- Locking devices for escape doors or the like are known in the art, in which, after the escape door has been acted upon by a compressive force, a bolt which is in the locked position is to be pressed back into the lock. Especially for the application for which such a device for releasing an escape door is to be designed, it is not guaranteed that the escape door is opened with sufficient reliability.
