Abstract

The traction bogie comprises two wheel sets each coupled with a traction motor. The bogie frame is mounted resiliently on the wheel sets with provision for movement at least lengthwise of the bogie. Each of the casings of the traction motors is carried on the associated wheel set and is connected to the bogie frame to be movable in three dimensions. Also, each casing is connected to the bogie frame by way of two links which are adapted to transmit traction and braking forces and which are articulated to the bogie frame and to the casing to be pivotable around substantially vertical axes. The links are so disposed that their longitudinal axes converge and the imaginary extensions of the longitudinal axes intersect one another at an intersection point disposed in the vicinity of the wheel set and casing. The intersection point determines the position of an imaginary vertical rotational axis around which the wheel set and the associated traction motor can pivot relatively to the bogie frame.

Description

The invention relates to a motor bogie for a rail vehicle, with a bogie frame and at least two wheel sets each coupled to a drive device, on which the bogie frame is supported in a spring-loaded manner via axle bearings movably guided at least in the longitudinal direction of the bogie, the drive devices each being provided with a housing which supported on the wheel set in question and is pivotally connected to the bogie frame about a substantially vertical axis by means of a linkage device suitable for the transmission of tensile and braking forces.

In a motor bogie of the type mentioned, known from CH-A 609 290, the drive devices of two wheel sets are each pivotably articulated by a rigid tiller-like connecting part pointing in the longitudinal direction on the bogie frame about an axis which is fixed in the longitudinal and transverse directions, and each via one in the The second connecting part, which is directed in the opposite longitudinal direction and is intended for the longitudinal force-free transmission of transverse forces, is connected to a wishbone which is coupled via an angle lever articulated on the bogie frame to a longitudinal arm articulated on the vehicle body and arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle (FIG. 11). When traversing curves, the housings of the two drive devices are each pivoted about their articulation points arranged on the bogie frame via the adjusting device formed by trailing arms, angle levers and wishbones so that an approximately radial adjustment of the wheelset axles is achieved.

In a drive bogie of a similar type known from US-A 2 245 333, the housings of two drive devices, with their ends facing away from one another in the longitudinal direction, are each articulated to a rigid triangular link which transmits the tensile and braking forces and which is articulated in the longitudinal and transverse directions on the bogie frame The mutually facing ends of the housings are each connected via a wishbone to a common angle lever articulated on the bogie frame, which is coupled to the vehicle body via a single trailing arm.

The adjustment devices of the known bogies required for the radial adjustment of the wheel sets are structurally relatively complex and take up a relatively large part of the installation space available between the bogies and the vehicle body.

The invention has for its object to provide a particularly improved in this regard, further developed bogie of the type mentioned in a simplified, compact design, in which the wheel sets each automatically automatically when driving through curves essentially radially to the curve to be traversed.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the articulation devices transmitting the tensile and braking forces each contain at least two arms arranged converging from the bogie frame in the longitudinal direction of the bogie to the wheel set in question, each on the one hand on a supporting part of the bogie frame and on the other hand each on the relevant one Housing of the drive device are articulated, the elongated longitudinal axes of each pair of handlebars assigned to the same housing, seen in plan view, intersect at an intersection which lies within the outline of the structural unit formed by the housing and the associated wheel set.

The handlebar pairs arranged according to the invention each form a longitudinally essentially rigid connection between the bogie frame and each of the wheel sets, the tensile and braking forces of each wheel set being transmitted directly to the bogie frame at the point of intersection of the longitudinal axes of the handlebars which is freely selectable with regard to its position. Due to the converging handlebars, the drive devices are each movable in the transverse direction on the bogie frame and are pivotable about an essentially vertical ideal axis of rotation (vertical axis) determined by the point of intersection of the handlebar axes. As a result of the transverse forces occurring when driving through a curve, the assembly formed in each case by the wheel set in question and the associated drive devices is moved in the transverse direction and at the same time pivoted about the ideal vertical axis in the sense of a radial adjustment of the wheel set axis. The tractive force differences occurring when cornering between the left and the right wheel of the wheel set in question - within the limits given by the flexible guidance of the wheel set axle or in particular the lateral axle bearing - can be used to rotate this wheel set about its vertical axis, regardless of the total tractive force of the wheel set will.

