Abstract

Method and plant for cleaning textile products, particularly carpets by means of a textile cleaning apparatus, the surface to be cleaned being treated with a cleaning liquid. Problems occur with known methods and plants which involve a cleaning by means of powder, a shampoo and a removal by spraying, and also particularly those which use an electrostatic charge. The problems occur mainly because the fabric is not cleaned sufficiently rapidly nor thoroughly in depth. The present invention solves those problems by effecting a cleaning at a high temperature, a heating surface (37) approximately parallel to the surface to be cleaned (19) rotating in efficient relationship on the cleaning surface. The temperature of the heating surface is regulated according to the type of textile, the cleaning product, the soiled state and the ambient conditions, preferably in a range of 110-170oC.

Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning textiles, in particular carpets by means of a textile cleaning device, with a rotor driven by a drive device with a nominal speed of 120 to 240 revolutions per minute, and with a cleaning surface consisting of a rotating cleaning mat, the surface to be cleaned is treated with a cleaning liquid.

From DE-U-8 304 300.7 a carpet cleaning device of the type mentioned is known, which wants to take advantage of the electrostatic charge of the dirt particles. Damage to the carpet to be cleaned is avoided by the rotor, which rotates relatively slowly between 120 and 240 revolutions per minute, but the cleaning success is limited. Cleaning at elevated temperatures is not intended after this.

Formänderungen auftreten.DE-A-2 615 501 describes a spray extraction device as a carpet cleaner. With this vacuum cleaner - compressed air spray and suction system, for wet cleaning of permanently installed materials, upholstered furniture and carpets using a three-nozzle system, cleaning liquid is fed from a container through a pipe via a flat jet nozzle using compressed air, which can be heated by an electric heater. pressed onto the material to be cleaned and immediately pulled off by forced suction of two suction nozzles, and the material is dried with forced air. Such a system is structurally very complex and very complicated to use. In addition, large amounts of cleaning agents are required and the drying time is still relatively long despite heating. In addition, tension or changes in shape can occur in the carpet.

The object of the present invention is to present a method and a device of a new type for cleaning textiles, in particular for cleaning carpets, the cleaning being to be carried out with relatively little expenditure of cleaning liquid and being cleaned to the depth of the fabric, and being itself there is no change in the surface of the pile in the case of sensitive velor. In addition, as far as possible, no residues of the washing-active substances should remain in the carpeting, as a result of which early re-contamination can be avoided. The new cleaning device should also be particularly easy to use, reliable and easy to maintain and guarantee quick cleaning.

According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the cleaning takes place at an elevated temperature, a heating surface approximately parallel to the cleaning surface rotating in operative connection over the surface to be cleaned and the temperature of the surface to be cleaned between 40 and 80 degrees Celsius is. Due to the higher temperature than the ambient or room temperature, the cleaning process is activated continuously and controllably. In this way, optimal cleaning success can be set in a targeted manner, with cleaning being particularly quick and thorough. Larger areas can be cleaned at the same time, while the drying time of the textiles is reduced.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the temperature of the heating surface is constantly controlled as a function of the type of textile, the cleaning agent, the degree of soiling and the ambient conditions. In this way, the optimal cleaning temperature can be easily set and maintained continuously.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the temperature of the heating surface when cleaning carpets is set in a range between 100 to 250 degrees Celsius, preferably between 110 and 170 degrees Celsius. Experiments have surprisingly found that in this temperature range, most common types of carpets, woven carpets with jute backs, even tensioned carpets, etc. can be cleaned according to the invention, with temperatures on the carpet surface to be cleaned being able to be between about 40 and 80 degrees Celsius.

In the device for carrying out the method according to the invention with a rotor driven by a drive device and a drive plate arranged on the underside of the rotor and a cleaning mat, the solution to the problem is that the drive plate has a heating device. This shows a general teaching, which is clear to a person skilled in the art, on technical action for realizing the method according to the invention.

The invention further provides that the heating device is designed as a metal disk with spirally arranged grooves for receiving heating wires or heating windings. This measure is a particularly simple and robust embodiment of a heater. The same applies to an annular arrangement of the grooves which receive a heating wire which is guided in the adjacent groove at the transverse connection of the grooves to one another.

It is particularly expedient if the heating device is connected to one or more regulators, which are preferably arranged on the rotor hood and / or on the handle of the cleaning device. For example, the regulator on the rotor hood for rough adjustment and the other regulator on the handle for fine adjustment of the temperature can be used to improve the ease of use. For cost reasons, however, only one regulator can be attached either to the rotor hood or to the handle. It is also conceivable to arrange the regulator with temperature display on the bonnet.

