Definitions
- the invention relates to a needle ribbon loom according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Needle ribbon looms of the type mentioned are known several times, for example from US Pat. Nos. 3,064,689 and 3,901,285.
- the gear mechanism used here consists of a bevel gear mechanism, a bevel gear segment being arranged on a shaft which is connected to the lever mechanism.
- a second, smaller bevel gear is attached to the shaft, which is connected to the weft needle.
- the gearbox has the decisive disadvantage that only a few teeth are meshed, so that it is subject to great wear. This results in the disadvantages of short gear life, inaccurate movement sequences, and high levels of noise.
- such a bevel gear requires continuous lubrication with lubricants, so that it must be housed in a corresponding housing.
- a weft needle drive for a needle ribbon loom is known in which a transmission member is flexible at least at one end transverse to the direction of force transmission. With this end, the transmission member is attached to an oscillating member eccentrically to the axis of rotation.
- this weft needle drive enables an adjustment or change in the angle of the pivoting movement even beyond 90 °.
- the transmission element can only transmit small pressure forces and therefore the weft needle drive is unsuitable for large-scale use.
- the object of the invention is to design a needle ribbon weaving machine of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that large swiveling angles are possible with high power transmission.
- the object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.
- the gear train is designed as a chain, belt or, in particular, toothed belt gear
- the force application is distributed over a larger number of teeth, as a result of which the wear of such a gear is considerably reduced.
- Coupling the lever mechanism by means of a coupling rod to an eccentric pin of the mechanism also ensures a large power transmission. This results in a long service life, great accuracy and low noise.
- lubrication problems are also eliminated since such transmissions can run dry, which results in a further substantial simplification of the needle ribbon weaving machine. With such a needle ribbon weaving machine, significantly higher drive powers (for example over 1500 rpm) can be achieved.
- a large swivel angle (for example 120 °) of the weft needle is made possible, whereby the stroke of a knitting needle for tying off the inserted weft thread loop can be chosen to be smaller, which is a nicer one Edge formation.
- the larger swivel angle of the weft needle brings the weft thread almost to the fabric stop edge as soon as it is inserted. As a result, the weft is less stressed by the reed, so that the fabric can be produced in higher quality.
- a further development of the needle ribbon loom according to claim 2 is particularly advantageous, which results in a particularly simple tensioning device for the toothed belt, belt or chain of the transmission.
- an embodiment according to claim 3 is advantageous, with a pivoting movement of the weft needle of 80 ° to 180 °, preferably 120 °.
- weft needles A wide variety of weft needles can be used, but one according to claim 4 is advantageous.
- the needle ribbon weaving machine can have a lever gear of the most varied types, in particular also those according to CH-PS 633 331 and WO 85/01524.
- the needle ribbon loom shown schematically in FIGS. 1 and 2 contains a main drive shaft 2, to which a weft needle drive 4, a reed drive 6, a knitting needle drive 8 and a shedding drive 10 are connected. Warp threads 12, the warp pocket 14 and a woven band 16 are also indicated.
- a disk 18 is arranged on the main drive shaft 2 and contains a crank pin 22 which is guided in a radially adjustable manner in a dovetail-shaped groove 20, so that the eccentricity of the crank pin can be adjusted.
- a connecting rod 24 is connected to the crank pin 22 and is fastened via a hinge pin 26 to a rocker arm 28 which is connected to a shaft 30 in a rotationally fixed manner.
- a longitudinal guide 32 arranged in the rocker arm 28 is used to adjust the effective lever length of the rocker arm 28.
- An arm 34 is also arranged on the shaft 30 in a rotationally fixed manner and carries a reed 36 at its free end.
- a rocker 38 is also non-rotatably fastened, to which a coupling rod 40 is articulated, which in turn is articulated to a rocker 42, which is provided on the weft needle drive 4.
- This rocker 42 is non-rotatably connected to a shaft 44 which carries a further rocker 46, to which a further coupling rod 48 is connected, which establishes the connection to a gear train 50, via which a vertical shaft 52 is connected.
- the latter carries the weft needle 54 which engages in the warp pocket 14 at the upper end.
- the gear transmission 50 is designed as a chain transmission or preferably as a toothed belt transmission. It has a large gear wheel 56 which is mounted on an eccentric 58, which in turn is arranged pivotably about its eccentric axis 60. The eccentric 58 can be locked in its respective position by means of a locking screw 62.

- the large gear 56 has an eccentric pin 68 to which the coupling rod 48 of the lever gear is connected.
- the limited pivoting movement of the lever mechanism is translated in such a way that the weft needle can execute a large pivoting path of preferably approximately 120 °.
