge can be arranged in the area of the back or at a short distance from it.
  • the front leg of the clip no longer has to engage in a slot, it can also be arranged visibly on the front of the front folder cover.
  • the displaceability of the clip is limited in one direction in that the back of the folder lies against the inside of the web of the clip. In the opposite direction, the displaceability is limited in that the clip rests on the said edge. So that the clip can rest on this edge, it can have a barb-like profile.
  • the edge is formed by the edge of an incision or a slot. If this slot is located in the immediate area of the back of the folder, it will open automatically due to the tension of the material in the back area.
  • the front folder cover is formed by a narrow strip connected to the rear folder cover and by a translucent or transparent plastic sheet articulated on its edge via a film hinge.
  • a film hinge which can be made very easily when welding a plastic sheet, ensures that the clamp is not moved even when the folder is suddenly opened suddenly, so that the stapled document remains held. On it is also possible to scroll through this.
  • the front strip and / or the rear cover is double-walled in the area adjacent to the back of the folder.
  • This double wall can be produced, for example, by welding a strip forming the back to the rear folder cover and possibly a part of the front folder cover in the area of the back.
  • This strip can be formed from a softer material than the rear folder cover, which preferably consists of hard PVC. Due to the double wall, it is relatively easy to make slots or incisions that can be used to fix the clip.
  • the edge on which the clip rests can advantageously be formed by the edge of a punched-out area, the width of which approximately corresponds to the displacement path and the length of which approximately corresponds to the length of the front leg of the clip.
  • the free edge of the front leg of the clip can then lie in this cutout. In this way it is ensured that the clip is guided laterally when moving, so that the user is supported in handling the folder.
  • the contact edge for the clip is arranged on the rear side of the folder, ie in the area of the rear folder cover.
  • This has a great advantage in particular if the clamping cap is to be used for a thicker stack of documents, for example 3 and more mm thick. Then there is no longer any need to arrange barb-like profiling from the inside of the front leg, so that the available opening angle increases relatively.
  • it is of course sensible and possible to form a flat contact rib on the inner edge of the front leg, which reinforces the Holding pressure of the clamp leads.
  • this rib for example 0.2 mm thick, is so small that it practically does not impair the opening angle.
  • the clip has at least one tongue or the like which engages in an opening.
  • the arrangement of two evenly distributed tongues of this type is particularly favorable.
  • the openings in which these tongues engage can be designed, for example, in a pocket-like manner, so that the tongues move into them laterally.
  • the tongues extend in the extension of the clip and engage in a slot running transversely to the back. Through the slot, which is formed only in the outer wall of the double-walled part, the approaches are guided in the space between the two walls.
  • Various options can be provided for inserting the clip, for example slots in the clip which allow the lugs to spring together, or the like.
  • the clip is guided both on the front side and on the rear side and is designed to be able to be placed against contact surfaces.
  • the clip engages with its front leg in a slot arranged in the front folder cover, and the edge of the clip is fixed behind the edge of the slot facing the back of the folder.
  • an insert is fastened in the area of the slot on the side of the front cover facing the rear cover, such that the front leg of the clip engages the front of the insert. This prevents the staple from directly attacking the documents to be stapled.
  • the document lies between the insert and the rear folder cover.
  • the front folder cover is formed by a strip which may be integrally connected to the rear folder cover and a sheet fastened on its inside which extends between the strip and the rear folder cover up to approximately the edge facing the back of the folder of the slot extends.
  • the strip is approximately as wide as the front leg of the clip.
  • the strip and the rear folder cover can also consist of separate parts that are connected directly or with a back.
  • these parts can be connected to one another by a welding process, since several welding seams can also be produced in one welding process.
  • the front sheet is connected to the slot in the area of the slot only in the area of the edge of the strip facing away from the portfolio back. This means that a portion of the front sheet projecting inwards towards the back of the portfolio contains the insert forms on which the clip engages so that the clip does not touch the paper to be stapled.
