Definitions
- the invention relates to a plant for deodorization and / or deacidification of edible oils, fats and esters according to the principle of continuous countercurrent falling film steam distillation.
- DE-OS 29 14 101 discloses a system for deodorising and / or deacidifying high-boiling organic compounds, in particular edible oils, esters and / or high-molecular hydrocarbons, in which the liquid to be deodorized and / or deacidified under reduced pressure as a falling film on one Falling film evaporator with vertical flow channels is abandoned and carrier vapor of low molecular weight, eg Water vapor is passed through the falling film evaporator in countercurrent to the liquid phase.
- carrier vapor of low molecular weight eg Water vapor is passed through the falling film evaporator in countercurrent to the liquid phase.
- This known system was developed with the aim of reducing the driving steam requirement compared to known systems of this type and the thermal load on cooking oil, for the treatment of which the system is preferably used, as low as possible in view of the particular thermal and oxidative sensitivity of the natural oil stabilizers to keep. Furthermore, the known system is intended to achieve a better possibility of heat exchange between the liquid flowing in and out. The energy consumption and the motive steam consumption of 7-8 kg / to specified for the treatment of palm oil are still ver relatively high, and the thermal load is too great with regard to the desired durability of the ul products.
- Another plant of this type known from DE-PS 32 27 669 with several successive falling film evaporators working one behind the other and standing in steam and liquid line was developed with the aim of reducing the proportion of free fatty acids and other low boilers in the end product to at least one single process Reduce 0.03 percent by weight, thereby further reducing the motive steam requirement compared to the system known from DE-OS 29 14 101 and significantly reducing the total energy requirement per ton of finished oil.
- This known system with at least two falling film evaporators installed in separate columns is structurally very complex.
- the invention has for its object to develop a system for deodorization and / or deacidification of edible oils, fats and esters - working on the principle of continuous countercurrent falling-film steam distillation - which compared to the known systems by better efficiency due to an increased mass exchange in the distillation because of the good separation effect of the disordered packed bed and due to a lower motive steam consumption and a lower system volume.
- the system according to the invention is characterized not only by the advantages that can be gathered from the task, but also by a very good deodorization effect due to the intensive mixing of oils, fats and esters with the propellant steam in the second distillation zone formed by an unordered packed bed, a substantially better tightness and thus less leakage and a reduced entry of false air and the resulting better quality of the end product as well as a very cost-effective production.
- the system which works according to the principle of continuous countercurrent falling film steam distillation, has a column 1 with a first distillation zone arranged below the feed device in the form of a distributor plate 2 for the liquid to be treated, which is formed by a tube bundle falling film evaporator 3 with vertically running trickle channels , and a second distillation zone located below the first zone, which contains an unordered packed bed 4.
- the liquid to be treated e.g. / cooking oil arrives at a temperature below the start of decomposition via the feed line 5 to the distributor plate 2 in the column head 6, in which a negative pressure in a range of e.g. 2-10 mbar prevails.
- the oil flows in countercurrent to the motive steam introduced via the feed 7 in the column sump 8, preferably Steam, through the evaporator tubes and the downstream packing 4 down.
- An additional distributor for the oil between the falling film evaporator 3 and the packed bed 4 is not required.
- the mixture of motive steam and free fatty acids and other low boilers, such as, for example, odoriferous substances, which collects in the head 6 of the column 1, is drawn off via the discharge line 9 and introduced into a condenser (not shown).
- the purified oil collecting in the column sump 8 is removed via the discharge line 10.
- the tubes of the tube bundle evaporator 3 are heated from the outside by a heating medium, which enters the lower region of the evaporator 3 via the feed line 11, is passed through the evaporator in countercurrent to the Ul flowing down through the tubes, and through the evaporator in the upper region Lead 12 leaves.

Abstract