The handlebar pairs arranged according to the invention thus ensure reliable transmission of the tensile and braking forces and, at the same time, an automatic, at least approximately radial adjustment of the wheel sets when cornering. In this case, a significantly simplified guidance of the wheel sets is achieved without additional control or regulating effort and without additional adjustment mechanisms.

Advantageous developments of the subject matter of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

According to one embodiment of the invention, which is characterized by particularly good driving properties, in particular smooth cornering of the drive bogie, the axle bearings can each be movably coupled to the bogie frame via a guide part at a pivot point offset in the longitudinal direction of the bogie relative to the axis of the associated wheel set, and the intersection of the longitudinal axes of the converging handlebars can include a portion of the floor plan of the housing and the wheelset the unit are located, which is limited by the axis of the wheelset and an imaginary transverse plane extending through the articulation points of the guide parts. Accordingly, the intersection can be arranged directly on the axle of the wheelset or in the area of the transverse plane, or at any distance between these two limits. In the case of such designs, in particular those with axles axially fixed in the housing of the drive device, the axles - under the action of transverse forces, such as occur when driving through bends - can be pivoted about the corresponding ideal vertical axis in the manner of a bissel axis. In versions with an intersection of the longitudinal axes of the handlebar pair arranged in the region of the wheelset axis, particularly small axial adjustment paths between the housing and the wheelset axis result, in particular in connection with axles movably mounted in the housing in the axial direction. In versions in which the intersection of the longitudinal axes of the handlebar pairs lies in the transverse plane extending through the articulation points of the guide parts and thus through the transverse support between the wheel set in question and the bogie frame, in particular in connection with gearwheels interacting via helical gears and with relative to the bogie frame in the vehicle longitudinal direction Guided side axle bearings of the wheel sets, unwanted yawing movements of the wheel set relative to the bogie frame are avoided.

In the case of a motor bogie in an embodiment of the invention which is suitable for driving through particularly tight curves, the housings of the drive devices can be connected by a cross-coupling device which, when the one housing is adjusted about a vertical axis passing through the intersection of the longitudinal axes of the handlebar pair, correspondingly adjusts the other housing around the associated vertical axis in the opposite direction. The coupled in this way, each arranged at a relatively small distance from each other axles can set relatively easily due to the small angle differences in an approximately radial position to the curve.

The drive bogie shown in FIGS. And 2 contains two wheel sets I and 2, each of which is connected to a drive motor 3, and a bogie frame 4, which is divided by a cross member 5. The bogie frame 4 is supported by springs 6 on four axle bearings 7, in which the ends of the two axles 8 of the wheel sets I and 2 are mounted. On the bogie frame 4, part of a vehicle body II, which is only partially shown, is supported via lateral springs 10, which part is provided via a device (not shown) for transmitting tensile and braking forces. a pivot arranged in the center of the bogie M on the cross member 5 or a deep-drawing device with which the bogie frame 4 is connected.

The axle bearings 7 are each pivotably articulated on the bogie frame 4 by a pivot arm 12 pointing against the transverse center plane Q of the bogie about a pin 13 arranged transversely. The pins 13 are each of an intermediate piece 14 made of a rubber-elastic material, e.g. one based on silicone rubber, by means of which the relevant swivel arm 12 is movably mounted on the pin 13 and resiliently mounted on the pin 13 in the longitudinal and transverse direction of the bogie. Accordingly, no tensile and braking forces are transmitted to the bogie frame 4 via the axle bearings 7, but rather only relatively small transverse forces resulting from the elastic transverse support on the pin 13.