  • the folder can be made of plastic. This has the required strength. It may be particularly favorable that the rear folder cover and possibly the strip are made of PVC, in particular hard PVC, while the front sheet can advantageously consist of a transparent or at least transparent plastic. This front sheet can also have a lower stiffness than the rear cover.
  • the previous clips made of spring steel have to be hardened, cleaned and painted. This is not always easy with the relatively complicated shape, so the results are not always satisfactory. For example, paint dust can also settle on the brackets. There is also a risk of rusting.
  • the invention therefore proposes to also manufacture the clip from plastic. This has the further advantage that it is no longer necessary to bend the front edge of the front leg, as in the case of spring steel clips, to prevent the clip from being pulled out, but that a small rear cut, for example in the form of an edge, is sufficient.
  • the clamping flap shown in FIG. 1 from the front has a front sheet 11, preferably made of transparent or translucent plastic, which is attached to a strip 12, in particular welded on.
  • the strip 12 forms the back 13 of the clamping flap in the region of its left side in FIG. 1.
  • Behind the front sheet is the rear folder cover 14 which is visible through the front sheet 11.
  • the rear folder cover 14 and the strip 12 are punched out in one piece from a piece of film, in particular from hard PVC, and folded over to form the back 13.
  • the welds required for this can be produced in one welding process, so that neither the costs nor the production time increase.
  • the strip 12 is centered on its longitudinal extent and incision 15 cut parallel to back 13. This is at a small distance from the back 13 of, for example, about 3-5 mm.
  • An elastic clip indicated in FIG. 1 can be pushed onto the folder, the cross section of which is approximately U-shaped and the two legs of which are biased towards one another. By pushing on the clamp 16, unpunched documents can be clamped between the front sheet 11 and the rear folder cover 14. The clip 16 is held in such a way that, once it has been inserted, it cannot easily be released again. It is displaceable in the direction transverse to the back 13.
  • FIG. 2 shows an enlarged top view of the region of the clamping cap, around the incision 15.
  • the front sheet 11 is welded by means of a weld seam 17 in the region of the edge 18 of the strip 12 facing away from the back 13, the weld seam being designed such that it forms a film hinge. As a result, the front sheet 11 can be opened around the hinge, so that the folder can be leafed through.
  • Fig. 3 shows on the same scale as Fig. 2 a section approximately along line III-III in Fig. 2.
  • the incision 15 is still arranged in an area of the clip where this has a certain tension due to the folding in the back. As a result, the slot opens slightly, so that an edge 19 directed away from the back 13 is created. This edge is most clearly in the middle of the incision 15, while it is less pronounced in the edge region of the incision 15.
  • the length of the incision 15 is somewhat greater than the length of the clip 16 measured in the same direction.
  • the clip 16 is approximately U-shaped, see left in FIG. 3, and has a rear leg 20 which is connected to the front leg 22 via an arc 21.
  • the plastic existing clip 16 is formed in the normal state, ie in the relaxed state, that the two legs 20, 22 are in the position shown.
  • a barb-like profile 23 is formed, which is used to hold the clip 16.
  • the clip 16 is made of plastic and has spring properties. To apply the clip 16 to the clip cap, the clip 16 is spread apart and pushed onto the clip cap. The distance between the ends of the legs 20, 22 in the undeformed state of the clamp 16 depends on the dimensions, ie essentially the thickness of the unfilled clamping cap.
  • the clip 16 can be moved between an extreme position, in which the back 13 rests against the inside of the arc 21 of the clip 16, and a second position, transversely to the back, in which the barb-like profile 23 bears against the edge 19 of the incision 15. In this latter position, sheets can be inserted between the front sheet 11 and the rear back cover 14, which are then jammed by moving the clip 16.