- the weft needle has, for example, a fork-shaped head 70 for grasping and inserting a weft loop 72 into the warp pocket 14.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 also show the knitting needle drive 8, which has a cam 74 arranged on the main drive shaft 2, on which a driver 76 of a two-armed rocker arm 78 engages.
- a spring 80 presses the driver 76 against the cam disk 74.
- a knitting needle 82 is attached to the end of the rocking lever 78 facing away from the driver 76, which acts in a known manner on one side of the band to be produced and for tying the warp needle 54 into the warp shed 14 registered weft loops 72 is used.
- the compartment drive 10 which is also connected to the main drive shaft 2, contains a single-stage gear 84 which is formed from a worm 86 which is connected to the main drive shaft 2 and a worm wheel 88 which is seated on a secondary drive shaft 90 to which various eccentrics 92 are fastened which drive shafts in a known, not shown manner.
- connection of the weft needles to a lever mechanism shown in the present example can also be used advantageously in other embodiments of the lever mechanism, for example in those of CH-PS 633 331 and WO 85/01524.
- needle ribbon looms have more than one weaving point, each weaving point possibly having two weft needles working against each other, each of which traverses part of the width of the fabric web.

Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Nadelbandwebmaschine gemäss Obergebriff des Anspruches 1.The invention relates to a needle ribbon loom according to the preamble of claim 1.
Needle ribbon looms of the type mentioned are known several times, for example from US Pat. Nos. 3,064,689 and 3,901,285. The gear mechanism used here consists of a bevel gear mechanism, a bevel gear segment being arranged on a shaft which is connected to the lever mechanism. A second, smaller bevel gear is attached to the shaft, which is connected to the weft needle. With such a gear, any large swivel angle of the weft needle can be generated. However, the gearbox has the decisive disadvantage that only a few teeth are meshed, so that it is subject to great wear. This results in the disadvantages of short gear life, inaccurate movement sequences, and high levels of noise. In addition, such a bevel gear requires continuous lubrication with lubricants, so that it must be housed in a corresponding housing.
From CH-PS 633 331 or from WO 85/01524 other needle ribbon looms are known which partly remedy the disadvantages described above in that there is no wheel gear and the lever gear is guided up to the shaft on which the weft needle is arranged. Such needle belt machines have low wear, thus have a long service life and are characterized by low noise and accuracy. However, the pivotal movement of the Weft needle set limits, so that it can execute a swivel angle of at most 90 °.
From CH-A-633 330 a weft needle drive for a needle ribbon loom is known in which a transmission member is flexible at least at one end transverse to the direction of force transmission. With this end, the transmission member is attached to an oscillating member eccentrically to the axis of rotation. Through a suitable choice of the size of the eccentricity, this weft needle drive enables an adjustment or change in the angle of the pivoting movement even beyond 90 °. However, it is disadvantageous that the transmission element can only transmit small pressure forces and therefore the weft needle drive is unsuitable for large-scale use.
The object of the invention is to design a needle ribbon weaving machine of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that large swiveling angles are possible with high power transmission.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1. Because the gear train is designed as a chain, belt or, in particular, toothed belt gear, the force application is distributed over a larger number of teeth, as a result of which the wear of such a gear is considerably reduced. Coupling the lever mechanism by means of a coupling rod to an eccentric pin of the mechanism also ensures a large power transmission. This results in a long service life, great accuracy and low noise. In particular, if a belt transmission is used, lubrication problems are also eliminated since such transmissions can run dry, which results in a further substantial simplification of the needle ribbon weaving machine. With such a needle ribbon weaving machine, significantly higher drive powers (for example over 1500 rpm) can be achieved. Nevertheless, with the present needle ribbon weaving machine a large swivel angle (for example 120 °) of the weft needle is made possible, whereby the stroke of a knitting needle for tying off the inserted weft thread loop can be chosen to be smaller, which is a nicer one Edge formation. The larger swivel angle of the weft needle brings the weft thread almost to the fabric stop edge as soon as it is inserted. As a result, the weft is less stressed by the reed, so that the fabric can be produced in higher quality.
Advantageous embodiments of the needle ribbon loom are described in
A further development of the needle ribbon loom according to
Vorteilhaft ist jedoch eine Ausgestaltung nach Anspruch 3, mit einer Schwenkbewegung der Schussnadel von 80° bis 180°, vorzugsweise 120°.Depending on the transmission ratio and setting of the gear mechanism and the lever mechanism, the most varied swiveling movements of the weft needle can be adjusted. However, an embodiment according to claim 3 is advantageous, with a pivoting movement of the weft needle of 80 ° to 180 °, preferably 120 °.
A wide variety of weft needles can be used, but one according to