The drive motors 3 are each provided with a housing 16 which is supported on the axle 8 of the relevant wheel set I or 2 via two bearings 17 formed thereon. A gearwheel 18 is arranged on each axis 8 and engages with a pinion 20 of the drive motor 3 in question. 2, the gears 18 and 20 can interact via a helical toothing, and the axes 8 can be arranged axially displaceably in the bearings 17 and in the gear 18. The housings 16 of the drive motors 3 are also each articulated on a suspension pendulum 21 arranged in the longitudinal center plane L of the bogie so as to be spatially pivotable about a transverse axis. The suspension pendulums 21 are also articulated in a manner pivotable in each case on two brackets 22 arranged on the cross member 5.

For the transmission of tensile and braking forces between the cross member 5 and each of the housing 16 two from the cross member 5 against the respective housing converging arranged arms 23 and 24 are provided, each on the cross member 5 and the housing 16 by a vertical Zap fen are pivotally hinged. 2, the links 23 and 24 are arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal center plane L, the elongated longitudinal axes of each pair of links 23, 24 intersecting at an ideal intersection S, which lies essentially on the center line of the axle set 8 concerned. At the articulation points of the pendulum 21 and possibly the links 23 and 24 on the drive motors 3 and the cross member 5, the articulated parts can have spherical bearing surfaces and / or can cooperate with one another via flexible bearing parts, for example in accordance with the intermediate pieces 14.

The articulation points (pins 13) of the swivel arms 12 guiding the axle bearings 7 and the links 23, 24 are arranged essentially at the height of the axle centers of the wheel sets I and 2. An ideal vertical axis of rotation (vertical axis) is determined by the intersection points S, about which the structural unit consisting of the respective wheel set I or 2 and the relevant drive motor 3 can be pivoted relative to the bogie frame 4 when passing through a curve. The axle bearings 7 can be arranged axially fixed on the axles 8 and can be kept movable in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the bogie and in the vertical direction by the springs 6 and by the flexible articulation on the pins 13. In other embodiments, corresponding, axially movable axle bearings 7 can be held fixed on the bogie frame 4 in the transverse direction and axially displaceably arranged on the axles 8. In the arrangement shown in FIG. 2 with ideal vertical axes running through the wheelset axles 8, there are particularly small axial relative movements between the interacting parts, so that minimal play B and C between the drive motor 3 and the gears 18, 20 or the one wheel of the relevant wheel set I, 2 and a correspondingly small game D between the gears 18, 20 and the other wheel of the wheel set I or 2 are required.

I and 2 can each be arranged axially fixed in the bearings 17 of the housing 16. The wheelsets and 2 can be pivoted about the vertical axis passing through the intersection point S under the action of transverse forces, such as those which occur in curves, depending on the type of a "bissel axis". Within the design limits given by the design of the springs 6 and the articulation points (pins 13) of the pivot arms 12 guiding the axle bearings 7, the intersection points S of the elongated longitudinal axes of the links 23 and 24 can each be at an arbitrarily selectable distance A from the center line of the relevant one Axle 8 can be arranged.