  • the front leg 22 of the clip is always on the front, i. H. the outside of the strip 12. While in the embodiment of FIG. 3 the rear folder cover 14 integrally merged into the strip 12, in the embodiment of FIG. 4, which also represents a cross section, the strip 12 is formed by a thin film which is guided around the back 13.
  • the clamping tab is thus double-walled in a region corresponding to the width of the strip 12 parallel to the back 13.
  • a weld seam 24 is provided, which, together with another weld seam 24a running parallel to the incision and the following weld seam 24b, serve on the inside of the strip 12 to attach a narrow strip 25 made of hard PVC.
  • a front sheet made of transparent or translucent plastic film is welded to the edge 18 of the strip.
  • the clamping tab is again double-walled in the area adjacent to the back 13.
  • the strip 25, which is made of hard PVC and behind the front strip 12, at the point where the edge 19 or 29 lies in the previous embodiments, a bead 30.
  • This bead 30 protrudes forward from the surface of the strip 12. It also serves to hold the clip with the help of its barb-like profile.
  • the front strip 12 also has a punched-out portion at this point, the edge of which would form a contact edge 29 reinforcing the bead 30.
  • the clip While in the previously dealt with embodiments the clip is secured against pulling off at the front of the clamping cap, in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 the clip is guided at the back of the clamping cap and secured against pulling down.
  • the rear leg 40 of the clip 39 contains an approximately rectangular recess 41 running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the clip, on the edge 42 of which is distant from the arch 21 a tongue 43 which lies approximately in the plane of the rear leg 40 of the clip in the recess 41 protrudes.
  • the tongue 43 is approximately half as long as the recess 41.
  • the free end 44 of the tongue 43 is chamfered somewhat, see FIG. 9, and if appropriate is formed so as to protrude into the space between the two legs 45, 46.
  • Fig. 10 shows the clip in the position in which it holds the paper in the clip. To release the clip is moved into the position shown in the upper half of FIG. 10, in which the tongue 43 engages in the recess 65.
  • the recess 65 in the embodiment of FIG. 10 is formed by a tunnel-like bending of the material on the back of the clamping cap. In the illustrated embodiment therefore the recesses 65 open from both sides.
  • the clip shown in FIG. 10 from the rear has two recesses 41 with tongues 43, whereby under certain circumstances it may also be sufficient to use only one such recess with tongue 43.
  • the front leg 45 has a flat rounded abutment rib 46 in the region of its edge, which is substantially flatter than the barb-like profile 23 in the bracket 16. Due to the much smaller depth of the rib 46, the available opening angle of the clip 39 is therefore much larger, so that this embodiment can also be used for thicker paper stacks.
  • a pocket 47 is arranged in the rear of the clamping flap, which is only open on one side, i. H. the opening of which points away from the back 13.
  • the same bracket 39 can be used in the embodiment according to FIG. 11 as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 9 and 10.
  • a clip 48 is used, the rear leg 49 of which has two projections 50 projecting in the longitudinal direction of the clip 48.
  • two slit-like incisions 52 run in the rear leg 49, which extend over practically the entire width of the rear leg 49 and lead to the lugs 50 being resilient.
  • the lugs 50 engage in slots 53 of the double-walled clamping clip in this area, the slots 53 extending transversely to the back 13 of the clamping clip.
  • the clamp 54 has two similarly designed lugs 55.
  • the rear leg 56 is inserted overall through a slot 57 which runs parallel to the back 13 of the clamping tab.
  • the two lugs 55 prevent the clip from being pulled out.
  • an incision 59 is provided parallel to the free edge 58 of the rear leg 56, by means of which it is possible to move the clip 54 downward in FIG. 13 so that the upper attachment 55 can be pulled out .
  • FIG 14 shows an embodiment in which the clamp 60 has both a barb-like profile 23 on the free edge of its front leg and such a profile 61 on the free edge of its rear leg.
  • the barb-like profile 23 of the front leg is guided similarly to the embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7, while the rear leg 62 engages in a pocket formed by a slot 63 and is guided in this by the profile 61.
