Definitions
- the invention relates to a compressed air atomizing nozzle for liquids, with a chamber for mixing compressed air and e.g. Oil, a central dosing hole, a baffle pin in the chamber at a distance from and coaxial to the central dosing hole with compressed air supply holes opening into the chamber on one side and at least one outlet opening for removing the oil-air mixture on the other side of the chamber.
- compressed air e.g. Oil
- a baffle pin in the chamber at a distance from and coaxial to the central dosing hole with compressed air supply holes opening into the chamber on one side and at least one outlet opening for removing the oil-air mixture on the other side of the chamber.
- nozzles with “internal mixing” are used in oil burners for burning oil in ovens, in boilers and other heating devices, whereby a certain regulation of the output is required or very low outputs are operated.
- These nozzles are manufactured in different versions, but for small capacities until now as a unit that only emits a spray.
- This spray jet consists of fine oil particles that are atomized by the compressed air. The distribution and uniformity of the droplets is strongly dependent on the mixing process in the nozzle, or on the way in which the oil is introduced into the air stream, on the air pressure, on the viscosity of the oil and on the control range of the nozzle.
- the spray jet has a scattering angle which is influenced by the degree of exposure to the atomizing air, which also determines the length of the spray jet. If there are several spray jets, the length will be correspondingly shorter for the same output, and the scattering angle can be varied according to the character of the burner head and the burner. In addition, the degree of exposure to the atomizing air then has hardly any influence on the scattering angle of the individual spray jet.
- the power control of the air pressure nozzle for small throughputs takes place via the oil pressure, while the air pressure, adjustable from 0.5 to 1 bar, remains almost constant.
- Such a compressed air atomizing nozzle is known from US Pat. No. 3,929,290.
- This nozzle has a frustoconical cavity (chamber) which can be adjusted with a bolt, wherein compressed air supply holes running parallel to the axis of the bolt open out in the frustoconical cavity.
- This known nozzle has the disadvantage that it does not guarantee a good mixture of oil and air, especially at low outputs.
- the present invention aims to overcome this disadvantage by means of a simple construction.
- the invention is therefore characterized in that the chamber and the impact pin have a cylindrical shape and the compressed air supply bores open into the chamber at an angle to the axis of the chamber.
- the baffle pin or the baffle plate preferably have tangential slots in the direction of the air supply bores, which improves the efficiency.
- the head is indicated by 1.
- the oil connection 2 has a narrowing part 3 up to the central metering bore 4.
- a baffle pin (or washer) 6 centrally opposite the metering bore 4. Oil supplied bounces against the baffle pin 6 and becomes a thin film radially to all sides scattered. At this point, compressed air is supplied tangentially through slots 7, with which the thin oil layer mixes homogeneously. This homogeneous oil-air mixture is sprayed through one or more outlet bores 8. As already mentioned, this spraying can be set as desired.
- Fig. 3 shows the entire nozzle set 14 with linkage.
- a shut-off needle 9 which cooperates at the free end with the narrowing oil supply part 3, which forms a seat for the shut-off needle 9.
- a coil spring 10 keeps the opening 3 closed. By confirming the electromagnet 11, the opening 3 and thus the oil supply can be opened abruptly.
- the compressed air supply has a connection 12 and the oil supply has an on conclusion 13.
- An air filter 15 is located in the channel between the connection 12 and the channels 3 and 2.

Description
Darin zeigt:
- Fig. 1 eine einfache Darstellung des Düsenkopfes im Längsschnitt;
- Fig. 2 den Düsenkopf im Querschnitt;
- Fig. 3 einen Längsschnitt durch den Düsensatz.
- Fig. 3 zeigt den gesamten Düsensatz 14 mit Gestänge.