I um dessen Hochachse hervorruft. Dadurch kann in an sich bekannter Weise eine annähernd radiale Einstellung der beiden Achsen 8 der Radsätze I und 2 bezüglich der zu durchfahrenden Kurve erzielt werden.4 and 5, the housings 16 of the drive motors 3 are each coupled to the cross member 5 via two converging links 23 'and 24 ' , each in the form of a bracket 19 which can be loaded by essentially vertically acting weight and support forces are trained. The brackets 19 each have a hinge-like end section on the cross member 5, while the other end section is connected to the housing 16 so that it can move. The hinge-like articulation on the housing 16 and the movable articulation on the bogie frame 4 can also be provided. The articulation points of the brackets 19 can also contain flexibly arranged bearing parts. 5, the distances A of the intersection points S from the center lines of the axes 8 may correspond approximately to the distances between the relevant axis 8 and the pin 13. The ideal vertical axes determined by the intersection points S are therefore each in a transverse plane E which runs parallel to the relevant axis 8 through the articulation points (pins 13) of the swivel arms 12 which form the transverse support of the axle bearings 7. In this embodiment, in particular in connection with helical gears 28 and with axle bearings 7 guided movably in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to the bogie frame 4, yaw movement of the wheel sets I and 2 around the ideal vertical axes through the intersection points S caused by tooth forces of the helical teeth is avoided. The two wheel sets I and 2 can also be coupled so that they can move in the transverse direction by means of a cross coupling 25. The transverse coupling 25 contains two arms 26 attached to the mutually facing sides of the housings 16 of the drive motors 3, each pointing towards the transverse center plane Q of the bogie, and a wishbone 27 which is articulated on one of the arms 26 at both ends. Through the cross clutch 25, the two wheel sets and 2 are coupled such that when driving through a curve, a rotary movement of the one wheel set I or 2 about its vertical axis determined by the intersection S causes a corresponding, counter-rotating movement of the other wheel set 2 or I about its vertical axis . As a result, an approximately radial adjustment of the two axes 8 of the wheel sets I and 2 can be achieved in a manner known per se with respect to the curve to be traveled.

The control arm 27 can be formed in one piece or, as shown in FIG. 5, contain two parts 27a and 27b in a manner known per se, which are flexibly connected to one another in the transverse direction by a spring element 28. In conjunction with a rigid, one-piece wishbone, one of the arms 26 or the connection between one of the arms 26 and the respective wishbone can also be designed to be correspondingly elastic, which enables corresponding compensatory movements of the wheel sets I and 2 coupled by the transverse clutch when driving through curves . Also at the articulation points of the wishbone 27, similar to the hand pendulums 21, the links 23, 24, 23 ', 24' and the swivel arms 12, means can be provided which ensure a spatially movable connection of the interacting parts.

As can be seen from FIGS. 6 and 7, the links 23 and 24 can also be articulated on the end supports 4a of the bogie frame 4 and on the housing parts 16a of the drive motors 3 facing these supports 4a. Corresponding In the embodiment shown, the housing parts 16a can each connect the bearings 17 of the relevant housing 16.

2 über die axial verschiebbaren Lager 17 abgestützt und je über die in Längsrichtung konvergierenden Lenker 23 und 24 mit dem Drehgestellrahmen 4 in Drehgestell-Längsrichtung kraftschlüssig gekoppelt ist.8, instead of drive motors supported directly on the wheelset axles, other drive devices, e.g. Two gears 31 and 32 can be provided, which can be coupled to a drive motor, not shown, arranged on the vehicle body. The gears 31 and 32 are each arranged in a housing 33 and 34, which is suspended from the brackets 22 of the cross member 5 via a suspension pendulum, which is not visible in this illustration, on the axle 8 of the relevant wheel set I or 2 via the axially displaceable Bearing 17 supported and each non-positively coupled to the bogie frame 4 in the longitudinal direction of the bogie via the longitudinally converging links 23 and 24.

The two gears 31 and 32 each contain a gear 18 'fastened on the axis 8 and a pinion 20' meshing therewith, which is fastened with a bevel gear 35 on a common shaft 36 mounted in the housing 33 and 34, respectively. The teeth of the gear 18 'and the pinion 20 ' are designed so that they allow axial relative movements of these parts. The bevel gears 35 are each in engagement with a bevel gear 37 or 37a, which is arranged on a shaft 38 or 38a mounted in the housing 33 or 34. The transmission 31 also contains a reversing transmission with a gear 40 arranged on the shaft 38 and a gear 41 arranged on a shaft 42. The shaft 42 is coupled to the shaft 38a of the transmission 32 by a cardan shaft 43. The shaft 38 is - if necessary via a further cardan shaft, not shown - coupled to the shaft of the drive motor, not shown, from which both wheel sets I and 2 are driven.

Instead of hanging pendulums, other facilities, e.g. in the longitudinal and transverse direction flexible rubber / metal composite elements, for weight support and as a torque support of the drive device may be provided.
