Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for achieving a flat magnetization loop in cores for inductive components which are wound from amorphous ribbons and which are subjected to heat treatment so far below the crystallization temperature that crystalline precipitates predominantly occur on the ribbon surface.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a method with which the properties of the cores can be adjusted so that, with the same remanence as known cores, a particularly low coercive field strength results, so that very small permeability values can be achieved with a still acceptable coercive field strength.
- This object is achieved in that a long-term heat treatment of more than 10 hours is carried out and that the temperature in the long-term heat treatment is chosen so low that less than half of the strip cross section has crystalline precipitates.
- the invention is based on the knowledge that the crystalline precipitates formed by a heat treatment on the surface of iron-rich amorphous ribbons slowly grow into the interior of the ribbon at a limited temperature, so that an increasing thickness of the crystalline surface layer can be achieved by extending the heat treatment over time without Seeds for crystals form inside the band.
- FIG. 1 shows the magnetization characteristic with low remanence magnetization and a micrograph through a piece of tape after the tape has been stored at 420 ° C. for 16 hours.
- the layer with the crystalline precipitates can be seen in black in the micrograph.
- At the boundary layers between the amorphous core and the surface layers interspersed with crystalline precipitates one can see that the crystals grow from the edges to the middle. There is virtually no nucleation in the middle of the band. If you prolong the heat treatment, you get thicker crystal layers on the surface.
- FIG. 2 shows the magnetization characteristic and a micrograph of the same alloy as in FIG. 1.
- the heat treatment was carried out at 420 ° C. for 64 hours. 1
- a relative permeability ⁇ r 246 with a coercive field strength of 3, 49 A / cm.
- Particularly long permeability can be achieved by particularly long heat treatment times without the coercive field strength increasing too much.

Abstract