The invention is advantageously designed in such a way that the rotor between the heating device and the rotor block has an insulation layer which preferably consists of a highly heat-resistant protective layer, for example made of glass or mineral fiber. One made of low melting Plastic rotor block made of insulating material is thus protected against thermal stress and damage.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that a reflection disk is arranged between the rotor block and the heating device. On the one hand, this protects the rotor block particularly well, and on the other hand, this measure minimizes energy losses and thus increases efficiency.

In further refinements of the invention, it is provided that the drive and heating plate has a corrugation, preferably formed by v-shaped grooves milled perpendicular to one another. Sufficient adhesion between drive plate and cleaning mat in the operating state can thereby be achieved in a simple manner.

The preferred embodiment shown in FIG. 1 shows a rotor hood 10 on which the motor housing 11 is fastened with the motor 12 and from which a chassis 13 projects laterally, which has two foldable wheels 14, a handle 15 and a power cable 16 leading to the motor 12 and leads to the rotor 17, or to the heating device arranged in the rotor 17 but not shown in FIG. 1. A regulator 18 for the heating device is located in the rotor hood 10 and as a fine control with temperature display 21 on the handle 15 of the cleaning device. A cleaning mat 20 is arranged between the rotor 17 and the textile surface 19 to be cleaned, for example a carpet made of polyamide, velor and loop pile. The rotor 17 is connected to the motor shaft of the motor 12 via connecting elements, not shown in FIG. 1.

However, it can also be expedient to use a different material, for example a light metal alloy. The rotor block 30 has on its upper side an annular groove 31 in which an annular core 32 with a connecting element 33 to the motor 12 (FIG. 1) is fastened in a suitable manner. The connecting element 33 is preferably a quick fastener. Also on the top of the rotor block 30 are two circular busbars 34 and 35, with an electrical connection to the power cable 16 (FIG. 1) and to the regulator 18 and 21 (FIG. 1) via sliding contacts (not shown), for example brushes made of carbon. consists. A highly heat-resistant insulating layer 36, for example mineral fiber, and a metal disk as a heating device 37 are arranged on the underside of the rotor block 30, the metal disk having annular grooves for receiving heating wires 38. The heating wires 38 are conductively connected to the busbars 34, 35. Below the heating device 37 is the drive plate 39, which forms the actual heating surface in relation to the carpet surface to be cleaned and by means of connecting elements such as e.g. Screws 40, rigidly connected to the rotor block 30 or the drive plate 39. Heating device 37 and drive plate 39 can advantageously also be formed in one piece (not shown). The drive plate 39, which is firmly connected to the heating plate 37 and has an outer diameter of approximately 30 to 40 cm, can be made, for example, of aluminum or other metals or metal alloys, coated or uncoated to improve heat transfer, and has a plurality of elevations, nipples or grooves on its underside , which are in engagement with a preferably waffle-shaped back surface of the replaceable cleaning mat 20. The positive engagement resulting from the engagement in connection with the frictional engagement caused by the weight of the carpet cleaning machine enables the cleaning mat 20 to rotate together with the rotor 17.

According to the cleaning method according to the invention, the carpet surface to be cleaned is sprayed with a special cleaning liquid which, in addition to water, contains some washing-active substances and various alcohols. To activate the cleaning process, the cleaning device with its rotor 17 rotating in the vertical axis of rotation is then used, the rotational speed of the rotor being in the range between 120 to 240 revolutions per minute. Under the machine, directly on the carpet surface 19 to be cleaned, lies the cleaning mat 20, which was also soaked with the aforementioned cleaning liquid before it was used. Due to the movement of the rotor 17 in connection with the optimal cleaning temperature set by the heater 37 on the regulator 18 or 21 in the area of the drive plate 39 forming the heating surface, the dirt particles are transferred into the cleaning mat 20 by means of the cleaning solution and collect there. Depending on the degree of soiling of the carpet, the cleaning mat 20 is changed for a second or third cleaning process. The soiled cleaning mats 20 are later washed in normal household washing machines or, depending on the degree of soiling, are simply wrung out and used again.

However, the measures according to the invention are not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing figures. For example, several rotors with vertical rotation axes can also be used, or all suitable conventional carpet cleaning devices, provided that these can be equipped with the heating device according to the invention.

The type of heating device is also not limited to the exemplary embodiment. Next to it are on their variants belonging to the prior art can also be used, provided they are suitable for achieving the object of the invention.