  • a guide of the front leg can be provided on the front similar to the embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7 without the clip needing to have a barb there.
  • Embodiments are of course conceivable in which both a guide is provided on the front side and on the rear side.
  • features of the guide on the back can be combined with features on the front.
  • FIG. 15 An insert 70 is provided here, which is elongated and has two lateral plate-like projections 71.
  • the two plate-like projections 71 are connected to one another in one piece by a bend 72 which is approximately U-shaped in cross section.
  • the bend has two approximately perpendicular side walls 73 which are connected to one another by a cover 74.
  • the roof-like cover 74 is slightly curved so that the bend from the side is slightly desk-shaped.
  • An opening 75 for receiving a tongue 43 or 50 and 55 is formed on the right side in FIG. 15.
  • the insert 70 shown in FIG. 15 is inserted from below through an opening 76 in a folder cover, preferably the rear folder cover 14, so that the opening 75 for receiving the tongue is arranged on the outside of the folder cover.
  • the relatively large lugs 71 mean that the material is not stressed so much that the service life is increased. If the side walls 73 are arranged slightly obliquely, so that the bend 72 on their upper side is somewhat larger than in the area of the plate-shaped projections 71, a certain locking of the insert 70 in the opening 76 of the folder cover 14 can also be achieved.
  • the insert 70 can interact with the most varied of embodiments of the clamping cap, it also being possible, of course, to provide an insert which has two bends 72 to form two openings 75. Such an insert could then interact with brackets of the design form according to FIGS. 10 and 11.
  • the use of the insert 70 of FIG. 15 also makes it possible to produce the folder cover, for example from cardboard, since the Guiding and holding the clamp then the insert 70 is used.
  • FIG. 16 shows a section through a further folder in the region of its back 13.
  • the rear folder cover 14 and the strip 12 are punched out in one piece from a plastic film, preferably hard PVC, and folded to form the back 13.
  • the front sheet 11 is fastened, preferably welded.
  • the weld seam 81 is located in the region of the free edge 82 of the strip 12.
  • the front sheet 11 extends to just before the inside of the back 13 into the space between the strip 12 and the rear cover 14. It therefore extends somewhat further than up to the edge of the slot facing the back 13.
  • the clip 84 which is made of spring steel, for example, has an approximately U-shaped cross section, formed by a rear leg 85 and a front leg 87 connected to it via a web 86.
  • the front leg 87 is due to the elastic material on the rear leg too charged. In the area of its free edge, the front leg 87 is bent backwards and thereby forms a barb 88.
  • the front leg 87 of the clip 84 is bent away from the rear leg 85 and the clip is thus pushed onto the folder, that the front leg 87 extends through the slot 89, while the rear leg 85 bears against the back of the rear folder cover 14. As a result, the device proposed by the invention reaches the position shown in FIG. 17.
  • the sheet of paper 90 can be released again by sliding the clip 84, which a user can attack, from the back 13 outward until the sheet of paper 90 is released.
  • the clip 84 cannot be pulled out of the folder completely because the barb 88 sticks behind the edge 83 of the slot 89.
  • Documents to be filed in the clip are inserted between the front sheet 11 and the rear cover 14 when the clip 84 is displaced outwards, and then the clip 84 is pushed in in the direction of the back 13. The barb 88 then slides over the front sheet 11 into the position shown in FIG. 17.
  • the clamp 84 is made of plastic instead of spring steel, the barb 88 is made considerably easier. Pulling out of the clip is already prevented if a small undercut is arranged behind an edge or the like on the inside of the front leg 87.
  • the folder proposed by the invention can be produced much more simply and therefore more cost-effectively than the known folders. Regardless of the number of weld seams, only one welding process and one single edging is required to form the back 13.
  • PVC is particularly suitable as a material for the folder, both hard PVC and soft PVC.
