Definitions

  • the invention relates to a chair, in particular an office chair, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a chair is known, the backrest of which performs an adjustment depending on the seat plate inclination via a handlebar gear.
  • the front edge of the seat plate is raised when the seat plate is tilted by means of the transmission's handlebars. This has the consequence that the original footrest location is forcibly changed due to a so-called pulling up of the legs.
  • the backrest which can be pivoted relative to the seat plate, causes a constant change in the essential body support points on the chair, which also has an adverse effect on the correct fit of the clothing.
  • DE-OS 34 15 555 which comprises a seat made of two articulated parts.
  • the front part is firmly connected to the seat support and the articulated rear part of the seat plate is articulated to a two-part backrest, the lower back part of which is pivotally held in the region of the pelvis on the rear plate part.
  • This chair design makes a relative movement between the rear seat part and the subsequent lower seat back part possible when adjusting the inclination of the seat via a link mechanism, which also results in a comfort-deteriorating manner a rubbing effect between the seat back and the back of the user.
  • a chair is known from EP-A-013 63 74, which comprises a height-adjustable seat support with a seat plate which can be tilted via a steering gear and to which a backrest is articulated.
  • the height and the inclination of the seat plate can be adjusted via several interconnected coupling links, whereby the
  • the object of the invention is to provide a chair which, in its basic position and in its inclined positions, ensures comfortable sitting without changing the relevant support points of the user to the chair and the leg support points on the chair support surface. This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Further advantageous developments of the invention include the subclaims.
  • the main advantages achieved with the invention are that the design of the kinematics lowers the front edge of the seat when the chair is tilted and the seat plate pivots about an upstream ideal axis of rotation. This is advantageously in the area of the knees of the user, which results in an unchanged support location for the feet and the legs are relieved at the same time. An uncomfortable pressure in the hollow of the knees by touching the front edge of the seat according to the prior art is hereby avoided according to the invention.
  • the base frame 1 to 5 consists of a base frame 1, a seat 2, which is attached to the base frame 1 via a seat support 3 with the interposition of a link mechanism 4.
  • the seat surface 2 comprises two interconnected plate parts 5 and 6, the rear plate part 6 being an integral part of a backrest 7.
  • the base frame 1 has a spring element for height adjustment and ends in a base.
  • the chair can be adjusted to a basic position G, in which the seat 2 occupies a position in a horizontal plane X-X. From this basic position G, the chair can be pivoted into an inclination position N, in which the front plate part 5 lies in an oblique Y-Y and the rear plate part 6 lies in an oblique Z-Z. From the basic position G to the inclination position N, all intermediate positions are possible, with locking in each position using a corresponding device.
  • the link mechanism 4 essentially comprises two scissor-like coupling elements 8, 9 arranged between the plate parts 5 and 6 and the seat support 3, which are only shown as struts in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 5 for a better overview.
  • These coupling elements 8 and 9 can be rotated relative to one another about an axis 17 and pivoted on the one hand on the seat support 3 about horizontal axes 10 and 11 and on the other hand articulated on the plate parts 5 and 6 about horizontal axes 12 and 13a, as FIG. 2 shows in more detail.
  • the rear plate part 6 is made in one piece with the backrest 7 and has sections 14 on both sides via a joint 13 with the horizontal axis 13a, which run obliquely forward to the seat support 3 and form the link arms 15a. These can be pushed on a horizontal fixed axis 16 (FIGS. 1 to 3) and at the same time can be pivoted relatively to the front plate part 5 via the rear linkage (joint 13) of the front plate part 5 on the axis 13a, as shown in FIG. 3.
  • the coupling members 8 and 9 and the link arms 15 have such lengths and are articulated in the manner on the seat support 3 and articulated with the plate parts 5 and 6 that a knee axis of rotation 19 is formed in the inclined positions of the seat surface 2. This lies in the same horizontal plane X-X with the seat 2 in its basic position G.
  • the knee rotation axis 19 is located approximately unchanged in the horizontal plane X-X. Achieving such an unchanged position of this axis of rotation 19 is achieved by the link mechanism 4, which lowers the front plate part 5 below the horizontal plane X-X into the inclined plane Y-Y. In the intersection of these two planes X-X and Y-Y, the axis of rotation 19 is arranged, which, as shown in FIG. 4, lies approximately in the area of the user's knees.
  • the rear plate part 6 is simultaneously forced into an inclined position in the oblique Z-Z.
  • the angle of inclination ⁇ of the front plate part 5 is approximately 12 ° and the angle of inclination ⁇ of the rear plate part 6 is approximately 24 °, which corresponds to a ratio of 1: 2.
  • the rear plate part 6 with the backrest 7 consists of an m part and can be inclined together about the axis 13a lying in front of the pelvis to the front plate part 5.
  • people have two relevant support points 20 and 21 in the pelvic area, which are arranged accordingly in the seat and the backrest. These support points 20 and 21 do not change their position in relation to the chair when the chair is moved into position N, so that no relative movement can take place between the backrest 7 of the seat surface 2 and the user.
  • FIGS. 6 and 7 a structural design of the chair with handlebar gear 4 is shown in more detail, with FIGS. 6 and 7 showing a construction corresponding to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3.
  • the seat support 3 has arms which are guided forward and have 23 bearing eyes 24, 25 with the horizontal axes 10 and 11 at their free ends.
  • the coupling members 9 are arranged on both sides of the seat support 3, which are held by a flat connecting element 26 arranged above the seat support 3 and which is firmly connected to pins 27, which form the axes 17.
  • Longitudinal slots 28, 29, 30 and 31 in the joints of the coupling members 8 and 9, in the front plate part 5 and in the link arm 15 allow a jamming-free movement of the individual parts when the seat is tilted, as well as a positively guided movement according to the angular adjustment of the two plate parts 5 and 6
  • the parts of the link mechanism such as the coupling links, the seat support and the two plate parts can consist of cast parts or be designed as sheet metal parts.
  • the longitudinal slot 29 has no function in itself for the sequence of movements, but must allow the guide pin 10 penetrating the handlebars 9 to have clearance.
  • FIGS. 6a and 7a A further embodiment is shown in FIGS. 6a and 7a.
  • the control arm 15 is designed as a vertically extending control arm 15a according to the explanations according to FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 5. This is connected to an adjoining vertical support beam 32 via an articulated joint 33 with a horizontal axis of rotation 34.
  • the free end 35 of the support beam 32 is pivotable about a horizontal axis 37 in a bracket 36 which is firmly connected to the base frame 1.
  • the coupling elements 8, 9, the plate parts 5, 6 and the backrest 7 correspond to the embodiment according to FIGS. 6 and 7.
  • FIG. 10 The mode of operation of the embodiment according to FIGS. 6a and 7a is shown schematically in FIG. 10 and takes place in such a way that when the rear plate part 6 is pressed, the control arm 15a in the direction of the arrow 38 about the axis 13a of the joint 13, taking the Support struts 32 pivoted about the articulation 33.
  • the link mechanism 4 has an operation as shown in more detail in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3.
  • the reason for the special design of the handlebars 15a and 32 (Fig. 9 and Fig. 10) is that: When the chair is "owned” in the front area (plate 5, up to the joint 13a) there is no deflection. The chair is almost locked. Only when the rear part of the plate 6 or the backrest 7 is loaded is the seat inclination, as described, initiated.
