Definitions
- the invention relates to an opener, in particular for opening bottles, cans, tubes and the like which are closed with screw caps of different sizes, consisting of a body with at least one cone-shaped depression which tapers into the body for the positive and / or form-fitting reception, in particular of screw cap .
- Screw caps are due to a mechanical screwing as well as due to the usual mostly very tightly closed, so that the first opening of the closures by hand is difficult, if not impossible, especially for women and the elderly. This is either due to the small diameter of the screw caps, as used for example in beverage bottles, so that only a very small torque can be applied, or to the smooth outer surface of the cap, so that in any case a relatively high force is required, to loosen the lid.
- screw cap openers in the form of pliers which usually have several, differently sized, curved, toothed gripping surfaces for screw cap.
- these household tongs have the disadvantage that the screw cap is damaged due to the clamping between the sharp-toothed gripping surfaces, so that a
- a screw top opener of the type described at the outset is known, which is designed as a conical cup, ie with both a conical outer surface and a conical inner surface.
- the inner surface is therefore conical in order to be able to receive and open screw caps of different diameters.
- a sharp-edged longitudinal toothing is formed on the inner surface to provide a screw cap upon rotation of the opener about its longitudinal axis' for driving the closure cap after placement of the opener.
- this opener is only for the few locks that fit into the interior of the opener konusformigen •.
- the outer surface is predetermined by the cone-shaped inner surface and is not "adapted" to the grasping hand in shape and size. A sufficiently large torque cannot therefore be applied.
- the invention has for its object to improve the generic opener in such a way that any damage to the screw cap is excluded in spite of a perfect rotary driving, and it is also suitable for easy opening as many different, large screw caps.
- the body of the opener consists of a rubber-elastic material and is designed as a handle. Due to this advantageous embodiment, the screw cap is clamped in the recesses without sharp-edged longitudinal teeth, since the rubber-elastic material expands somewhat when the opener is placed firmly on the closure and the opener thus positively encloses the cover without damaging the cover.
- the positive connection can be further supported by the external pressure of the rotating hand encompassing the opener.
- a screw cap of the 'opener according to the invention is fitted with a mating recess, slightly suppressed and short rotated in the opening direction for opening.
- the lock can then be opened completely by hand without the opener.
- the clamping retention of the closure in the opener also enables the closure to be completely unscrewed by means of the opener, the closure cap remaining in the recess of the opener.
- the closure can subsequently be closed again by means of the opener.
- This application of the opener according to the invention is particularly useful in cases where - as is often the case with beverage bottles - the screw caps have a locking ring which is destroyed when opened, thereby forming sharp edges which could cause injuries. Due to the fact that the opener according to the invention surrounds the screw closure, such injuries are now excluded.
- the opener according to the invention can have several depressions of different sizes.
- the body of the opener is cylindrical and has a conical depression on each of its end faces.
- At least one recess in its lateral surface has an annular groove, preferably with a diameter adapted to the bottle neck diameter of conventional beverage bottle caps.
- the opener according to the invention is also suitable, for example, as an aid for opening champagne bottles, since the champagne cork can also be clamped in one of the provided recesses while the wire fuse of the champagne cork is released. The champagne cork can no longer shoot out of the bottle unintentionally.
- Fig. 1 is a side view of an opener according to the invention
- Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section along the line II-II according
- Fig. 1, Fig. 3 the opener according to the invention while opening a screw cap and Fig. 4 the opener according to the invention in its function as
- An opener 1 consists of a body 2 made of a rubber-elastic material. This is particularly suitable Soft PVC, but also other elastic plastics and natural rubber.
- the body 2 is cylindrical and has a conical depression 3, 4 on each of the two end faces.
- the depressions 3, 4 are separated from one another by a partition 5.
- a depression, in the example shown the larger depression 4, has in its outer surface 6 an annular groove 7, the diameter of which is preferably adapted to the bottle neck diameter of conventional beverage bottle caps.
- This ring groove 7 serves to receive a ring shoulder 12 provided on the bottle neck of bottle cap bottles 11, which was originally intended to hold the bottle cap.
- the annular groove 7 formed in a substantially circular-arc-shaped "in cross section. It extends dera_rt. both in the lateral surface 6 but-also on the floor 13 of the recess 4 that dör floor 4 a circular projection 14 with an upper inner diameter of the neck of the Krcnkorkenflasche 11 corresponding diameter forms.
- the recesses 3, 4 have on their lateral surfaces 6 axially extending ribs 15, which ensure additional adhesion of the opener 1 on a closure cap.
- the outer surface of the body 2 is configured to be non-slip, in the example shown the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 2 has peripherally extending ribs 16 which, however, can also run axially.
- the depressions 3, 4 are dimensioned such that the largest diameter of the smaller depression 3 is greater than or equal to the smallest
- the diameter of the larger recess 4 is. This will close the diameter ranges of the conical depressions 3, 4 with or without overlap.
- the size dimensions of the opener according to the invention depend on the closures provided for opening.
- the cylindrical body 2 has an outer diameter of 37 mm and a length of 50 mm.
- the smaller recess 3 is 20 mm deep and its smallest diameter is 6 mm and the largest diameter 24 mm.
- the larger recess 4 is 25 mm deep and has a diameter range from 20 to 32 mm.
- the cone angle C * of the recess 3 is approximately 50 ° and the angle ⁇ > of the recess 4 is approximately 28 °. Due to the dimensions, this embodiment is particularly suitable for opening bottle screw caps.
- a screw cap 17 of a bottle 18 the opener 1 according to the invention according to FIG. 3 is placed on the closure 17 with a suitable depression (here the depression 4).
- the opener 1 is rotated in the screwing-on direction (arrows 20) of the closure 17, as a result of which the latter is irritated due to its clamping, form-fitting fit in the recess 4.
- the closure 17 shown is a screw closure which is equipped with a securing ring which is destroyed by opening the closure 17, so that sharp-edged ring parts 21 are formed. These ring parts 21 could cause injuries when the closure 17 is actuated with the bare hand, but this is excluded by the use of the opener 1 according to the invention.
- FIG. 4 shows the opener 1 according to the invention in its function closing a crown cork bottle 11.
- the elasticity of the opener 1 according to the invention only needs to be pushed on in the direction of the arrow 22 to close the bottle 11.
- the annular groove 7 provided according to the invention latches around the ring neck 12 provided on the bottle neck and thus seals the bottle 11.
- the shoulder 14 formed on the bottom 13 of the recess 4 engages in the bottle 11 (shown in dashed lines), which further contributes to an improvement in the seal.
