Its olfactory qualities are such that it is used to develop floral-like notes reminiscent of lily of the valley and coriander. Its character is elegant and deep and can, therefore, enrich a good number of compositions by giving them a natural appearance. Its scent is similar to that of linalool, tetrahydrolinalol, dimetol or 4-isopropyl-cyclohexylmethanol [MAYOL (registered trademark of Florence Menich SA)], and can be used to supplement that developed by these ingredients.

1. Verwendung von 4-Cyclohexyl-2-methyl-2-butanol als Riechstoff in Riechstofkompositionen, Seifen, Reinigungsmitteln, Haushaltmaterialien und kosmetischen Produkten.
2. Eine Seife, ein Reinigungsmittel oder ein kosmetisches Produkt, die 4-Cyclohexyl-2-methyl-2-butanol als Riechstoff enthalten.
3. Riechstoffkomposition, die 4-Cyclohexyl-2-methyl-2-butanol als Riechstoff in einer Mischung mit anderen üblichen Riechstoffbestandteilen enthält.
